Referring to a letter dated July [redacted] with number [redacted] addressed to 3 Braidbar Court, Glasgow, G46 6SU, I want to inform you that I have received it at my new address, 72 Finch Road, Greenock, PA16 7DB. Feel free to reach out if you need further details. Best regards, C. A. Andrews, Mrs.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a phone call I received last night, 30/8/18, at 8:45 PM, questioning the cancellation of my bank debit. Despite your call center hours ending at 6:30 PM, someone contacted me late at night regarding my account, which I find invasive. I have held a TV license for 35 years and have always been compliant. I explained my situation of moving and the upcoming need for a new license, but the caller persisted in requesting personal information over the phone, including bank details. I refused due to concerns of potential scams. I have arranged to pay for another month's license from my new bank, but I am disappointed with the way I was approached. It is frustrating to be hassled in this manner as a law-abiding citizen. I wish to file a formal complaint regarding this incident.

I am experiencing issues with your service regarding my three property licenses. I annually pay the fees via direct debit on different dates but do not consistently receive renewal emails or notifications of fee collection. I have been unsuccessful in identifying where I can check online for the email addresses associated with each license. The lack of contact information on your website led me to frustration. Upon locating a contact number through a search engine, the automated phone system forced me to navigate multiple options unsuccessfully before finally being informed that all staff members were occupied and unable to assist me. The call abruptly ended, leaving me feeling overwhelmed by the poor customer service experience. This situation has caused me significant stress and dissatisfaction. If it were not for my obligation to maintain these licenses, I would prefer not to engage with your organization in the future. I am still without resolution and may need to endure the same ordeal if I choose to contact your customer service again.

My son recently obtained the keys to his new flat. Since he is currently at sea, I have assumed possession of the flat as of 1/10/18. I am now responsible for contacting all service providers. Upon receiving your letter, I felt intimidated by the numerous threats mentioned. Please be sure to thoroughly investigate, as this property has likely been vacant for quite some time. My son will reach out to you upon his return to land. In the meantime, the television services will not be active. Who is behind the wording of these letters? Will you actually be visiting on the 18th of October as indicated? The frequency of visiting properties is quite astonishing. These letters could greatly distress individuals with anxiety. Are you certain that such threatening letters are lawful? As reiterated, my son will reach out to you when he returns from his voyage, around the middle of next week.

I have received an email informing me that Television Licensing in the UK is issuing a refund of [redacted].24 to my credit/debit card. To claim the refund, I need to complete a form on the Deposit Television website. The email includes details like the reference number ([redacted]0.[redacted]28) and the issuing date (17/10/[redacted]). It mentions my email address ([redacted]) and that the payment method was online by credit/debit card. It also advises me to save or print the email for my records. I am concerned if this email is spam and how my details were obtained. Can anyone provide insight on this matter? Thank you.

I recently received an email from [redacted] regarding a TV License renewal issue. The message stated that there was a problem with my payment and that if not resolved, my license could be canceled or passed to a debt collection agency. However, I am confused because I have no affiliation with this company and have not lived in my own house for three years. I am seeking clarification on this matter as it is the first time I am hearing about it.

After a phone call on January 2, [redacted], I submitted an online request to cancel my account number [redacted] and requested a refund for £[redacted].50 charged on the same day. I received a confusing email with reference TVL1-[redacted] from Meena Bharatwal stating that I didn't have any outstanding months on the license. Frustrated, I called to resolve this on January 18. After 30 minutes of circling back, I spoke to Sully, who said I had incorrectly dated the form and needed to redo the entire process by mail. It's baffling to have an online form if the details are not properly reviewed. It seems unreasonable to ask me to resubmit when I've already completed the initial form. I've already informed you I don't need the service, so the complexity around a simple refund is unnecessary. Could you please investigate this matter and provide a clear explanation, as it's concerning that despite confirming my situation, this issue persists.

My TV license expired on March 29, [redacted]. Usually, I renew it online, but this time I set up a direct debit on February 19, [redacted]. I planned to pay a total of £[redacted] by August to cover this year and an additional £76 towards [redacted]. Upon realizing this was not acceptable, I cancelled the direct debit. Despite receiving an email confirmation on February 20, [redacted], I couldn't log in online due to my license status. I called but waited 30 minutes with no response. An email reply said I had to wait since my license expired on March 28, [redacted]. Despite many attempts to renew online, the issue persisted. I've emailed and tried calling the [redacted] number at different times without success. Today, I received a reminder threatening enforcement action if not renewed by the 20th. Even attempting payment at a paypoint failed. I have written another email to the Customer Service Manager seeking resolution, as phone calls have led to extended holds. I now await the enforcement team's intervention for a solution.

To the Owner / Occupier at 2 Langford Place, Parkhouse Estate, Glasgow, G53 7HZ,
Following the visit on 20th March [redacted] by 2 TV Licensing representatives, I want to inform you that all your company representatives are now prohibited from visiting this address.
This goes beyond revoking any implied right of access. The disrespectful and inappropriate remarks made during the visit were intolerable. In the presence of my adult nephew, one of your representatives referred to me in a derogatory manner, leading to an immediate end of the visit.
Henceforth, no representatives from your company will be welcome at this address, and any further attempts may be considered harassment, prompting notification to the relevant authorities.

I have cancelled my TV license multiple times and moved from my property in November [redacted]. Despite this, you have continued to take money from my account, leaving me overdrawn. This situation is unacceptable, as I have made several calls and requests for cancellation with no resolution. My former address was 19 Newton Road, Gedling, Nottm NG4 4HL. One of your employees contacted my sister regarding my TV license. I have multiple mental health issues and more important things to worry about. Unfortunately, your website is not user-friendly. Every time I try to log in, it's either not working or undergoing maintenance. Even when I manage to access it, changing my payment plan to yearly doesn't work. I don't watch TV due to repetitive shows and biased news. The Channel Islands are not closely related to the UK, as clarified by you and the EU. We only share a connection through the royal family and Normandy. If you need to discuss my TV license, please contact me via email. I hope we can resolve the payment matter promptly. My customer number is [redacted]58 under the initials R.D. I urge you to improve your website functionality and update my payment plan to yearly for my convenience. Thank you.

I am reluctantly renewing my TV License due to the current law, which feels outdated. The Women's World Cup in June is only shown on BBC, so I must have a license. I disagree with the low-quality presenters and high salaries paid with public funds, especially as I see repeated programs that I've already paid for over 46 years. It's frustrating to be obliged to pay for this service. Please note my concerns for future reference.

Approximately a month ago, a letter with reference number [redacted] was received concerning the property at 14 Layton Avenue, Malvern, WR14 2ND, stating there was no TV license. The property owner, J T Pearse, who is [redacted] years old, had a misunderstanding as I mistakenly applied for a free over-75 license on his behalf. Upon further communication, it was discovered that my father is registered at a different address, and Layton Ave is considered a second home. After verifying with the care home where my father resides full-time, it was confirmed that he is covered under the care home TV license. The house has remained unoccupied since my father was hospitalized last May and subsequently moved to the care home. Currently undergoing renovations, the house lacks TV equipment, an active phone line, computers, or any electronic devices. A recent letter indicates an investigation by the Enforcement Division, prompting me to submit a "No TV" application for the property. I am open to a visit to clarify the situation and will ensure a TV license is obtained when the property is occupied.

My niece, who has mental health issues, had a concerning experience with a man from the TV licensing company. Despite her lack of a TV aerial and only using a Virgin box for Netflix and DVDs, he entered her home, turned on the TV, and then charged her for not having a license. After numerous calls, I managed to obtain an exemption form for her. However, I strongly believe that the agent should not have entered her property when she was alone, especially after she requested him to come back when her social worker was present. I've been trying to reach the court in Leeds to address the fine and seek a refund for what she paid unfairly. I feel she was mistreated due to her condition and vulnerability.
Thank you,
J. Bodenham

My niece, who has mental health issues, had a troubling encounter with a man who came to her house unannounced. Despite her reluctance, he entered and fined her for not having a TV license due to not having an Ariel, as she only watched Netflix or DVDs through a Virgin box. I have managed to secure a letter of exemption for her license, but attempts to resolve the fine with the court have been unsuccessful. I feel she was unfairly targeted as a vulnerable person living alone and struggling with mental health. I am concerned about the treatment she received in this situation.
Thank you.

I have encountered multiple frustrations while attempting to renew my TV license. Despite cancelling the direct debit and attempting to renew via credit card, I received contradicting information and letters from the company. After various unsuccessful attempts to renew, I was given different reasons for the delays with each call to the Call Centre. The process was confusing and inefficient, with each representative providing conflicting information. Despite multiple efforts to set things right, including speaking to a representative before Easter and renewing through Barclaycard, I continue to receive threatening letters about prosecution due to the lack of a renewed license. The lack of clarity and consistency in the communication and actions of the staff has left me feeling aggravated and unsatisfied.

With a year remaining until my free over-75 TV license expires, I am looking to start making payments towards my upcoming paid license. I spoke with a TV license adviser who explained that setting up a payment plan in advance is not permitted as it could be considered fraudulent by TV Licensing. They advised me that I would need to wait until I owe over £[redacted] to establish a payment plan for any outstanding balance.
I am accustomed to paying my local Council Tax and electric bill in advance through installment payments that suit my financial situation. Being able to pay in advance would prevent me from facing a large bill that I might struggle to pay all at once. In the past, I recall being able to buy TV Savings Stamps in advance for similar reasons.
I believe many pensioners, including myself, will encounter the same issue. I hope this can be addressed promptly. Thank you - Nigel Howat

I purchased a holiday home in Largs, North Ayrshire in [redacted] that needed significant renovations. I informed TV License that the property was vacant with no TV, but I have been receiving numerous intimidating letters from Mr. Gordon Smith since then. In [redacted], I got a TV and a license, but the letters persisted. Trying to renew my license in March this year proved difficult online and at the Post Office due to postcode issues. I eventually paid over the phone, seeking confirmation via email, without success. Despite payment, the threatening letters demanding access to the house continue, causing immense stress for this pensioner. I have reached out multiple times with no resolution, worried about the property's security and feeling constantly harassed. Signed, Mrs. R E Hammond.
