I received a notification that my registration for tomorrow's Boston race has been canceled, which was unexpected. My bank alerted me about a suspicious purchase made through LifeTime Fitness due to my card being hacked. I reached out to the company that charged my credit card, and after discovering it was a gym in another state, my Discover card refunded the fraudulent purchase. Unfortunately, this charge was for my Spartan race registration, causing confusion.
My concerns are: Is the event sold out, and will I be able to re-register to participate with my team? I used a 30% off coupon and registered early to save money, will I still be able to avail of the same rate?
I am distressed about not being aware of the situation earlier and would appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue promptly. I have taken steps with Discover to rectify the fraudulent charges, though the process may take 5-7 business days. Any guidance on re-registering and securing my spot with my teammates would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your help.

I, Hawk Younkins, had signed up to race in Breckenridge, CO on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. However, due to a family tragedy in Ohio where my cousin sadly committed suicide, I left Colorado on Saturday. It has been a challenging time for my family and me. Even if I had been in Colorado on Sunday, I wouldn't have been in the right frame of mind to race. I am currently dealing with the aftermath of this tragic event.
Given the circumstances, I am inquiring about the possibility of receiving credit for my missed race to use for a future race in the Spartan Series. My registration number is [redacted]6.
Thank you for your assistance and understanding as I navigate through this difficult situation.

I recently contacted customer service in August to address an issue with my race registration. I was mistakenly signed up for Lebec instead of Tejon Ranch this weekend. I followed up with customer service, who assured me it was corrected, but my registration still reflects Lebec instead of Tejon Ranch.

I initially registered for the Austin Spartan Sprint in May, but it was cancelled due to weather. Spartan provided a deferral code for a future race. I signed up for the Dallas Spartan Sprint on Oct 28th but cannot participate due to a leg injury. Spartan suggested transferring my spot to a friend or deferring to a later event. However, the deferral code only shows a zero dollar credit instead of the $[redacted] I paid. When my friend tries to register with the code, we are asked to pay the full price again. I was not informed that multiple deferrals were not allowed, and the first one was not by choice. I just want to use the credit I paid to race again or let a friend take my place.

I am in urgent need of assistance regarding my medical records. I traveled to Greece to represent my country and have participated in several races. However, I have not received the necessary medical form for the upcoming race. I am the sole participant from my country, and I am eager to resolve this issue to fulfill this unique opportunity. I am willing to visit a local doctor or seek assistance from the Spartan medical staff to complete the required certification. Kindly advise on the necessary steps to ensure my participation in the event. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,

Hello,
I recently purchased the Valentine Super Pack for the upcoming race in Las Vegas. However, when I tried to register, the website indicated that my code is invalid. The offer expires tomorrow, so I need this matter resolved quickly.
In the past, we've experienced delays in resolving such issues, and I hope this can be sorted out promptly. The Valentine pack didn't specify any restrictions on locations, only mentioning elite races. If we can't use this pack for the Vegas event, it seems misleading based on the advertisement.
There are a total of six of us trying to register using this coupon for the same race. I won't purchase the other two coupons until this matter is addressed.
My email address is [redacted], and the code I used is VDSUPER-[redacted]-D3F1. Kindly respond promptly so our group can complete the sign-up process.

I have encountered several issues while attempting to sign up my team using a Groupon code. Ultimately, I decided to forgo using the Groupon altogether due to the numerous difficulties I faced. I've participated in races with your company previously without encountering such significant problems. Our team is scheduled to run at 9:15 am in the Tram GP event in Vegas, where my family members, who are active Spartans like myself, will be participating. Since I can't run with them during their designated time, I am seeking a solution to join them in their heat. Despite the challenges with the Groupon code and registration process, I hope to add just my son and myself to the 11 other members of my family who will be flying in to run together. I appreciate any assistance you can provide with this matter. Thank you for addressing my concerns.

Hello Spartan Team,
I am writing to inform you about a difficult situation regarding the upcoming race at Greek Peak on 3/8. Due to a series of personal tragedies within my close circle resulting in the need to attend multiple memorial services, I am unable to make it to the race. I am inquiring about the possibility of transferring our race passes to a later date this fall.
I understand the challenges this may present to your organization, but participating in Spartan races holds great significance for us. We are not seeking a refund, simply a chance to experience the event at a more suitable time.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
Meena

I signed up for the Atlanta Sprint on the night of 3-19-19, scheduled for the April 13th, [redacted] event, but somehow my wife's name appears on the registration instead of mine. The registration shows her name as Marlena Wynn with my age and birthdate. The confirmation email was sent to her email address, [redacted] Her name is Marlena Wynn with a birthdate of 6/17/[redacted], making her 38 years old. However, she does not participate in Spartan races. It should have my name, Chris Wynn, and the receipt should go to my email, [redacted] Our team name is FIRENTHEBELLY. I kindly request that this error be corrected. Thank you for your help. Chris Wynn

I used a Groupon for a recent race in San Antonio last weekend but had to defer due to a family death. I've successfully transferred other race registrations, except for the Super event I used the Groupon for. Despite paying the $35 deferral fee, I didn't receive credit for another race, resulting in losing both the Groupon and the $35 due to uncontrollable circumstances.
I would like the $35 deferral fee to be applied to a future race or have the equivalent amount of the Groupon credited. The message I received after deferral stated the details, including the deferral code, eligible races, and receipt breakdown. I hope to resolve this issue and appreciate your assistance.

Hello,
I arrived at the Big Bear summit for the scheduled Beast event today, May 19, [redacted], at 7 am, only to discover that it had been canceled without prior notice due to severe weather conditions. I had been training for months for this race, and the lack of communication and compensation offered is disheartening. The options provided, to run the sprint with no refund or deferment code or to wait for an email with a deferment code, do not adequately address the inconvenience and expenses incurred for this event. I had to take time off work, arrange for childcare, travel for hours, and purchase gear specifically for this race. A more considerate solution would have been to allow participants to run the sprint and receive a deferment code for a future event. I am disappointed in the customer service provided by SPARTAN in this situation.
Unsatisfied,
S. Sanchez

My spouse bought the Valentine's Day special without realizing it had an expiration date as it wasn't specified on the voucher. We've been in touch with customer service via email, but they claim they can't assist. I'm requesting a credit for the amount paid to use towards the June 15th Tuxedo Park race as the available slots are limited to afternoon times. Due to family commitments, we can only do morning races, especially on Father's Day. It's frustrating to see lack of support for paying customers, especially considering previous positive experiences with Spartan. It seems more enticing to purchase discounted races on platforms like Groupon. I hope for a solution offering a morning slot of any time and the value as credit instead of the specific promo purchased. Thank you.

My husband is frustrated because he has sent three emails but received no response regarding the race cancellation. He was at his 8th mile during the Super when it was called off. Despite waiting for 45 minutes in dangerous rain and lightning for the bus to the parking lot, no assistance was provided. Being a retired state trooper who trained for three years, this experience has greatly disappointed him as it affects his passion for Spartan races. He even recruited three others to join. His attempts to obtain a code for another race went unanswered. We have invested a significant amount of money and time in these events. I believe it is only fair for him to receive a medal to acknowledge his efforts, irrespective of the event statistics. A prompt response addressing this situation is expected and necessary.

During the recent Super race in Chicago, weather concerns caused an evacuation just half a mile from the finish. We were assured that proceeding would result in no medal or shirt. Despite following instructions and waiting outside for 40 minutes, we were not allowed to finish. We walked the remaining course, missing only 2 obstacles, but still were not permitted to complete it. The Spartan FAQ states that race entry includes a headband and shirt, with the medal earned upon finishing. Emails offered options for those with an afternoon start, including a free Sprint the following day. Our timing chips confirm we were near the end, having passed significant obstacles. Unable to participate in another event due to prior commitments, we feel we should not have to run another race to receive our hard-earned awards. Consequently, I am seeking either a complimentary entry or a refund for the Wrigley Field Spartan race, as assurance of receiving the earned rewards was not met. Having participated in multiple races, I find this situation unacceptable and am hesitant to engage in future events until this is resolved satisfactorily.

I reside on the street adjacent to Toro Regional Park. Over the past few years, people have persistently tried to park near the park entrance and foolishly along the retaining wall, which is clearly marked as a 'No Parking' area. I believe a parking attendant should be stationed on our street to prevent this issue. Contacting the sheriff to tow vehicles parked illegally may be necessary during the next event. It is crucial to improve the parking situation to prevent any hindrance to emergency vehicles that may need access to 117th Drive in Salinas. A more efficient parking committee is essential for future events.

Hello,
I am Rachel C. and I participated in the Washington DC Spartan Sprint on June 29th. During the event, there was a weather delay due to lightning in the area. Volunteers instructed us to wait in our cars until the course reopened. Despite following updates on the Spartan Twitter page, there was confusion about when the race would resume. I was informed that the race had restarted 20 minutes prior to my return. Workers advised me to return the next day, but registration later denied this option. I am disappointed by the handling of the situation and would like a refund as there are no upcoming races near me.
Thank you,
Rachel C.

During the Kids Spartan Race in Maryland, the woman handling instructions used a microphone for adults but not for the racers, leading to communication issues. My child faced challenges during the race, and although she initially seemed discouraged, I stepped in to motivate him to finish. The staffer appeared impatient and did not show much encouragement. Despite the difficulty, my child managed to finish, feeling hesitant due to his struggles. I cheered for him as he crossed the finish line, but the staff member did not acknowledge his achievement. It's vital for kids to build self-esteem by overcoming obstacles. Supporting those who struggle and succeed is essential in fostering inclusivity in fitness events like the Spartan race. I was disappointed by the conduct of the staff member overseeing the children. This took place in Mechanicsville, Maryland, during the Sunday 12:00 pm kids' race.

Request for Refund for Spectator Pass at Aspen/Snowmass Spartan Race:
I attended the Aspen/Snowmass, CO Spartan race as a spectator from Pittsburgh, PA. Upon purchasing two spectator passes for $40, I was disappointed to find out that access to the village was free and unchecked. The lack of verification and the limited viewing options made me feel like I wasted my money. Despite the unique course setup, I had hoped for better access to viewing areas and clearer information from volunteers on participant tracking.
I have participated in many races and events, and this experience was disorganized. My main goal was to support my friend, and I barely saw her finish. Therefore, I respectfully request a refund of $44.20 for the unnecessary pass purchase. I have the email receipt from Athlinks as proof of purchase. Thank you for addressing this promptly.
Best regards,
Danielle

Good afternoon,
I registered for the Spartan Race in Jersey Sprint on 11.3.19 for the afternoon session, with Race ID [redacted] and registration number [redacted]3. In addition to my own race slot, I also purchased 14 prepaid slots for others to join.
However, when I sent out the email for the 14 members to sign up under my team, they are being charged approximately $25 each. I believed the total sum of $[redacted].71 was supposed to cover all 15 racers (myself and the other 14).
Furthermore, when I shared a registration link with three friends to join and one friend used a coupon during her first Spartan Race registration, she ended up paying $30 after the discount. Unfortunately, when she signed up using my team details, she replaced one of the 14 prepaid slots rather than being added as an additional team member.
I would appreciate clarification on why the additional charges are being applied to my team members after I already paid for everything, and assistance with resolving the issue of the last member taking a slot instead of adding to the prepaid total.

Dear Spartan Team,
I am reaching out regarding my sons, Erik B. and Ryan B., who recently completed the Spartan Beast at Olympic Village. Despite challenging weather conditions, they had an unforgettable experience. Erik has contacted the helpline as both him and Ryan are hoping to reschedule their upcoming Sprint race in Sacramento to a 9:00 am start time due to a prior family commitment later in the day. Our family has been taking care of my ailing father-in-law at his home for the past 8 months until his recent passing on 10/16. Erik and Ryan went above and beyond in providing constant care including administering medical treatments, changing diapers, tending to wounds, and offering companionship to both my father-in-law and his elderly wife. Their dedication allowed my in-laws to stay at home as long as they desired which was a great comfort to them both. This year, their goal is to complete a trifecta by finishing the remaining Sprint race. Unfortunately, the races in WA and Southern CA are not feasible options due to distance and cost. Erik and Ryan work hard to finance their races independently. I kindly request your assistance in enabling Erik, Ryan, and their friend Krista to accomplish their trifecta this year. I believe their selfless actions while caring for their grandparents exemplify the true spirit of a Spartan. Thank you for considering their request.
Sincerely, Anne B.
