On the 19th of June [redacted], I conducted a money transfer via Shoprite Money Market to the Shoprite branch in Mafeteng town, Lesotho, for my sister-in-law to collect using the provided transaction details. Unfortunately, during the process, the system went offline. Once it resumed, the money seemed to be stuck in limbo, requiring the branch manager or a senior staff member to log the incident with the Help Desk. Despite assurances from the branch manager, no resolution has been reached yet. The Money Market transaction number is ML [redacted][redacted]. You can reach me at [redacted]. My name is Elphus Mokoena.

Hello, my name is Catherine. I wanted to share my recent experience at the Glenolden ShopRite on MacDade Blvd regarding the customer service at the deli. Despite being the only customer waiting, the staff members at the deli were engrossed in a personal conversation and ignored me for about 10 minutes. Even when another staff member appeared, it took a while for them to assist me, while attending to someone who arrived after me. This made me quite upset as all I needed was a pound of cheese. Having worked in customer service for over 30 years, I believe these two employees need to improve their service skills. I hope ShopRite can address this issue to ensure a better experience for all customers in the future.

I visited your Franklin, NJ store on 1/16/19 to purchase groceries. However, my card was declining, so I informed the staff I would get my checks. Upon my return, I found my groceries had been put away, yet I was still charged. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue, I have not received a refund. As a loyal customer, this has been very disappointing. I have requested a refund, but it has not been processed. If my refund is not provided by tomorrow, I will be forced to take legal action. I have tried to resolve this matter amicably without success. Kathleen Carlson.

I frequent the ShopRite in Mt. Laurel, NJ, and recently attempted to use their online shopping pickup service. Despite spending thirty minutes filling my cart, the website encountered an error and emptied it. This issue wasn't due to our internet, as my husband's browsing was unaffected. As a busy mom, relying on grocery pickup services is essential for me. Unfortunately, due to these recurring website problems, I am considering discontinuing using ShopRite's service. Even when orders were successful in the past, they have arrived incorrect and required additional effort to rectify at home. I am truly disappointed by these experiences.

I will no longer be your customer if this matter is not resolved. I am shocked and upset by how the issue was handled. Today, January 7th, my husband visited the Riverhead, NY store to return a gallon of milk that went bad before the expiration date, a box of puff pastry that was stuck together and unusable, and 2 cans of Rotel tomatoes that had a strange smell. Despite having receipts, the manager was rude, abrupt, and refused to accept the items. My husband would have preferred to exchange them for fresh items, but she wouldn't assist him. I am deeply disappointed by the poor treatment of a loyal customer. Any other local supermarket would have offered a refund or exchange. It is distressing that my elderly 80-year-old husband, who has a heart condition, was subjected to such mistreatment. Shoprite should improve their staff training in customer service. I await your response. Thank you for addressing this issue.

I purchased a package of ShopRite thick-sliced bacon on 1/31/20. Despite the package stating the product is best if purchased by the date stamped at the end, I couldn't find a date anywhere on the packaging. When I contacted the Silver Spring ShopRite at [redacted] yesterday at 7:20 pm, the staff member I spoke with refused to listen to my concerns and hung up on me, providing very poor and rude customer service. The absence of a date on the refrigerated food packaging is concerning and violates food safety regulations. I believe the authorities should be aware of this issue. Additionally, I purchased a 5lb bag of apples that were not as delicious as advertised; they were extremely hard. I would like a refund for both items. I regret not choosing to shop at Giant, which is closer and offers better customer service, allowing returns and refunds. ShopRite needs to improve their staff training to provide better service and ensure food quality. There are Safeway, Giant, and Aldi stores in the area, offering alternatives with superior service and product quality.

I wanted to give a shout-out to an amazing employee at the Vails Gate Shoprite, James Coleman. Despite some difficulties reaching the Customer Care Center at 1-[redacted] Shoprite, I really felt the need to share my positive experience. James was incredibly kind and even wished my 99-year-old mom a happy birthday. He's been with Shoprite since he was 17 and truly made a difference in my shopping trip. While my attempts to call Customer Care were not successful, I hope this message finds its way to the right people at Shoprite to appreciate James and remind everyone that good news is important too.

I am pleased with the service at Shoprite. The store is consistently clean, and the staff are attentive and respectful. However, there is an issue when it comes to transporting our groceries from the store to the taxi rank. The individuals who used to assist with Shoprite trolleys are no longer allowed to do so, as they are concerned about the trolleys going missing at the taxi rank. This poses a challenge for customers who rely on taxis. I wonder how people who use taxis are expected to transport the trolleys, as I doubt taxi drivers would permit them in their vehicles. It seems unfair that only those with cars have the convenience to take the trolleys to their vehicles. I believe this situation should be reassessed. Customers who rely on taxis face difficulties without this assistance. I hope this concern is addressed to enhance the overall shopping experience at Shoprite. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, Portia.

I am seeking a meeting with Mr. Brown or a representative from Shop Rite near the Fox Street store. We would like to explore ways for the store to support our group of gardeners at 20th & Tioga Streets, [redacted], as we design a Community garden/Park. While we do not have stewardship or title to the land yet, we are collaborating with the Neighborhood Garden Trust, volunteers from Cristo Rey High School, and local volunteers. We need external ideas to present to City Council about the benefits of this project for our neighborhood. A potential suggestion is hosting a weekend outdoor market sponsored by Shop Rite. We believe a partnership with Shop Rite could benefit both parties as we work towards obtaining permission to utilize the land fully. Our goal is to garner support to demonstrate the positive impact this garden will have on the community. We have been dedicated to this project for over 6 years and have the backing of the Knight Foundation and LISC group pending land ownership. We appreciate any assistance Shop Rite can provide as we strive to enhance the area. Sister Mary Catherine Manley, SSJ.

I am employed at Shoprite of Palisades Park, store number [redacted]. Lately, there have been issues at the store involving two of the front-end managers, Brittany and Steve. I believe it is necessary to address these concerns. Brittany, who started working in October [redacted], has faced criticism for her scheduling decisions which have left many employees discontent. Additionally, her attitude during interactions has been a cause for concern. Observations show she spends a significant amount of time on personal calls during work hours. On the other hand, Steve, though friendly, has been noted for his lack of productivity, often engaging in gossip and negative conversations. I am requesting a replacement for the front-end manager position who possesses qualities of kindness, diligence, and a genuine commitment to their role. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Stephanie M. I recently visited the Galloway Shoprite and had a frustrating experience at the deli this morning. I wanted a roast beef wrap for my husband, but they were not prepared, so I asked Janice if I could place an order. She initially ignored me, then responded rudely when I asked again. Despite her unhelpful attitude, I persisted. Although the wrap wasn't ready when I returned after shopping, she eventually finished it. However, I was left concerned about hygiene practices. I am disappointed by the service I received and felt the need to share my experience. Thank you.

I had an issue at the Ellenville Shoprite yesterday. Earlier this week, I ordered 7 2lb. lobsters, ensuring they were on sale for $9.99/lb. However, I was charged $11.99/lb. The seafood representative confirmed the sale price, but the courtesy desk initially couldn't refund me without a digital coupon. They claimed it was two separate orders, yet it was one order packed in two bags. Rather frustrated, I caused a scene at the desk after being there for over 15 minutes. They eventually refunded and recharged me at $10.99/lb instead of the advertised $9.99/lb. I still have the receipts to prove it. The experience was embarrassing, especially in front of my father, who questioned why I shop there.

I recently bought Customer Interface Unit amounts from Checkers at Windermere Centre in Durban. On my purchase receipt, it mentions "Included Free Units," but I have never received any free units, unlike my friends. I'm 87 years old and receive the SASSA Old Age Pension. When I inquired at the Checkers Windermere Centre branch, they couldn't explain how the discount was applied, so I am seeking clarification here. Thank you.

I visited the Somers Point Shoprite today to return three products I had purchased through home shopping. I wanted to return one incorrect item and two that I ordered mistakenly. While they agreed to process the return, it took over 40 minutes, with no one updating me. Eventually, another employee stepped in and promised to handle the refund later. However, after waiting, I was informed that they had misplaced the receipt from my previous day's purchase. Despite my requests, they were unable to provide any form of receipt for the return or proof. When I asked for a manager, they mentioned they were busy but eventually managed to provide a receipt. Unfortunately, they still couldn't offer any proof of the return process. Feeling frustrated, I approached the store manager, who was unhelpful. I was even given a corporate number to call. I found the behavior of some staff members, like Amanda, behind the customer service counter, to be unprofessional and inappropriate. I expect a refund for the $30 worth of products, and I believe the store should address their customer service practices and provide customers with proper documentation for returns in the future.

I am a regular shopper at ShopRite in Brodheadsville, PA. Last week, on 8/5/21, I bought ADVIL expecting to use a $3.00 digital coupon from the circular. However, the discount was not applied. I brought this up at the courtesy desk on my next visit on 8/11/21. Despite explaining the situation, I was informed I should have returned the same week as the offer. This seemed unreasonable considering the distance I have to drive. I opted to wait until my next shopping trip to address it. The lack of assistance from the two staff members at the courtesy counter was disappointing and left me feeling frustrated with ShopRite.

I visited ShopRite in Bernardsville, NJ at 93 Morristown RD today. I was informed that they will no longer offer paper bags due to a Corporate decision. This change is concerning as our area does not recycle plastic bags, but we have always relied on paper and plastic bags from the store for recycling garbage. Using paper and plastic bags also makes packing and carrying items easier as they hold more and have a sturdier base, preventing sliding in the car. Spending extra on plastic bags doesn't seem practical. I urge ShopRite to consider customer feedback, especially from seniors, and reconsider their decision to bring back paper bags. Thank you.

I have used the Pick Up service at Shoprite stores twice in the last week: once at Somers Point store and today at Hammonton Store on White Horse Pike, NJ. On both occasions, I was told that food EBT_SNAP eligible items would be paid for immediately with the EBT Card. I provided my EBT card number and a Visa card for non-EBT items. However, when I also included non-food essential items to test the process, I was billed for all items to my Visa card, even though I have over $[redacted] in EBT balance. This did not happen when I used Walmart's service, where the amount covered by EBT-SNAP is clearly shown and paid for. Walmart only asks for a four-digit code for the card and does not require ID verification online. Unfortunately, I will no longer be using Shop Rite, which I have always relied on. Thank you.

I have a query regarding a recent customer service experience at the Shoprite on Ernston Road in Parlin, NJ. This morning around 7:30 on Sunday, 10/24, when I approached the tobacco area, I encountered two employees engaged in a conversation in Spanish. Despite waiting with social distancing in mind, they did not attend to me when I tried to ask a question. I wonder if there have been any changes to customer service procedures at Shoprite. It might be helpful for the store manager to review the security footage to understand what happened.

I've spent three hours attempting to pay for a $[redacted] order for pickup from Hatfield, PA. In the past, I've paid at pickup due to the difficulties with your system. Today, I regretted placing my order after discovering the payment options had changed. Except for EBT payments, none of my attempts were successful. Despite trying credit cards, I was confused as they kept requesting a pin number. I then attempted my debit card, but that also failed. After struggling with your computer system for the past two years, I have reached my limit. Navigating it has become nearly impossible. Joyce B.

I am curious to know if multiple phone numbers can be associated with a ShopRite account. My mother recently discovered that her free turkey had been redeemed by someone in another city. This person claims they used their personal number for the transaction but were informed by a cashier that their number was linked to my mother's account along with her own. Could this be true?
