I submitted a request but I am unsure if it was sent to the correct place. I would like to cancel my subscription, which is $8.99 per month. Unfortunately, I cannot locate the original receipt, and I believe I did not make the purchase through iTunes. You can reach me at [redacted] or [redacted]. Thank you, Patti.

I have been a member of scribd.com for several years. I consistently use the same username and password. Recently, when I try to log in, I am prompted to verify my account through an email sent to my original email address, which has been deleted due to inactivity. I tried to create a new email account with the same address, but the email service is not currently accepting new users. I am confident that I am entering the correct password for my scribd.com account. Is there a way for me to access my account without relying on the verification email at this time?

To whom it may concern, I recently discovered a PDF document named "Underground Secrets to Faster Running" by Ben Ross on September 20, [redacted]. I accessed this document for a brief review through SCRIBD, which led me to a 30-day free trial offer. Despite not being interested in any subscriptions, I saved the PDF by emailing it to myself to retain the information and possibly purchase a hard copy later. Upon checking my email for the saved content, I unexpectedly found that SCRIBD had automatically downloaded the PDF to my iPhone without my consent. Subsequently, SCRIBD Inc. debited my checking account twice, once on October 7, [redacted], and again on November 4, [redacted], for a total of $24.48, more than the paperback's price. I did not authorize these transactions nor did I agree to any terms and conditions. Due to the inconvenience of reading the document on a small screen, I would like these unauthorized charges to cease immediately. Your prompt resolution and assistance in refunding the total amount deducted would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Mark I. K.

I wanted to share my experience with Gethuman.com. They are a platform used by Scribd for feedback. Please spread the word on all your social media platforms. Negative publicity benefits them, as you unknowingly disclose personal information without a solution. Let's remain calm and send positive vibes. Scribd, please stop charging me without consent. I never agreed to any terms or provided my financial details willingly. Kindly resolve this and refund my money promptly. Thank you!

I used this account (Link: Dropbox) on my iPhone app to renew, but then realized I renewed the wrong account. I signed out, created a new account for myself, and made a payment using the app. The new account is under [redacted], and I believe I have 30 free days. However, I noticed I might end up paying for two different accounts when I only want to pay for one, which is [redacted] The account I do not want to pay for is [redacted] Can someone please help me resolve this issue? Thank you.

For the past two months, I have noticed charges on my account for Scribd even after canceling my subscription during the 30-day trial. I have attempted to contact Scribd using the number provided on their website, but unfortunately, the number seems to be inactive. I am seeking assistance to confirm the closure of my account and request a refund for the unused two months of service.

I canceled in November and was surprised to see another $8.99 deducted from my bank account today! It might not seem like a lot, but on a tight budget, especially during the holidays, every penny counts. With more bills coming out, this deduction could lead to overdraft fees. Kindly refund my money and avoid any future charges. Thank you.

I have already cancelled my Scribd membership a few months ago and have requested several times to cease accessing my account and charging me for services I am no longer using. Despite canceling my membership correctly and being unable to log in, I am seeking a refund for the past few months. Since my initial request in October has gone unanswered by Scribd's support team, I am frustrated. I expect that a cancelled membership would prevent any further charges or access to my account. Each time I ask for a refund and request that my account be left alone, I do not receive any responses. I am considering changing my bank card to prevent unauthorized access, which seems excessive and unprofessional from Scribd's side. I hope to hear from Scribd's support soon regarding my refund and to ensure that my cancelled account is not charged further. Thank you for your attention and assistance.

I was a previous member who canceled my subscription with Scribd. However, I have been continuously charged $9.99 per month even though I no longer have an active account. Despite reaching out for a refund for the past three months, the charges persist. Recently, I initiated an investigation with PayPal, but unfortunately, the payment was still processed through my debit card, resulting in another charge yesterday. This recurring unauthorized billing has caused me frustration. I demand that these charges cease immediately, and I expect Scribd to refund the unauthorized payments and stop any further attempts to collect on a closed account. If the issue persists, I will escalate the matter to my credit union, who will involve Visa after 30 days. Dealing with this situation monthly has become unbearable, and I urge Scribd to resolve this matter promptly.

I submitted a refund request at 1:00 right after the charge was made. I haven't received any response yet. The situation is clear to me now. I keep some of the information on one of my desktops for my girlfriend's convenience. When I picked up my son for the weekend, he confessed that he signed up for the service. Neither I nor he have any use for it unless he wants to subscribe on his own. I have a home library/study room, and I have no intention of using this service. Kindly process the refund for me. Please reach out to me at Nick Johnson [redacted] Just to clarify, my son used my old email account, which I am in the process of transitioning from. He used the Gmail account.

I am having difficulty making my monthly payment as none of my debit cards or PayPal are being accepted. They mentioned some unusual activity and have blocked my account for over a week now. Consequently, I received a cancellation notice due to non-payment. Despite receiving an email regarding the issue three days ago, the request to verify my identity with the debit card has not resolved the matter. I even tried using the same card on a new account, but I prefer to access my old account with all my important documents. It is frustrating seeing others charged wrongly while I am struggling to pay a mere $8 monthly fee.

Hello, I would like to address an issue I encountered with Scribd. In August, I signed up for the "read free for 30 days" trial; however, I recently discovered that I have been charged $8.99 per month since the trial ended. It was not communicated to me that the trial would automatically transition into a paid membership. Despite being charged, I never used the service after the trial period because I was unaware that my account remained active. I believe I should have been notified before the charges started so I could decide whether to continue. As I did not benefit from the service and was unknowingly charged, I request a refund for the charges incurred since October 2nd. I have already canceled my membership. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, Deek

I submitted a ticket for this issue on March 6th, but due to complications with the current situation, I couldn't follow up promptly; so I'll resubmit it here. Hello, I tried out Scribd in August and signed up for the "read free for 30 days" promotion but didn't proceed further. Recently, I noticed I've been charged $8.99 monthly since the trial ended. I wasn't aware that I'd be enrolled in a paid subscription after the trial period; I wouldn't have signed up if I had known. I never logged in after the trial as I wasn't aware my account was active. I believe I should have been notified before the charges began so I could decide about continuing. I never used the service and was unaware of having an active account. Besides canceling my membership immediately, I request a refund for charges from October 2nd. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

I am unsure about the $10 charge on my account because I cannot determine the associated email address. I have checked all my emails, but each time I checked, it created a new account. Now, I have several accounts without my debit card linked and one unknown account that is charging me unexpectedly. I cannot afford this charge, especially during this pandemic where every dollar is crucial. I urgently need to resolve this issue and get my money back. Please reach out to me via email at [redacted] promptly so I can provide my card details to cancel the unidentified account. Your swift response is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance during this difficult time.

I used the free trial version of Scribd before it expired, and I uninstalled the app in [redacted]. I was not aware of the automatic monthly subscription deduction from Scribd as I never received notifications about being subscribed. Despite showing me as a non-active member, Scribd has been deducting $8.22 USD from my bank account every month since December [redacted]. I have not received any notifications or emails regarding these monthly deductions or my membership status. I ask Scribd to address this issue promptly, and I would appreciate a refund for the transactions. Thank you.

A $14.99 charge appeared on my credit card last Friday after I signed up for the 3-month Flash Offer. When I try to sign in, it directs me to a different offer for 3 free months followed by monthly charges of $9.99, requiring payment details which I did not authorize. I attempted to resolve this through the help section but was led to providing payment information for technical support, which I declined. I have not used any of the services and am frustrated. I am requesting a full refund and ask for confirmation via email once it's processed. Please refrain from sending me unsatisfactory links in response. Anticipating the refund and confirmation promptly, otherwise, further action will be taken. Thank you. - K. Reid

I have my Scribd monthly payment deducted from my checking account on autopay around the 28th each month. Due to unexpected higher medication expenses, I currently have only a little over a dollar in my account instead of the $9.99 needed for this month's payment. My Social Security deposit on the 3rd of next month will cover it. I would appreciate it if you could delay the withdrawal until September 3, [redacted], when funds are available. I can then ensure two payments ($19.98) are available for withdrawal. My name is Lorne E Allgood, and my email is leatutor[at]yahoo.com. Additionally, do you have a customer service phone number for future reference? Thank you.

I have reached out to Scribd regarding my membership, I have been a paying member since January [redacted]. Last week, the app suddenly stopped working, and I am unable to access my account as it shows no membership. Despite sending multiple requests for assistance, I have not received any resolution. I am frustrated as I am paying for a service that is not functioning correctly. I can only access books through my iPhone and not my iPad or computer. I am hesitant to delete and reinstall the app due to the risk of losing saved data. Additionally, I received a promotion for 60 days free, which seems unnecessary since I am already a paying member. The lack of response and assistance from Scribd's customer service has left me extremely dissatisfied.

Hello there, I hope everything is well on your end. I have encountered an issue that I am uncertain how to resolve. I obtained two subscriptions as a work reward. I used one code for my account ([redacted]) and the other for my husband's account ([redacted]). I am puzzled by the fact that I am being charged despite entering a code for a one-year subscription. I wonder if you could trace these codes in question to see which accounts they were associated with based on my email history: From [redacted]: K[redacted]15 K[redacted]10. I am under the impression that my husband's account should not have incurred any monthly fees. Originally, I signed him up for a promotional period of a couple of months or a month for free but entered the subscription code before the expiration. Could you please confirm the duration of access linked to these subscription codes and reimburse any erroneous charges? Additionally, there is the matter of my credit card being misplaced or stolen - I have a new one with similar numbers, which may impact this issue. Looking forward to a resolution, Julie Hatch (representing Angus Hatch - for verification purposes) Please respond to all communications, including [redacted] Our addresses are identical, and our phone numbers only differ by one digit. Thank you and hoping to hear from you soon.

I have been noticing a recurring charge on my corporate credit card since last spring that no one can explain. Despite changing my card multiple times, the charge persists on the new ones. This issue must be resolved urgently, even though I did not authorize this subscription and the store manager is unaware of it. I use this card solely for business purposes. My name is Cheryl Crystal, and the last 4 digits of the credit card are [redacted], issued by Capital One.
