Last April, our identity was stolen, and the IRS is refusing to acknowledge our [redacted] tax return, claiming it was already filed. Despite multiple attempts and providing various documents, the issue remains unresolved. Regrettably, we cannot obtain the refund for the taxes paid in [redacted]. As the new tax season approaches, it is frustrating to be dealing with this situation. It seems unfair that individuals misusing our identity could receive refunds effortlessly, while we struggle to reclaim a modest $[redacted]. The process has been challenging, and a resolution is still pending.

I submitted my tax return on February 22, [redacted], but I have not received it yet. I called previously when I thought it was taking too long, and the representative assured me it would be a short wait. I was supposed to receive $12,[redacted] in my Cash App account. However, on May 18, I received a notification that $8,[redacted] was being transferred without my consent, which included my stimulus money for me and my three kids. This transfer went to a unknown account on May 20, [redacted]. Despite contacting Cash App and them acknowledging the suspicious activity, they did not stop it. I had to block multiple unauthorized transactions and my account was eventually closed. I have evidence of the transactions and attempted to contact Cash App, but they are unresponsive. Someone even purchased stocks after my account was supposedly closed. I am a mother of three, and I am at a loss on what to do next. My entire refund has been taken, and I suspect fraud. I need urgent assistance in resolving this matter and would appreciate help in contacting the IRS.

I e-filed my taxes on February 22, [redacted], and I am still waiting to receive them. I contacted once before, and they mentioned that they were working on it quickly. I was initially expecting a deposit of $12,[redacted] into my Cash App account. On May 18, I received a notification about a transfer of $[redacted], including my stimulus funds for me and my three kids. The remaining stimulus payments and some unknown account transactions occurred on May 20, [redacted], without my authorization, even after I blocked some transactions. Despite contacting Cash App and providing evidence, they have changed my account details without my consent. I have records of all interactions with them, demonstrating unauthorized activities on my account even after they claimed it was closed. I suspect fraudulent actions have depleted my refund, and I need urgent assistance to prevent further losses and unauthorized stock purchases.

To whom it may concern, I encountered an issue with filing my taxes on taxslayer.com for [redacted] as it showed a rejection code indicating they were already filed. I sought help from Jackson Hewitt, and Mario N. assisted me, helped me send the physical copies to the IRS in April [redacted]. After the IRS requested my W-2 and signature again in August, I complied. However, I have not yet received any updates regarding my refund or letter. I have relocated from San Antonio, Texas to Jacksonville, Fl, compounding the situation. Efforts to reach the IRS have been futile; the automated system disconnects calls due to high volume. I have not spoken to a live agent in almost a month, and promises to send verification letters have not materialized. I urgently need assistance to resolve the tax filing for [redacted], secure my stimulus, and plan for [redacted]. Your prompt response is greatly appreciated as I am extremely frustrated by this unresolved issue and the lack of communication. Thank you, Todd M.

After completing my [redacted] taxes on TaxSlayer.com, I received a rejection code falsely indicating they were already filed. I had to go to Jackson Hewitt and meet with Mario Nichols (who helped with my [redacted] taxes) to resolve the issue. I mailed in the necessary documents for identity theft in April [redacted] to the IRS. Later, the forms were returned requesting further information. Despite multiple attempts to contact the IRS hotline, reaching a live representative has been challenging, leading to unresolved identity verification and potential tax filing issues. I possess essential documents to prove my identity, including my passport, driver's license, social security card, and tax transcripts. I am eager to rectify this identity theft situation promptly to avoid financial losses and filing obstacles for this year's taxes. Swift assistance from the IRS is crucial, and I hope to resolve this matter promptly. Thank you for your understanding and anticipated help. Todd L May, [redacted]

I completed my taxes on TaxSlayer.com and as I was about to finish, I received a rejection code stating they were already filed, which wasn't true. I had to visit Jackson Hewitt and see Mario Nichols who prepared my taxes. He printed them out, and I mailed them to the IRS with identity theft paperwork in April. I later found out I needed to resend the W-2 form with a clearer signature. In September, my taxes were returned to my previous address, and I had to sign the form again. Despite multiple calls to IRS hotline with no success, I haven't received any paperwork to prove my identity. Last night, the call dropped with a lady from WV who was helping me. I want to resolve this identity theft issue promptly. I have all necessary documents to prove my identity and clean up this situation. I want to sort this out quickly as I am facing financial losses and need to file my taxes. I appreciate your help in resolving this matter. Thank you, Todd L May

Compass of Carolina was my previous payee when I was unwell. They received all three of my stimulus checks, except $[redacted] that I got in a check format, falling short of the total amount. One of the $[redacted] checks is deposited at Bank of Travelers Rest under the name Willie Morton. Despite numerous attempts, both by myself and my dad, to reach out to Compass and Mr. Morton, we have not received any response. Mr. Morton refused to assist me in transferring the funds after I visited their office, claiming I am no longer associated with them. The $[redacted] payment received was part of the $[redacted] stimulus, and the $[redacted] and $[redacted] stimulus payments must be claimed through Mr. Morton at Compass of Carolina. I believe the IRS needs to intervene as Compass seems to have changed my details without my consent to benefit themselves. I urgently need this money as I am reliant on disability and social security support.

I suspect my Social Security Number was stolen some months ago. Recently, I discovered that someone used it to file a tax return for the [redacted] tax year without my consent. Since my income for [redacted] was minimal and I hadn't filed a return, I only realized this when my parents mentioned it. I completed a tax identity theft form and sent it to the IRS. However, I have not received any follow-up. As I prepare to file my taxes now, I am concerned about the security of my SSN and would like guidance on what steps to take next.
