I have full sole guardianship of the minor traveling with me to Egypt. We both possess passports, birth certificates, and social security cards. I also have my driver's license. The issue arises as the guardianship is listed under my maiden name and formerly known as my married name, which is also on my passport. However, I have additional proof such as my birth certificate and social security card in both names. A friend mentioned they traveled under similar circumstances, so we bought our tickets. Despite this, I am feeling anxious and need to confirm before our departure in two days.

When I renewed my driver's license, I included my full name (Mary Ann), maiden name (Noecker), and married name (Guadagno). Despite providing ample documentation, the DMV noted an issue because my U.S. Passport only displays "Mary Ann Guadagno" rather than "Mary Ann Noecker Guadagno." They suggested aligning my passport name with my driver's license. My passport, issued on July 11, [redacted], is valid until July 10, [redacted]. Is the MD DMV's request correct? I reached out to the provided number and waited on hold for over 2 hours before having to return to work. Unfortunately, my call was never answered. I applied for a passport with expedited service on 4/28/[redacted]. Today, on 5/20/[redacted], I finally received an email confirmation from the US Department of State. The email acknowledged the receipt of my application and mentioned that processing will take 4-6 weeks. I'm unsure if this timeframe starts from my submission date of 4/28/[redacted] or from the date of the email on 5/20/[redacted]. I paid for expedited service for myself and my three children, costing an additional $[redacted], to ensure we have our passports before our trip on June 20th (which would be June 9th within the 6-week timeframe). The email lacks clarity, and I need to confirm when the 4-6 week processing period begins. Otherwise, I might have to cancel our trip, rendering the expedited service pointless. This situation is causing me considerable anxiety.

I have been trying to reach a live agent for the past 2 hours without any luck. The website states they are available until 8pm EST, but I can't navigate through the phone system to book an appointment. The online booking system for last-minute appointments has been removed, so calling the National Passport Information Center at 1-[redacted] (TDD/TTY 1-[redacted]) from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, is now the only option. This is urgent for medical purposes, and I hope to secure an appointment soon.

I am inquiring about the process of renewing my passport as my previous one was recently stolen by my ex right after I had just renewed it. Since my old passport is essential for proving my citizenship, I am unsure if I can simply renew it again or if I need to apply for a completely new one. The information provided states that representatives are available, but when I call, I only hear general information with no option to speak to a representative. The issue I am facing is that I submitted passport renewal applications for both my wife and myself simultaneously. My application was returned due to an unacceptable photo, which I have since corrected and resubmitted. However, now my wife's application has encountered the same problem. They have returned all documents including the check. I am wondering if it is possible for them to hold my application until I can resubmit my wife's application.

I'm looking to get an update on my passport status. I opted for expedited processing and submitted my renewal in October. However, I received a letter on November 16 instructing me to fill out a new application as I wasn't eligible for renewal. I promptly resubmitted the application, which they received on November 22. I found a phone number for passport inquiries on what appeared to be a legitimate website. However, when I called, I was unable to speak with a representative. I want to confirm if my documents are correct for my upcoming travel in June [redacted]. My passport card has a mistake in my last name, but it's valid until 1/16/[redacted]. I believe I need to submit form DS-[redacted] for a name change, enclosing a photo ID and a name authentication document. Since my passport card is valid, the fee should be $0. Our marriage took place at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints temple, and the certificate is a valid legal document. I visited my local passport office at the courthouse on June 5, [redacted], to renew my passport. I paid $[redacted], completed the paperwork provided, had it validated, and was instructed to mail it from the local post office for processing. My payment was processed on July 10, [redacted]. However, on October 15, I received a letter stating that my passport renewal was overdue and required new paperwork. Despite reapplying on February 1, paying $35 in processing fees in person, and not being asked for a new photo since they had the previous one, I received a denial letter on February 15. I went to apply for a passport with my 16-year-old daughter and was informed by the librarian processing our application that the check I used would serve as my "statement of consent." I was told I didn't need a notarized statement, but now received a letter from the Department of State requesting one. I found the form on the Passport website, had it notarized, and sent it along with a copy of my ID. I want to confirm if I sent the correct information regarding the notarized statement of consent and if my daughter's application is now complete.
