I recently watched a fascinating program on the Weather Channel that explained the science behind thunder and lightning. I would like to request that the Weather Channel airs this program more frequently and also creates a special version for high school science teachers to use in their classrooms. After learning about thunder and lightning, I have realized that many people I know are unaware of the cause. I believe that improving the quality of science education in high schools is essential, and providing this resource could help achieve that goal. Interestingly, people in ancient times believed thunder and lightning were caused by Zeus throwing thunderbolts, which were crafted by cyclops. This knowledge is not commonly known but is significant in understanding the historical perceptions of this natural phenomenon. Thank you for considering my suggestions. - JD

I would like to reach out to Trevor in Lake Charles to share insights on storm restoration efforts. With 40 years of experience working on the front lines of storms, I believe I could provide valuable information to help expedite the process. Trevor's scientific analysis of Laura's eyewalls was impressive, and I admire his professionalism and calm demeanor, even after experiencing the intensity of the storm firsthand. Having been through similar experiences during Alicia, Ike, Carla, Harvey, and Donna, I believe I could offer suggestions to assist those currently suffering in the aftermath of the storm. While I understand direct contact may be challenging, I hope to contribute ideas that could potentially shorten the restoration timeline, which is estimated to be around 14 days. I have firsthand experience working tirelessly in difficult conditions following storms and am eager to offer my insights to support the community during this challenging time.

I have reached out to various news channels seeking answers. When they advised evacuating for so-called CAT4 Laura in Louisiana and Texas, I couldn't ignore the resemblance to Hurricane Rita. I observed the situation unfold, with news reporters seemingly risking their lives, warning of an "Unsurvivable" storm surge. It seemed like a manipulated and exaggerated scenario. The lack of usual satellite and storm-tracking plane footage raised suspicions. This irresponsible behavior could have serious consequences, including unnecessary spending and increased risk of contracting Corona. This deceitful campaign needs to be held accountable, and I will not stop at voicing my concerns to various media platforms until I find the truth. It is unacceptable to play with people's lives in such a manner, regardless of the current political climate.

I recently learned about the risks of running a generator in a garage. The safest way to operate a generator of any size is by converting it to use propane. Conversion kits can be easily found online. Most factories use propane for their machinery like lift trucks and forklifts. Any generator can be converted to run on propane. Although propane may have a noticeable smell, the fumes are not lethal. Personally, I converted my 8,[redacted] generator to propane years ago. It has a ten-gallon gas tank so when the propane runs out, I switch to fuel without any hassle. Placing the generator near the garage door ensures fumes are directed outside. To enhance safety, I use a floor fan connected to the generator to ventilate any fumes. Converting to propane is straightforward and manageable for anyone. No response needed, I just wanted to share this information with others. P.S. Some small two-cycle generators cannot be converted to propane due to oil in the fuel. Enjoy your show! Hello, I need some assistance. I am a Windstream telephone company customer, and they have recently stopped offering cable TV services. This has left me unable to access The Weather Channel live 24/7 for real-time updates. I can only find past program videos online. I have been a loyal viewer of TWC for 25 years, and I feel lost without it. Could you please help me find a service that allows me to watch The Weather Channel live? I miss the direct access to the channel. Thank you. - Bill K., email: [redacted], residing in Sautee, GA (White County), Zip [redacted].

I am reaching out from Panama City, Florida. We've been affected by hurricanes Michael and Sally. The local warnings provided by the Tallahassee Weather Service, displayed at the bottom of your screen, are incredibly helpful during severe weather conditions like flash floods and tornadoes. I appreciate the valuable local information you provide. I've noticed that an audio version of this information is essential for those who are visually impaired or not actively watching the screen. However, the audio is continuously repeated in a loop, making it challenging to hear updates on strong storms like Sally. Due to this constant repetition, we were unable to access The Weather Channel for crucial updates on storm intensity, track, and future predictions during Hurricane Sally. I hope you can address this issue promptly as it impacts our ability to receive timely and critical storm information. Thank you, Carol Harwood.

I experienced the impact of Hurricane Michael followed by Hurricane Sally and the severe weather alerts issued for Tallahassee. The local information provided at the bottom of the screen regarding flash floods or tornados is highly valuable. I acknowledge the importance of an audio version for individuals who are visually impaired or not able to watch the screen continuously. Unfortunately, the audio loop on The Weather Channel is constantly repeating, hindering viewers like me from receiving crucial updates on powerful storms like Sally. The lack of breaks between messages makes it challenging to grasp the storm's intensity, path, and future forecasts efficiently. I urge The Weather Channel to address this issue promptly. - Carol H.

I would like to make sure there are no misunderstandings; my name is Theldon. I am frustrated with the Weather Channel regarding their coverage of the [redacted] election. I feel they have shown bias towards the Democratic party and left-leaning ideologies. I believe the channel has sold out to the leftists and has not been fair in representing different perspectives, especially those supporting President Trump. As a supporter of the President, I am disappointed with the channel's stance. I hope they can present a more balanced view in the future. Thank you.

Recently, I have been receiving messages asking me to disable my ad blocker to view the weather report on The Weather Channel website. I have never adjusted my ad blocker settings before and I am unsure why this requirement has suddenly appeared. I am not very knowledgeable about computers, and I fear making changes to the programs my daughter set up for me could lead to issues. I generally do not engage with ads on websites as I do not have the financial means to make impulsive purchases. If there are severe weather conditions, I rely on the town siren for alerts and I may have to seek an alternative weather website that does not demand turning off my ad blocker. Despite using The Weather Channel site for approximately 15 years, I remain unmoved by ads and cautious with my spending due to limited income.

I had an unpleasant experience with your channel. I faithfully tuned in every day at the specified time to get my local forecast as advertised, but it was never shown. This is disappointing and frustrating. If this continues, viewers might consider boycotting your channel, affecting your sponsors and advertisers. It is crucial to deliver what is promised. I'm not interested in global weather or yesterday's forecast, just my local weather. Please improve your services and stay true to your word. It is essential to provide customers with the information they rely on.

(1) I appreciate The Weather Channel for its weather-focused programming, such as forecasts and live updates. Recently, I noticed political ads, particularly for Biden, airing on the channel. I prefer to watch weather content instead of political advertisements.
(2) Living in Childress, Texas, located in the southeast area of the Texas Panhandle, we experience extreme weather conditions. Despite being a populous and active county situated between Amarillo, Vernon, and Lubbock, we rarely see Childress featured on The Weather Channel maps. Storm chasers often base themselves here during tornado season. I wonder why smaller towns like Memphis and Wellington are highlighted, while Childress, a significant area, is not recognized.

Hello, Weather Channel,
As a survivor of the Big Thompson Canyon flood, I wanted to share more specific and personal information about the event. I noticed there was a lack of personal accounts from survivors on your channel. In [redacted], my husband and I narrowly escaped being victims of the flood as we chose to keep driving towards Estes Park instead of stopping in a lower area. This decision possibly saved our lives, as many others perished in the tragedy.
If you are interested in hearing more details about my experience, please provide me with the appropriate email address or a phone number to contact the Weather Channel.
I am a big fan of your channel and enjoy learning from your programs, especially the ones explaining the 'what, why, how it works' aspects of weather events. Keep up the fantastic work!
Thank you,
Betsie Hartman
P.S. I was also near Hurricane Katrina in [redacted], adding to my curiosity about weather events. Laughingly, my family teasingly calls me the "Weather Channel aficionado" as your channel is always on in my house.

While watching Storm Stories on November 5th, a rescue of a scared cat from the Thames in London was featured. The process took time and patience but was successful. However, some meteorologists made comments implying that rescuing a cat was not worth the effort, despite not directly stating it. One meteorologist even seemed surprised that the cat could swim, not realizing that all mammals can swim, though cats may not enjoy it. This attitude of valuing cats less than dogs or other animals is disappointing and disrespectful to all life. Rescuers should be commended for their efforts, regardless of the species being saved.

The current situation with Covid has become political despite the importance of science. Providing clear guidance on wearing masks can help prevent outbreaks. Creating a Covid forecast similar to a weather report might be helpful for public health. It's vital to communicate effectively to ensure people understand the risks and take appropriate actions. Mixing humor with important messages can sometimes be effective in getting the point across. Let's focus on following guidelines to keep everyone safe.

I apologize for reaching out again, but my dad mentioned that the car thermometer reads 65 degrees, which differs from your forecast. He suggested that the weather channel may be more accurate. Could you please update the weather channel to provide the most precise forecast for my location? If the temperature ends up being 65 degrees, could you ensure the weather channel reflects this? I greatly appreciate your assistance and understanding in making sure the temperature is accurate when viewing the local forecast. Thank you very much for your help and attention to this matter.

I came across an advertisement on your website for a discounted Sam's Club Membership at $23.11 by a company named StackSocial. They do not have an agreement with Sam's Club to offer such a deal. Customers mistakenly believe they are interacting with Sam's Club, but they are actually dealing with StackSocial. Unfortunately, when trying to cancel orders, customers cannot get in touch with the company for a refund either by phone or online. This situation reflects poorly on your site, and I suggest removing this advertising to maintain your customer base.

The new iOS iPhone update is disappointing. The Weather Channel feature was user-friendly, but now it's confusing to navigate. Today, all I wanted was to check the forecast, but I found myself stuck in maps without clear instructions on how to exit. After tapping around the screen, I finally managed to escape by tapping a small triangle in the upper left corner. It would be helpful to have a visible menu or navigation guide instead of relying on cryptic symbols and trial and error. It seems like the app designer prioritized style over functionality. Additionally, if the app is no longer linked to the Weather Channel, it should be stated upfront to save users' time. This misleading approach to gather email addresses is unethical. I'm frustrated and doubt anything will improve. I'm sharing this feedback to express my frustration and disappointment.

Hello TWC support team,
I am a dedicated user of your Weather Channel widget on my Android device, but recently I have encountered some difficulties. While I appreciate the widget's ability to update my location automatically as I move from city to city, it no longer seems to be functioning correctly. Despite adjusting the settings within the app to reflect my current location, the widget fails to update accordingly.
I have attempted to resolve this issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the application multiple times, as well as resetting my phone, which resulted in data loss. I have also explored various settings options within the app without success. I would greatly appreciate any assistance or suggestions you may have to address this problem. Thank you for your help.

For the past week, we've been experiencing sound issues with The Weather Channel on our TV. After reaching out to Comcast and ruling out any problems on their end or with our TV, they advised us to contact TWC. We are able to hear sound during local commercials, but national ones remain silent. Additionally, the informational text at the bottom of the screen disappears during local ads. Sometimes, we catch a word or two from TWC before the sound cuts out entirely. We are seeking assistance in understanding why this is occurring and what steps can be taken to address this issue.
