Hello, I made a car reservation for 30/04 - 04/05 at Edinburgh Airport through a third party, Carjet, with reference number CJT [redacted]3. Upon arrival, I discovered that the computer system was down, requiring manual processing. The issue arose when I tried to pay the £[redacted] deposit. A security system clash between my bank and Sixt prevented me from completing the transaction. Despite spending 35 minutes on the phone with my bank, the payment couldn't be processed, leaving me without a car during the bank holiday weekend. I've attempted to contact Carjet four times, speaking to them twice before being disconnected. They assured me they would reach out to Sixt to verify my situation. Despite sending four emails, I have yet to receive a response. I'm unsure whether Carjet or Sixt currently holds my £[redacted].31. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, David C.

I'm frustrated about my recent experience with SIXT car rental in Orlando. I planned a family vacation with visits to the parks but had trouble with the car not starting. Despite hiring roadside assistance and multiple attempts to jump the battery, the issue persists after three days. No replacement car was provided, leaving me reliant on expensive Uber and taxis to get around. This is unacceptable given the high cost of the rental and the inconvenience caused. 1) I made a prepaid reservation for an SUV, but upon pickup, only a minivan was available at almost double the rate. I was informed that I couldn't change the reservation duration as it was prepaid. I feel this was a bait and switch tactic as I had no other options. I believe the original price of around $[redacted] should have been honored instead of the $[redacted] charged. My rental agreement number is [redacted]. 2) The minivan I received had windshield damage including a rock chip and a long crack about 12 inches long, which I photographed before leaving the rental lot. This damage should have been noted by the staff. I want to ensure I am not charged for this damage. Although there is no customer service email provided, I have the pictures to document the condition.

On Saturday, September 3rd, SIXT failed to honor our prepaid rental agreement (rental number [redacted]), leaving us stranded 3,[redacted] miles from home and ruining our vacation. The SIXT employee blamed a problem with the app, though it was with the SIXT App, not mine. We were directed to contact customer service on Tuesday, September 6th, due to the holiday. This situation greatly impacted our vacation due to SIXT's deceptive actions, which are against California law. Our rental agreement at San Francisco Airport from September 3rd to 7th (rental number [redacted]) for $[redacted].97 was not honored. After following instructions in an email to avoid the counter and pick our own car, I uploaded required documents successfully. However, upon arrival at SFO SIXT counter, we faced a lengthy wait. The original agreement for a 5 Series BMW for $[redacted].97 was not honored, resulting in a forced purchase of a similar car for $[redacted].32 (rental agreement number [redacted]), a difference of $[redacted].35. Deceptive advertising is illegal in California (California Business and Professions Code § [redacted]), and SIXT's actions have left us dissatisfied. Despite being impressed with SIXT's technology initially, this experience has tarnished our view. We hope SIXT will rectify the situation promptly by refunding the difference of $[redacted].35. We had a rental scheduled to be returned on November 6th at Orlando International Airport, but due to flight changes, we had to fly out of Miami, FL instead. When we contacted Sixt customer service, they mentioned that Miami locations wouldn't accept our rental. We need help with scheduling a pick-up for the rental, but we haven't received guidance on how to proceed. Additionally, they plan to charge us for the extra time the car is not returned. I find it concerning that they wouldn't allow drop-off at a different location and find it unfair to be charged for delays caused by this refusal. I am looking for advice on this situation. Rental Confirmation: [redacted] I rented a car in Nicaragua and upon returning it, they charged $[redacted] Canadian to my Visa instead of just placing a hold. It’s been eight weeks, and the general manager of SIXT in Nicaragua, Mr. H.T., has been in touch but hasn’t resolved the issue. Despite sending all documentation to customer service in the USA and [redacted], I haven’t received any help. Customer service keeps directing me back to Mr. H.T. who promised to return the money but hasn’t. When calling 1-[redacted], there is no assistance or escalation available. I feel unsupported and there is no accountability for this error. I would appreciate a call at [redacted] or email assistance.

Last night, I made a reservation for 9 am today, 11/28. Unfortunately, I was delayed by traffic and arrived 30 minutes late. The representative asked for a utility bill instead of the bill I brought, leading me to spend 2 hours on the phone to access my online account. After 3 hours, I finally provided the information requested, only to be told that there were no standard cars available, although I had reserved one, not a compact car. The representative's unprofessional and disrespectful behavior was unacceptable. Despite waiting for 3 hours, I was brushed off due to a diamond member who was not supposed to drop off a car at that location. My work shift was missed, and I was left frustrated by the situation. Despite my lost day of work, I won't be receiving a refund, making this my first and last time renting from this company.

I have been trying to request a refund from Sixt for my car rental since December 5th via email as instructed, but I have made no progress. My boyfriend suffered a heart attack and had to undergo open heart surgery, leaving me as his sole caregiver and unable to travel. Despite sending six emails and providing proof of his medical situation as requested, I was initially told to cancel online (which I couldn't do due to being blocked) and am now back to square one. Dealing with their customer service has been incredibly frustrating, and the incompetence of their employees has left me extremely disappointed. I will definitely not be using this company again.

My SIXT number is [redacted]9. I'd like to rent an Audi Q7 or Q8 (diesel) in Munich on April 16, [redacted], returning it in Vienna on April 22, [redacted]. I am looking for the closest Sixt office to Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski in Munich and the closest one to Palais Hansen Kempinski in Vienna. I am willing to pay an additional fee to ensure I get the Audi Q7 or Q8 (diesel) as I have previously rented these models in Sicily in September [redacted] and France in October [redacted], with good experiences. I had a terrible experience with Sixt in Faro, Portugal. After I paid for my reservation in advance, they tried to charge my card again months later. They also sent a fake toll road bill, despite us already paying for the toll tag. I am questioning the legitimacy of any invoice from them. Numerous negative reviews on Trustpilot and TripAdvisor back up my concerns. It seems like this company is engaging in fraudulent billing practices and cannot be trusted.

I rented a car from Sixt Miami Airport on November 15, [redacted], and returned it on December 15, [redacted]. I discovered an unauthorized withdrawal of $[redacted] from my credit card on December 14, [redacted]. Despite contacting Sixt's Longterm Rental customer service multiple times, I have not received any response. It seems that someone at Sixt Miami Airport may have committed fraud by taking money from my credit card. This is a serious matter that needs to be investigated by the company. I rented a SIXT car at LAX airport on February 10, [redacted]. I inspected the vehicle and noted visible damage on the Sixt app during contract acceptance. I took photos of the damage and submitted them to Sixt before accepting the vehicle. When I returned the car on February 13, the agent claimed the damage was never reported, despite looking at the photos I submitted prior to accepting the vehicle. I received an email on February 14 stating that I am responsible for the damage. I have photographic and video evidence of the pre-acceptance inspection, along with recorded statements from an employee describing the damage. Despite my efforts to contact SIXT's claims department, I have been unable to reach anyone after long wait times. The regular customer service was unhelpful, directing me back to the claims department. Due to similar complaints about SIXT, I intend to report this to various consumer protection agencies and pursue compensation for the alleged misconduct.

This morning, I collected my car from the Freiburg Main Station. Upon arrival, the employee mentioned that I was required to purchase the low protection insurance to proceed with the rental. I felt compelled to buy it, although I was not previously informed about this additional cost. I initially chose your company due to competitive pricing, but I was surprised to find it more expensive than Hertz. If this matter is not resolved satisfactorily, I will be forced to return to Hertz for my future rentals. I am disappointed with this situation, as I had to pay over 90 euros extra for a mere three days. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.

While renting a car from the SIXT counter at the Orlando airport, I was offered an upgrade by the staff which they priced at $[redacted]. However, when I received the bill, it was for $[redacted].93, including a charge of $35.97 for gas. I believe this gas charge is unfair as I filled the tank before returning the car and only traveled a short distance. I am requesting a reduction of $53.93 to match the original quoted price. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will dispute the bill with Barclay's. I have had a similar experience with Fox car rental in the past and received a quick refund for an overcharge. In the future, I will ask for a signed document to avoid such discrepancies. I value transparency and fairness in transactions, especially during my vacation. Thank you.

I rented a BMW from the iDrive branch in Orlando. After reviewing the invoice, I noticed I was charged $[redacted] for three days, even though the car was advertised at less than $80.00 a day. I had actually requested a [redacted] Mercedes, but upon arrival, I was given a BMW without prior notice of the price difference. This kind of business practice is disappointing. I attempted to rent a car in Romania through SIXT.COM, providing my debit card details, but the transaction did not go through. I ended up renting from another company for the next day. Later, I discovered that SIXT had actually charged my card without sending any confirmation. When I called, they said there was no reservation under my name and advised me to contact my bank. I want to address some issues regarding charges for damage repair and handling fees at the Sixt Lisbon Airport location. Upon car pickup, we requested a clear definition of existing damage and were told that only scratches or bumps longer than a specified length would count. While pointing out all damages, the agent refused to document any smaller scratches and dings. He provided a tool to measure damages, but only recorded those exceeding its length, excluding minor damages. Returning the car, we were informed of a small windshield ding which we were told exceeded the allowed size, despite previous instruction to overlook such damages. Despite emailing customer service at [redacted] to dispute the charges, we received no response. We seek assistance in escalating this complaint to the global Sixt customer service department and requesting a refund for the unjust charges incurred. Thank you.
