I have been trying to contact the Maryland Unemployment Office since being laid off in mid-April. I was able to file for unemployment over the phone with a live agent and got approved within three business days. After waiting for my benefits card to arrive for approximately 2-3 weeks, I discovered online that I needed to file weekly claims and reopen my benefit account which had become inactive. I received an email stating my payment, including all back pay, was sent to my unemployment benefits card totaling $[redacted]. Despite not receiving the card or any mail about unemployment, I was unable to reach anyone at the office. After contacting Bank of America, they informed me the card had been sent to the wrong address, so a new one was expedited. When I finally received the card after delays, I noticed that 7 weeks of back pay were missing from my payment. I've been trying to contact unemployment to resolve this issue but have had no success. I am facing financial difficulties during this pandemic and urgently need the missing payments.

My unemployment claim shows it's active, but I haven't received any payments or my unemployment card. I've filed weekly on my certification/beacon as required. However, there seems to be a discrepancy in my original application regarding my last work date, stating June in one place and August in another. I am waiting on back pay. How can I ensure it will be backdated correctly?

I began receiving unemployment benefits on April 19, [redacted]. I have been actively looking for work, submitting my UI claims weekly, and reporting any additional earnings from commissions or self-employment, which were deducted from my weekly benefit amount. I applied for the PUA benefit promptly but have not received it yet. When I reported my earnings for the week of October 4-10, [redacted], my commission exceeded the weekly benefit, so I expected not to receive any payment for that week. However, my account was unexpectedly marked as Inactive, even though I still had remaining benefits. This situation occurred only once, and I am still in need of financial support. Despite numerous attempts to reach a claim representative over the phone, I have not had any success. I reached out to the MDUI office through Beacon via email weeks ago but have not received a response. I would greatly appreciate any assistance on how to reactivate my account, receive the PUA benefit, and claim the past 6 weeks of benefits. Thank you.

I need to address a concerning issue regarding unemployment benefits being filed in a state where I do not reside. I have never lived, worked, or had any ties to Maryland. Currently, my New York State unemployment claim is on hold due to someone using my information to claim benefits in Maryland. It is rather alarming that benefits were approved for an individual who has never worked in Maryland. I urge the state to improve their auditing process to prevent such fraudulent claims. I have sought legal counsel on this matter, and if not resolved promptly, I will explore potential legal actions to address this situation.

I discovered unauthorized charges on my account, totalling $2,[redacted].66, on 11-21-20. The claim number is [redacted][redacted], and the police report number is [redacted]. I spoke to Officer Williams, badge number G881, from the southwest district, regarding the incident. I received a letter from Bank of America stating that my account was no longer on hold, but upon calling, I learned that it was still closed. They advised me to reach out to your team to resolve this matter.

I worked as a waitress at Buffalo Wild Wings in Waldorf, MD [redacted]. The business closed on March 22, [redacted], and reopened on August 5, [redacted]. I was eligible for compensation of up to $[redacted] per week, minus my weekly earnings. Now, my benefits have been exhausted, and I am trying to apply for PEUC. However, I am unable to update my employment information on the website. Due to reduced restaurant hours and lower customer traffic, my bills are accumulating. I am seeking advice on the next steps. I am eager to return to work and wonder if I qualify for PEUC or my previous unemployment benefits. Thank you for your assistance.

I have been attempting to contact Maryland Unemployment claims customer support for the past three weeks without success. Despite trying multiple phone numbers, the automated system never connects me to a real person. Even when provided with an option to speak with an agent, no one responds. Email communication has also proved unhelpful, as promised responses have not materialized. Three weeks ago, my beacon account prompted me to submit identification proof. Following the instructions meticulously, my account and debit card are now blocked. I am in need of assistance from the Maryland Unemployment division to resolve these issues. Thank you.

I recently spoke with an agent regarding issues with the Beacon portal affecting my fund disbursement options. After following the necessary steps on the portal, I encountered a verification pending message. Today, when I logged in, I was prompted to verify my account by entering two small deposit amounts, which I did promptly. Despite this, my account verification is still pending. The transactions reflected in my account at 1am, yet verification is proving challenging. I prefer not to receive a paper check and struggling to reach live support is adding to my stress, especially since I am relocating soon. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Due to Covid-19, I lost my job in April [redacted]. I have been receiving benefits, but approximately four weeks ago, I was prompted to reapply for benefits. I completed the reapplication but have not received any payments in the past four weeks. Despite multiple calls and emails, the issue remains unresolved. My claim is active with a balance remaining on my beacon account. I am seeking the missing four weeks of payments and any remaining balance. When I reapplied for benefits, I was asked to update my direct deposit information, but I have not received the micro deposits necessary for verification. After attempting without success, I opted for check payments. I have made numerous calls and sent emails to customer service, but have not received assistance. I am in desperate need of help.

I initiated the filing process in March [redacted], but my account got locked due to a fraud investigation. I reached out to the DLLR Secretary of State, who opened case # [redacted]0 to help me. After submitting additional documents like my Social Security card on August 11, [redacted], I was told by KIM that I should receive my Debit card in 7-10 business days. Despite my efforts to secure employment and return to college, I haven't received my Debit card or direct deposit, and KIM hasn't been responsive to my emails. I kindly request an update on my case as I've been struggling since March [redacted] and need the funds for school tuition. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, Lisa TG

I submitted my ID and SS card on February 3rd as advised by an agent to re-verify my identity. Despite being told my documents were received and just needed review, I later discovered they needed to be sent through a different method called the beacon. After doing so and verifying they were received, an agent assured me they were forwarded for review. However, weeks passed with numerous calls but no progress. We even lost our place to live during this delay. Eventually, they informed me the review was complete but encountered an error when trying to release the account. They mentioned it needed a state agent's review to resolve the issue. Despite waiting and contacting them again, the matter remains unresolved after two months, and I am currently living in a camper. I desperately seek assistance to expedite this process as my situation is becoming increasingly challenging.

After being dismissed from my employer 2.5 years ago, I followed Elizabeth Duvall's advice (HR Manager) and filed for unemployment benefits. I diligently followed all instructions given to me through mail, email, and phone calls to the [redacted] number provided for claimants. On the same day, I received a text asking for proof of identity, which I promptly uploaded to the portal. However, I was shocked to receive a denial notice with a false reason stated. It has been 5 months, and I am still waiting to hear back from Maryland regarding my claim.

Subject: Request for Waiver of Mandatory RESEA Workshop Attendance Good Afternoon, I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to address the RESEA Workshop and the mandatory attendance requirement. I have been diligent in submitting my weekly certifications and have furthered my education by completing various courses and earning certifications during my period of unemployment. Regrettably, I must convey that I will be unable to attend the workshop. My wife is currently 39 weeks pregnant and could give birth at any moment. I am concerned about the potential loss of my unemployment benefits due to this unavoidable situation. I kindly ask for a waiver concerning the compulsory attendance at the workshop. I am willing to furnish any necessary documentation regarding my wife's pregnancy and imminent due date. I appreciate your consideration in this matter. Warm regards, David R.
