My daughter used my computer to log into her Steam account, and now I can't access my accounts, generalrockz and generalrock65. Despite changing the passwords, I still can't sign in. Steam prompts me to verify my identity with Gotcha, which confirms I've done it correctly, but Steam insists I haven't. This recurring issue is frustrating, especially given Steam's paid services and lack of phone support. I feel stuck trying to resolve this problem on my own each time I log out of the program.

I recently downloaded the latest update over the weekend in September [redacted]. However, upon trying to play games, I realized that the chat boxes and friends list were blank, making it impossible to chat or see friends. I decided to uninstall Steam and reinstall it. Although my login credentials are correct, I'm not receiving any verification emails or texts. This is concerning as it's the second time this year that I may lose a significant investment in games on Steam. Previously, I fell victim to a phishing scam, resulting in the loss of my 11-year-old Steam account with around 30 games, including Vive titles. Despite reaching out, Steam never addressed the issue. I hope for a different outcome this time, as I don't plan on repurchasing games for the third time. I've been a loyal customer since [redacted] or [redacted], and I'm looking for support from Steam. Please reach me via email.

Hello, I am experiencing difficulty logging into my account and need assistance to regain access. I have had this account for many years, and my email and phone number are outdated. Previously, I did not need two-step verification as my computer was recognized, but without the current information, I cannot access my account even with my username and password. Can you help me retrieve access? I can provide all relevant details like username, password, old email, and payment information. Thank you, and I look forward to your response. Regards, Brian.

I gifted my significant other the game "PULSAR: Lost Colony" on August 18th, hoping to play it together in VR. Unfortunately, the game was unstable, crashing on her computer. The VR setup was disorienting, with the view positioned a foot in front of the player's face, making interaction impossible. On August 24th, with only 39 minutes of playtime on her end, I requested a refund for both copies. I overlooked that she needed to confirm the refund on her end. While my copy was refunded, the refund for the gift to my S.O. was denied, and I missed this notification in my secondary email. Upon discovering this on September 9th, I corrected it and tried to refund, but I was outside the 14-day deadline by one week. This CDN$ 28.99 feels wasted on a product we cannot use, and I am struggling to reach a real person at Steam for assistance, as I only receive automated responses that lead to closed tickets.

Around a week or two ago, my Steam account was stolen or hijacked. I didn't realize it initially when I suddenly got logged out. The strange thing is, I only noticed the issue about an hour ago when I attempted to uninstall a game. I discovered my username and password no longer worked, and the email associated with the account had been changed to an unfamiliar one (none of my emails start with the same letter as the new one). Regrettably, I exhausted all my attempts to prove ownership due to mistakes like misspellings or missing fields. I am unsure when I can try again. Since my card is linked to the account, despite no suspicious activities so far, I am anxious. I took measures by deactivating my card and updating my email password. For now, I have to wait, but my priority is to remove my card from the compromised account promptly.

On Steam, I recently cleared the cache and needed to log in again. Unfortunately, none of my usual passwords worked, likely due to Steam's password requirements. I requested a password reset via email, but encountered an issue with the Captcha verification repeatedly saying it was incorrect when I was sure it was right. Now, I'm locked out due to this technical glitch and unable to contact support for assistance. This is frustrating, especially since I have work soon and just wanted to unwind beforehand. I simply need to receive my username and password, unless I'm not allowed to input my email as the username. Initially, I tried using "Zulton" as my username, then resorted to my email address when that failed. To confirm my identity, I currently have around $15 in credit from returning Witcher 3. I hope this information helps! Thank you for your assistance! Jeff, a.k.a. Zulton or Zultonb, the original Zulton - admittedly, I'm on the older side! :)

I'm having trouble accessing my account as it keeps telling me my password is incorrect. I believe I have not changed it recently. Despite various attempts using the options like "Forgot my Password" and entering my email and verifying the CAPTCHA, I consistently receive an error message stating "Your response to the CAPTCHA appears to be invalid." I've tried different methods such as reloading the page, changing networks, and even using the mobile app to no avail. This issue is quite frustrating, and I cannot figure out the reason behind it. All I want to do is enjoy playing my games.

I have the Steam software installed on my gaming PC in my man-cave. The two-step verification is causing me frustration. I am unable to log in to Steam through the website despite having the software and access to games on the same PC. Additionally, I cannot log in from another computer due to this verification process. The system claims to be sending me the password via email, but it has been almost two days, and I have not received anything. I have added the required email addresses to my safe senders list and even checked the blocked senders list, but the emails are not there. Please disable this verification process and restore my access. Username: _combat_killer_

This is my fourth or fifth attempt to obtain a refund for Ark. The game becomes unplayable shortly after logging in, with freezes occurring when attempting to join a friend's server. Despite multiple reinstallations, the issue persists. I find myself waiting for freezes to resolve, force closing the game, only to encounter login issues and repeats of the freezing cycle. This frustrating experience has led me to consider purchasing BG3 on GoG instead due to dissatisfaction with the customer service and the persistent technical problems with Ark. I hope to receive the refund to my Steam wallet asap.

I bought two $[redacted] Steam cards at Walmart to send to my friend in Florida. Unfortunately, when she tried to redeem them, she received an error message saying the codes were already used. Here are the codes for the cards: OLTTW-M5MY4-RYCE9 and MW8R8-OR9TL-Q72V6. I believe someone used the codes before my friend could redeem them. I am now out $[redacted]. Is there any way to trace these codes or get a refund on my Walmart Credit Card? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. The recipient's name is initials.

I am seeking assistance regarding an incident in the GTA V server on Discord. Someone purportedly banned me on Steam for alleged theft and offered me a solution involving contacting a Discord user who claimed to be from Steam Support and selling me a Steam card. After purchasing the card, my login attempts failed, and I discovered my email on the Steam account had been changed without my consent. I believe my account has been compromised by this individual, and despite my efforts to regain access by resetting my password, Steam Support has not been responsive. My Steam username is xxjennixx3, and my name is Jenni. I request guidance on reclaiming my account. Thank you for your help.

There have been issues with the Ti10 BattlePass causing confusion among newcomers and experienced players alike. Many feel that Valve's customer service is lacking, as concerns are often dismissed without a satisfactory resolution. The main problems stem from a lack of clarity regarding the seasonal nature of chat wheel items and the abrupt ending of the event, leaving players feeling disappointed and unaware of certain conditions. The in-game interface fails to clearly indicate which items are seasonal, leading to frustration and a sense of being misled. Players are unable to recycle certain items or access features they paid for, further adding to their dissatisfaction. Transparency is key, and players are asking for better communication within the game itself, not just on the website. They are calling on Valve to improve clarity, ensure all items are clearly labeled, and maintain consistency in their offerings from year to year. Players want a better experience that matches the substantial investment many make in the BattlePass.

I am experiencing two issues with my Steam account. Firstly, when logging in with my current credentials, I can see my wallet balance and email address, but the library of games is missing. There is no option to access the library as the header does not display it. Secondly, about a month ago, when I logged in, only a few of my purchased games were visible, hinting at a potential connection to a previous login. Despite knowing only one set of login details, I am unable to access all my games. I have not made any changes to my browser, modem, router, or computer setup since my Steam account was last functioning properly. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide to help resolve these issues. Thank you.

I am really frustrated with my experience playing "Kingdom Come: Deliverance" and its DLC. While enjoying the game for about 11 hours, I encountered a game-breaking bug during the mission "Baptism by Fire." The bug turned enemies friendly, causing my allies to attack and fail the mission if they are killed. I am very disappointed with this issue and have requested a refund, but my request was denied. I would like to get a refund for my purchase.

My brother fell victim to a scam and lost access to his Steam account, which is now under the control of someone else. Here are the details: **steam: https:**steamcommunity.com*id*christen*discord: Christen Coomer Official*******He was tricked by someone on Discord who claimed to be falsely reported for illegal activities and said a Steam agent would lock the account. Following the scammer's instructions, my brother reset his password, provided verification codes, and eventually got locked out of his account. When asked to pay for a unique ID for further verification, my brother realized it was a scam and blocked the user. Unfortunately, he is still locked out of his account, risking losing hours of gaming progress. The profile picture on the account is currently a white alpaca wearing a top-hat. We seek assistance in recovering the account to prevent potential deletion of games. Despite our attempts to contact Steam Customer Service and report the scam, we fear the scammer might delete the account before action is taken.

Greetings, my Steam client recently signed me out of my account, and now the password isn't working for me to log back in. Despite attempting to reset it, a message indicates my email is invalid. Due to multiple attempts to reset without success, I'm locked out. Dismayed by the lack of accessible customer support, all the available options mandate logging in beforehand. I'm at a loss on how to rectify this situation, as all support channels necessitate a login.

Yesterday, when I turned on my PC, I received a message from my Steam client asking me to verify my identity. When I tried to log in again, I realized my password was incorrect. As I attempted to reset it, I discovered my account login name had changed, and the account appeared as if it was brand new with a different Steam ID. Surprisingly, I was able to sign in with the "new" account name after resetting the password. Despite seeing all my purchased games, I couldn't access my original account. I contacted Steam support, informing them that my account had been stolen. They requested proof of ownership, to which I provided a screenshot of a purchase from PayPal. After sending the screenshot, the support ticket was linked to my original account. However, to access the ticket, I need to log in with the stolen account, which is inaccessible.

I purchased a Steam card today for $25 and have the receipt. I created a new account and followed the instructions provided. Upon entering my information such as phone number, address, and email, I received an error message stating that my email account, address, and phone number could not be found. I then realized the card's value is only activated once registered. I am unsure if the Walmart employee activated the card. The number on the back of the card is PKHLV-H20XE-7WZCE. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hello, I hope this email reaches you in good health. I am Ahmad, a 38-year-old from Jordan, who recently lost my job due to COVID-19. In light of this, I have turned my focus towards content creation on YouTube, specifically related to CS:GO. I have been trading for a while and hosting giveaways to support my viewers. I am reaching out to address an issue with my main account that holds over $2,[redacted] worth of skins and games. On November 2nd, I received an alert that my account had been accessed by someone else. Despite checking login details and verifying my account, it was community banned to ensure my items' safety. I reached out to Steam support for assistance in recovering my account. They requested a CD key from [redacted], which I no longer have due to multiple relocations over the past 17 years. I have offered alternative methods to prove ownership, but have not received a satisfactory response. I am seeking advice on how to regain access to my account and also prevent similar incidents in the future, as this experience has left me hesitant to invest further in Steam. Any guidance on these matters would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Ahmad S.

When I opened Steam, I only saw the options for store, library, and community, but nothing would show under these tabs. Clicking on the library option did not display my library. After attempting to log out and back in, I found that I had forgotten my password. When I tried to reset it by clicking "I can't sign in..." and verifying I'm not a robot, I received an error message stating my response to the CAPTCHA was invalid. Despite multiple tries, I couldn't resolve it. I would appreciate it if this issue could be fixed or if you could email me my password. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
