I purchased Call of Duty Black Ops 2 approximately two days ago. Up to now, I have only participated in 2-3 matches. I am experiencing prolonged wait times to find a match due to the low player population. Additionally, I am encountering issues with my game controller not functioning properly within the game. The buttons do not map accurately compared to the console or sometimes do not respond at all. Although Steam indicates 11 hours of playtime, my actual gameplay comprises only 2-3 matches, which can be validated through the in-game statistics screen.

Dear Mr. Tyler,
I am writing to seek your assistance regarding the purchase of $[redacted] worth of gift cards. Unfortunately, I mistakenly bought one $[redacted] card instead of two separate $[redacted] cards. Despite my efforts, the store was unable to make the exchange due to issues with the website. My mom even spent almost two hours at the store trying to resolve the matter with the manager and district manager, to no avail. I urgently need your help to exchange the single card for two separate ones. It has been over 24 hours since I began this process, and any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated. If there is anything I can do to expedite the resolution, please advise. Thank you for your time and have a great day.

I recently canceled my subscription for Elder Scrolls Online Plus using PayPal. Subsequently, I neglected to cancel it through Steam on my computer. Upon logging back into Steam after a hiatus, I encountered an "Account Alert" that persists despite my attempts to dismiss it. I have tried clicking through the messages and checking the required box, but the "Close Window" button remains grayed out, preventing me from closing the notification. I seek assistance in resolving this issue so I can successfully close the window and stop the notification from appearing. Thank you for your help.

I'm having trouble accessing my Steam account. The Steam authenticator is asking for my password, which I can't recall. I've attempted the password sent via email without success. After trying to reset it again, I ended up locked out. I need to reset my password. My username is Nicneuron, and my previous password was GamesALLOver2019, but I'm unsure if it's correct. My email is [redacted] When attempting to reset the password, I'm informed that I can't request another reset while the previous one is still being reviewed.

After a long day at school, I hopped on my PC to play games and received a message on Steam from a stranger claiming to have accidentally reported my account, "I LOVE SAAB." They directed me to a person named "Ashneel," who supposedly was a moderator. I realized the initial message from the stranger was unsolicited and possibly a scam. The stranger accused me of having duplicated items in TF2 and persuaded me to trade them to a vague account. I began to suspect a scam when they requested my account email, sent a code, and had me share my username. They then instructed me to wait 40 days to log in. Alarmed, I created a new account to gather more information. A friend informed me that my account was being misused, and I took action. Now, I am seeking help from my teacher and working on reporting this issue to Steam support. It's been a distressing experience, and I hope for a resolution soon. Warm regards, Axel.

Hello, I'm Xander. I purchased a $[redacted] STEAM card from Walmart on 9/8/19 for my boyfriend's birthday today. I sent him the card details after scratching it off this morning at 7:30 am. However, he claims it was already redeemed and is unhappy. I'm embarrassed and need to know when the card was redeemed because I believe I did nothing wrong. I feel terrible that he and his friends are upset. How could someone redeem the code without scratching the card? I need assistance as soon as possible to replace the card because I want to make my boyfriend happy on his birthday. I'm heartbroken by this situation and hope to resolve it promptly.

I have been a long-time user of Steam with my son, Aiden J. Recently, he encountered issues with his account being hacked. Initially, we managed to recover it with the help of his father. Unfortunately, the same person targeted his account again and even took over his Gmail, making it challenging to regain access to our Steam account. Despite multiple attempts, I have been unsuccessful in accessing both accounts. Are there any solutions to recover the Steam account?

I recently purchased the Gears of War game and used it for about 6 hours. Unfortunately, a significant portion of this time was spent on setting up and loading the game menu and gameplay itself. I was quite disappointed with the game mechanics, leading me to desire a refund. Despite playing for more than the allowed 2 hours, most of my time was spent trying out a few online games to assess the multiplayer options and mechanics, which I didn't find enjoyable. The prolonged playtime was a result of continuous issues connecting Steam to my Xbox account and the extended loading times. I have yet to explore the campaign mode due to my limited playtime. Considering I've been a loyal customer who frequently buys your products, I kindly request a refund as the likelihood of me playing the game again is minimal. Your understanding and assistance in this matter are greatly appreciated, as it will influence my decision to continue purchasing your products in the future. Thank you.

I purchased a Steam Card at the Walmart Store in Hometown, PA this afternoon for $[redacted]. I have the receipt with the purchase amount, card number, date, and time. When my fiance scratched the back of the card, the pin numbers were revealed, but she received a message that the card had already been used. How could this happen if I bought the card new? I am requesting a refund or a new set of pin numbers. Additionally, I would like to know who activated the card and when it was done before my purchase. I have all the necessary information and hope to resolve this quickly. Thank you, Dave Antonelli.

Hello, I used to have an account on Steam. I recently deleted it because of certain reasons that made it no longer necessary to keep. Surprisingly, a friend mentioned that I contacted them on Steam even though my account was deleted. It seems like someone might have hacked into my old account and is posing as me. I am concerned about this situation and would like the hacker to be addressed and my old profile to be removed to prevent any further misuse.

Hello, I am a recent Steam customer. Last week, I requested a refund for Dayz since I downloaded it based on a friend's suggestion but did not enjoy it. I hoped to get the refund to purchase another game from Steam, but unfortunately, my request was denied twice due to exceeding the 2-hour playtime limit. I was occasionally AFK during the game, and I believe it would be reasonable for Steam to understand and assist customers who are not satisfied with a purchase. As a new customer, I expected some flexibility with the refund policy. I am questioning if Steam has ever made exceptions for refunds beyond the 2-hour limit. I simply want to exchange Dayz for a game I will actually like with the $48.

I recently fell victim to a scam involving my in-game items. A person on Steam messaged me with a fake account check claiming my items were at risk. I was directed to transfer items to a fraudulent trade account named ERRORFIXER. They then insisted I add funds to my Steam account for a purchase log check, but when I refused, they disappeared with my items. I'm lost as I don't have their account details. I'm only 14 and new to this situation.

I am having trouble accessing my Steam account, which I suspect has been hacked by an I.P address ending in RU, indicating it might be from Russia. This occurred about 30 minutes ago. I've reached out to Steam support through their website and Twitter, but have not received a response yet. I am worried as I have invested a significant amount of money in games.
The hacker has changed my email address from [redacted] to a new one that I am unaware of. My previous emails could be [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]
I kindly request assistance in recovering access to my account. Thank you, Jack Deakin (ThisandThatYT on Steam).

On August 26th, I made a payment of $30.00 through PayPal for a purchase, but the item was not received. I, as the parent of the account holder [redacted], opened a dispute on PayPal. The PayPal case closed on September 5th after not receiving a response from Valve, and a refund was issued. Unfortunately, my son does not check his emails regularly, resulting in his account being put on hold. Now that the PayPal case is closed and the item has been received and refunded, I kindly request a link to be sent to either my email [redacted] or the account holder's email so that I can make the payment directly to you, as PayPal is unable to process it. Thank you. Nancy St Cyr, parent of Kelby.

On Wednesday, September 18th, I noticed that my account had received a deposit of $[redacted], which was then used to buy games and coins for Rainbow Six Siege. I was puzzled as none of my family members were responsible, and it was strange that the games purchased were ones I had been planning to buy. By September 21st, the purchases were refunded, but my Steam account was unexpectedly banned from making purchases, gifting, or selling items until November 20th. I find this ban unfair since I had no knowledge or involvement in the unauthorized transactions. Only my sibling and I have access to my password. I hope to resolve this issue promptly as it has caused inconvenience. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am seeking a refund for a game, Conan Exiles, which constantly crashed after loading. They are refusing the refund because my game time exceeded 2 hours. Despite playing for only 10 minutes during a free weekend trial, I bought the game to benefit from a promotion. Post-purchase, loading times worsened due to various downloadable content packages. I have never faced an issue with refund policies before, having bought 97 games in the past. I enjoy collecting games, and I wanted to add this one to my collection if it had met my expectations and allowed me to play without crashing.
