In my current position at Saint Mary's County, I am feeling pressured to engage in fraudulent activities during inspections. The program manager has threatened repercussions such as meeting with the executive director and potential termination if the issues are not resolved. Additionally, I have been assigned tasks beyond my job description with the reasoning that they fall under "other duties assigned." This situation has led to significant stress and related health problems, causing me to leave work early on multiple occasions. I am considering resigning from my position and am wondering if I would still be eligible for unemployment benefits. Despite actively seeking alternative employment opportunities, I have been advised by a representative from Manpower that there are currently no available job openings.

Today, I had a phone interview regarding my halted payments. I missed a workshop from the end of July to August due to medical reasons and provided doctor's notes. Even though I got my payments reinstated, they were stopped again because I was not informed to reschedule the missed workshop. Once I found out, I immediately contacted the Maryland East Side Career Center to set up a new workshop date. I called unemployment after attending the workshop to let them know before my hearing. I only found out about the phone interview by calling on September 17th; I received no email or mail notification from the unemployment office. I am concerned about potentially being denied if the attendance of the workshop does not reflect positively on my payments.

About two months ago, the employee who was supposed to arrive at 8:30 am to help me open the store on time had not shown up yet. I waited until 8:45 before attempting to open the store by myself as there are tasks that need to be completed before opening. Rushing to get the cash terminals ready, I sent an email to my superiors about 10 minutes after entering the store alone. The employee arrived at 8:55, and I was alone in the store for about 10 minutes. There are security cameras throughout the store that captured my actions. Today, I was called into the store manager's office around noon and informed I was terminated for this incident. I have previously experienced other Goodwill managers waiting up to 15 minutes before opening without issue, and there is a policy regarding two employees being present while opening the store on paper at Goodwill.

I have been called back to work by my employer, Hayfields Country Club. I worked on 3/12, 3/13, and 3/14, and I earned more than my weekly benefit amount. I submitted a Webcert for the week ending 3/14. On 3/17, due to the current situation with Coronavirus, I was informed not to report to work as the locker room was closed for all members and staff. I wasn't able to file a Webcert for the week ending 3/21 because I received a notice on 3/17 stating Non Payment Of Claim and that I needed to call to reopen my claim before receiving any further benefits. I have been trying to contact the Unemployment number ([redacted]) every 15 minutes for 6 hours today without speaking to a representative. How can I reopen my claim if I can't reach a representative as instructed? Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

I believe I have been incorrectly categorized for unemployment benefits. I am not planning on seeking work elsewhere as I am committed to going back to my employer when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. I received an email with the confirmation number [redacted]81 and a letter instructing me to file a weekly claim. The letter also requests additional information about job searches which I do not intend to do. My employer has already submitted all the necessary information to facilitate this process, but I find it confusing. I am hoping for clarification via email. Thank you for your assistance.

I received a letter dated March 30, [redacted], concerning a payment due on April 4, stating that no further benefits would be paid until my separation reason was verified. I was injured by a student while teaching and had to use a leg brace and cane due to Diabetes, causing daily leg swelling and mobility issues. I resigned from my full-time teaching position on April 1, [redacted], but continue to work as a Substitute Teacher at PGCPS. I worked until March [redacted], when Maryland schools closed due to Covid-19. Verify with Central High's principal, Ms. Keisha Wallace, and timekeeper, Ms. Lorditch, that I am still employed by PGCPS and unable to work due to the pandemic. I have not engaged in any illegal activities. Please review your records, noting that I can only return to work once schools reopen. Thank you for your attention. I applied for unemployment back in March when non-essential businesses began to close. While I lost one job, my other full-time job remained unaffected. Despite this, I was advised to file for unemployment due to losing a job to Covid-19, making me eligible for "business interruption" benefits. However, after filing, both my jobs were considered, resulting in a weekly benefit amount as if I had lost both. As my current situation involves being employed, I have tried to reach out via phone and email to rectify this but have not received a response. I simply want to close the claim to avoid receiving undeserved funds or update it to accurately reflect my employment status. Additionally, I wonder if closing the claim now would allow me to reopen it at the end of May if I were to lose my full-time job due to the pandemic persisting.

Hello, I am Lauren Ward. I recently received a notification from UI on 4/27 suggesting I might not be eligible for payments due to uncertain information. Despite no alerts on my Beacon account for a meeting or interview, everything appears normal. About a month ago, I applied, received payment details, but have not yet gotten my debit card, with no payments issued on my account. I've been unsuccessful reaching out by phone or email, hence this message. I hope to confirm my account's status and locate my debit card. Appreciate any assistance. Thank you. -Lauren Ward

Hello, I am Ryley H. I need help with my benefits application. Despite being approved, my military income is not included in my benefit calculations. I have been unable to connect with an agent to resolve this issue. Additionally, reporting a few hours of military work caused a halt in my benefits without the chance to disclose my actual earnings. I am struggling to get any further assistance. Here is how to contact me:

Student Email: [redacted]
Phone number: [redacted] (best method)
Alternate phone number: [redacted]
Thank you for any help you can provide.

As a licensed Home Inspector in Maryland since [redacted], I have been unable to conduct inspections since March 13, [redacted]. I applied for Unemployment Insurance as a self-employed individual in late March. I received an email on April 17th to complete an online form, but the system kept crashing when I tried. From April 19th to April 22nd, I attempted to fill out the application multiple times, experiencing crashes six times at different stages. Finally, around 3:30 am on the 22nd or 23rd, I managed to submit the application, or so I thought.
Upon checking the status of my application for funding, I noticed that some of the information I provided is missing, and I cannot find a way to edit it. I have been trying to reach out for assistance by phone at [redacted] for hours every day over the past week, but I have not been able to get through. Any guidance or a callback would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

I have not received my unemployment benefits for this week, while my coworker already got hers. I'm struggling to reach someone over the phone, as my emails remain unanswered and the virtual chat is unhelpful. I'm worried about the delay - could it be due to high volume or an accidental deactivation of my account? Despite checking that everything is in order, I still haven't received any payment. These benefits are crucial for my family's food and bill payments. I'm hesitant to spend the little money left on my card without knowing if more payments are coming. This is my first time on unemployment, and having been approved and received the debit card, I'm concerned about the missing payment. I appreciate any help in resolving this issue promptly.
Stay safe and healthy,
J. M-K.

My initial unemployment claim expired on April 2nd, [redacted]. I successfully submitted a new claim on Maryland's new Beacon website. I have been diligently filing my weekly certifications, but unfortunately, no payments have been made yet. I still possess the Bank of America debit card from Maryland unemployment, and the website states that "no action items needed." I am struggling to resolve this issue as I have been unable to reach anyone over the phone for the past five weeks. Despite numerous attempts throughout the week, I have not had any success in contacting a representative. It has been incredibly frustrating as I am now owed payments for six weeks, including the additional 13 weeks and the $[redacted] supplement per week. Although everything seems in order on the website, I have not received any payments or communication via letter or email. This situation is causing significant distress.

After reviewing my unemployment record, I discovered I was only approved for three weeks, despite consistently filing my webcert from 3/15/20 onwards. I spoke with an unemployment representative last Wednesday, who assured me of approval and advised me to wait 5-7 business days for my card. Today, I was surprised to receive a friend's call about an email confirmation that I never received. I am concerned about the missing weeks in Beacon that I have been filing for. Additionally, my dependents are not listed, even though I have four children. I urgently need these funds and seek help to rectify these issues promptly. How can I reach someone promptly to address and resolve these discrepancies?

I submitted my filing through Beacon over 3 weeks ago but have not received any updates. I am seeking guidance on how to proceed to receive the enhanced MDUI and Federal subsidy through PUA benefits. I missed the deadline for a webcert submission and was late for 4/19/20. Despite the system accepting and paying me for the 4/19/20 webcert, I have been unable to submit any more webcerts since 4/26/20 as I am blocked from accessing the site. The site seems inactive, only displaying my claimant maintenance page. When attempting to telecert over the phone, I was informed that my account was deactivated and needed reactivation through speaking to a representative. Despite my daily attempts to reach out for assistance and numerous calls to the support line, I have been unsuccessful in getting through to live support.

I recently applied for unemployment due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, my application seems to be going through regular unemployment instead of the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA). My manager advised me to apply because of the pandemic, but I'm facing difficulties. I am 19 years old, living independently without support from my parents who have moved away. I am struggling to afford basic necessities like food, transportation, and laundry. I have been working full-time since I was 16, commuting long hours before this crisis. Despite filing my claim late due to website crashes, I haven't received any communication or an unemployment card. The delay in payments could lead me to fall behind on rent and possibly move out, as I also need to save up for a car for work and medical appointments. I am overwhelmed with responsibilities at a young age after my family left. I just need urgent assistance and answers. Thank you for your help.

The website lacks phone numbers, and the virtual assistant is unhelpful. Furthermore, the site's instructional video is also inadequate. The Beacon site is overall ineffective as it lacks real-person assistance. Specific issues include the site's inability to remember usernames and passwords, the inability to perform any actions after logging in, discrepancies between the video instructions and actual screen view hindering the weekly filing process, the inability to select weeks for claims, and unhelpful virtual assistance. Attempting to resolve these issues has been time-consuming, surpassing three hours without significant progress. The "Contact Us" section is unhelpful as it provides no contact information or phone numbers for assistance.

Good Afternoon,
I'm reaching out because I need help with contacting unemployment insurance. I've never had issues before, but since 7/27 when the extended benefits started, I've been having trouble. Despite successfully filing my first claim on 8/4, the following week the system required me to upload documents I hadn't needed previously, preventing me from filing for the week ending 8/9. I called and generated a confirmation number, but my claim was then switched to PUA without my input, causing payment delays. Despite numerous calls and emails, I haven't received a response to correct this computer error. I've tried contacting them 47 times today alone, with no luck. My bills are piling up, and I just need them to fix my claim so I can catch up. I appreciate any help in resolving this issue.
Thank you.

Maryland Unemployment Assistance Needed!
I have been struggling with my unemployment benefits in Maryland since September 8, [redacted]. Maryland locked my account because I recently moved to South Carolina. Despite following instructions from both states, Maryland requires me to exhaust my benefits in SC before unlocking my MD account. I have diligently sent requested ID documents weeks ago as instructed. Unfortunately, every time I contact Maryland UI, I receive conflicting information. SC is unable to proceed until my MD account is unlocked for merging. The process seems redundant as merging should transfer all necessary data.
Since August 2, [redacted], I haven't received any payments. I urgently need Maryland to verify and release my account, merge my SC claim for back pay, and clarify the next steps after SC benefits are depleted. A Maryland UI representative mentioned applying for PUA in MD, but I am uncertain. Seeking guidance on the available benefit amounts and the necessary course of action moving forward.
