Several items were missing from my grocery delivery on 9/28/18 (order number [redacted]). I've contacted customer service via email twice but only received automated responses that did not address the issue (#[redacted] and #[redacted]). I also attempted to call but was left on hold without a response. I provided a detailed list of the missing items in my initial email. I am seeking a refund or credit for the value of these items. This lack of communication and resolution is disappointing, especially since I am a frequent Safeway delivery customer, spending over $[redacted] each time. If I cannot rely on receiving my full order and cannot reach anyone when issues arise, I may need to reconsider using Safeway in the future.

As a customer at Safeway with my 10-year-old son, I experienced an uncomfortable incident involving a manager, Edwardo, who displayed intimidating behavior towards an employee. Edwardo loudly confronted the employee across the deli and aisle, adopting a domineering stance and tone. This behavior continued until the transaction was completed, with another employee even trying to calm the situation. Witnessing a manager publicly humiliate and bully staff is unacceptable. Such actions should not go unpunished and the employees deserve better treatment. Safeway management should address and prevent such behavior, setting a better example for everyone. Bullying in the workplace should never be tolerated, especially in the presence of customers who should feel comfortable and respected during their visit.

I purchase cage-free, organic eggs from Safeway, but after seeing a recent story, I am concerned about potential false advertising and animal cruelty. The article mentioned a specific farm supplying eggs for Nellie's Free Range Eggs, questioning the conditions in which the hens are kept. Do Safeway source eggs from Nellie's? And does Safeway have measures in place to verify that their vendors truly provide cage-free and organic eggs? The footage from the farm exposed overcrowded sheds with limited outdoor access, showing the hens living in cramped conditions with minimal space per bird. Additionally, the practice of debeaking to prevent cannibalism was distressing. It is important to ensure that the eggs we purchase align with the standards we expect. It's concerning to learn that these hens are slaughtered once their egg production declines, highlighting the harsh realities of the egg industry. This information prompts me to reevaluate the source of the products I buy.

I have been a loyal customer of your Mclean, VA store on Chain Bridge Road for over a decade, and each visit presents consistent challenges. Two recurring issues mar my shopping experience: 1. Inadequate cashier availability: It is disappointing that the store consistently struggles to have enough staff at the checkout. This ongoing problem has persisted for years without improvement. Could more employees be staffed at this high-traffic location, or perhaps introduce self-checkout options? 2. "Crazy Andre" at the checkout: Upon entering, the loud and talkative behavior of Andre is immediately noticeable. His excessive talking and joking disrupts the shopping experience. It would greatly enhance customer satisfaction if steps were taken to address this issue and ensure a more pleasant checkout process.

I recently visited a Safeway store that had aisles blocked, causing inconvenience. When I politely raised the issue with the supposed manager, she did not address it but walked away. Despite explaining my substantial monthly spending at the store, she showed no concern. Upon leaving empty-handed, she finally asked the night crew to clear the aisles over the intercom. I observed unattended aisles cluttered with pallets and boxes, and even took photos to document it. When I took a picture of the aisle with the manager, she reprimanded me for photographing staff members. I believe that since they are in a public location, they have no expectation of privacy. I am ready to provide these photos to Safeway's higher management upon request.

Subject: Parking Ticket Concerns at Safeway Parking Lot Dear Diamond Parking, I am writing to express my concerns regarding a ticket I received in the Safeway parking lot. I strive to be a considerate parking neighbor, but I was surprised to receive a ticket during a brief visit. The lack of clear guidelines on your parking information sign makes it challenging to understand what constitutes appropriate parking behavior. Without specific instructions, it is difficult for parkers to make informed adjustments and avoid penalties. I have observed instances of other vehicles obstructing parking spaces without repercussions, raising questions about the consistency and fairness of enforcement. I believe that providing clearer guidance to parkers would enhance the parking experience and prevent misunderstandings. I kindly request information on dispute procedures and where to access relevant details for future reference. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope we can work together to improve parking practices in the supermarket lot for a more positive experience for all patrons. Sincerely, L. Moloney

I had a disappointing experience with a customer service person named Laura at the Guerneville store. I felt she was being rude and on a power trip for no apparent reason. After purchasing items, I politely asked for 2 rolls of quarters but was only given 1 by Laura, who refused to provide another one. When I tried to discuss it with her, she walked away, making it difficult to communicate. Later, when inquiring about getting more quarters, the manager mentioned I could have another roll, but Laura intervened and insisted I could only have it the next day. Despite being in pain and walking with difficulty in a boot brace, I had to return to the store due to her actions. I was left puzzled as to why the manager did not intervene more effectively and why Laura treated me poorly when all I did was ask nicely for quarters. It was a frustrating encounter that left me questioning the quality of customer service at the Safeway store.

I have already spoken to the store manager, but I feel the situation was not handled appropriately. I want to file a complaint regarding the cashier, Marcy. She was extremely rude to me and my daughter during our visit. While my daughter was bagging due to the lack of baggers, she turned off the conveyor belt to prevent my bread from getting squished. Marcy reprimanded my daughter for touching the belt, to which I responded that she didn't need our assistance. We continued with the checkout, and Marcy asked if we needed help to the car, to which I declined as it was her job. This led to Marcy raising her voice at me, which was unacceptable. Despite the manager offering me a $20 discount, Marcy never apologized. I believe a more mature approach would have been for all of us to discuss the issue calmly. The incident was witnessed by other customers and cashiers, causing embarrassment. If baggers are not available, I will refrain from having my child assist during future visits. It's worth noting that my child is over 18 and can bag groceries effectively. It's also important to mention that Marcy was not scheduled to work that day and may have been in a bad mood due to that.

I have been a loyal Safeway Pharmacy customer for many years. Recently, at the Green Valley, AZ store, I encountered an issue with the price of my thyroid medication. Despite providing my insurance information, I was initially charged $78, but after insisting on checking, it turned out the medication had not been processed through my insurance. When properly billed, the cost was only $32. I was told the $78 charge was based on what I paid the previous month, but my husband had picked up the medication then and was unaware of the cost. I requested a refund for the overcharge, but was denied, being told it was too late. Is this truly Safeway's policy? I am considering switching to another pharmacy due to this error. Can this be rectified?

I shopped at the store two weeks ago and had a troubling experience. While checking out, a courtesy clerk named "Debbie" poorly bagged my items, mixing heavy and light items, resulting in smashed bread and cracked eggs. Debbie even made a disrespectful comment about customers using small carts. When I confronted her, she had no response. Then, as I loaded my car, I found my groceries carelessly thrown around. Debbie's behavior towards customers was unacceptable, and she should reconsider her career if she dislikes customer service. On a positive note, I want to commend another courteous clerk named "Jared W." for his excellent service. Jared not only efficiently bagged my groceries but also offered a friendly attitude, making the experience enjoyable.

During a recent shopping trip about two weeks ago, I had a disappointing experience at the store that I need to share. While at the checkout, a "courtesy clerk" named "Debbie" mishandled my groceries. She threw items haphazardly into bags, causing my bread and eggs to be smashed. Additionally, I overheard her making a negative comment about customers using small carts, which made me feel uncomfortable. When I confronted her, she had no response. Contrastingly, a courteous clerk named "Jared W." provided exceptional service. Despite a similar situation with excessive items, Jared bagged my groceries carefully, even exchanging friendly words. His positive attitude stood out in sharp contrast to Debbie's behavior. My feedback is that employees like Debbie should reconsider their role in customer service if they are unwilling to provide respectful and attentive assistance. Kudos to Jared for his outstanding service.

During a recent shopping trip about two weeks ago, I encountered a troubling experience at the store. A courtesy clerk named Debbie mishandled my groceries by carelessly bagging them with heavy and light items mixed together. My bread and eggs ended up smashed and cracked. When leaving, Debbie made a negative comment about customers using small carts, which led to a confrontation. In contrast, another courtesy clerk named Jared W. provided excellent service, smiling and complimenting me on my purchases. Debbie's unprofessional attitude towards customers like me suggests she may not be suitable for a customer service role. If her behavior does not improve, the store should consider letting her go. Thank you.

I shopped at the store about 2 weeks ago and wanted to share my experience. I had issues with the "courtesy clerk" named "Debbie." While checking out, she hastily bagged my groceries, mixing heavy and light items resulting in smashed bread and cracked eggs. As I heard her mutter about customers with small carts and then saw my groceries carelessly tossed around, I addressed her rude behavior. "Debbie's" unfriendly attitude towards customers reflects poorly on the store's customer service. However, I had a positive encounter with another clerk named "Jared W." He did an excellent job bagging my items, showing care and professionalism during the process. If "Debbie" can't improve her behavior, she should consider a different line of work outside of customer service. Thank you!

Since October [redacted], I have been shopping at the Branch Ave store in Clinton, MD, spending over $[redacted] weekly. About a month ago, I noticed a moldy dog treat on the rack and brought it to the attention of a customer service representative. Despite explaining its exact location twice, the issue was not addressed after two weeks. When I raised it again, the representatives seemed dismissive. I even took a picture after it remained untouched the following week. I have decided not to return to this store and will shop at either Neighborhood Giant or Shoppers instead. Any correspondence can be sent to my P.O. Box [redacted] in Landover, MD [redacted].

Yesterday, I carefully selected the offers I needed before grocery shopping at Safeway. I invested time in deciding to save money by using my Just 4 U Offers and bonus reward points, choosing a $7 discount on a shopping trip and a free avocado. However, at checkout, my rewards weren't applied as expected, leaving me with a higher bill. Despite showing the attendant my account information, the issue persisted. Contacting the rewards helpline was unsuccessful due to long hold times. The erroneous application of rewards has left me feeling deceived and wondering about past instances of unapplied offers. I seek a refund of the owed rewards and compensation for the time spent resolving this issue and selecting offers. This experience has been disappointing, and I hope Safeway will take appropriate action to address it.

I have been actively participating in Safeway's Monopoly promotion, collecting over 12,[redacted] tokens in hopes of redeeming them for Safeway gift cards or Fandango rewards. Unfortunately, I have encountered issues with the redemption platform being offline for several days, despite my attempts to redeem my tokens. I visited Safeway on multiple occasions to inquire about the system outage and was advised to keep trying. Even after contacting customer service with no success, I am still unable to redeem my tokens. I feel frustrated by the situation and would appreciate assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you for your understanding. Tina

I have been a loyal Safeway delivery customer for years. Recently, my deliveries have been handled by Door Dash without prior notice. The delivery drivers are experiencing issues following directions, causing inconvenience as I am located on the 4th floor of an office building where ground floor deliveries are not allowed. Unfortunately, the contact link on the Safeway website is malfunctioning, and I have been unable to reach a representative over the phone. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I may need to discontinue using Safeway delivery services. Customer service is essential, especially considering the significant amount of money I have spent with Safeway over the years. My office is situated in the [redacted] zip code in San Francisco, with the closest store being on King Street. I encountered an issue with my Just For You digital coupon for the Krusteaz muffin and cake mix. I attempted to use the coupon for a lemon pound cake mix, but it did not apply to the product I selected. The cashier informed me that it was only valid for the "blueberry muffin mix as shown in the picture," which was confusing. When I visited customer service, the attendant mentioned it might be because it's a pound cake mix and that the coupon is for regular cake mix. Despite receiving the sale price eventually, I faced the same problem a few days later when trying to purchase the pound cake mix again. The cashier insisted the coupon was for one-time use, even though my phone displayed "unlimited," and that it was only for regular cake mix, which the store did not have from this brand. I hope the company can clarify its coupon terms to avoid future confusion among customers. This has been a recurring issue for me, and I believe others may have faced similar challenges.

I received a Just For U deal on family packs of chicken thighs for $1.57 valid through July, starting July 10th. However, when I tried to purchase them, the meat department informed me they didn't receive any and might not have them available this week. It is puzzling why a supermarket would promote a sale without ensuring the products are in stock. Typically, sale ads are planned weeks in advance to prevent such issues. The explanation provided, "We don't know if we'll get it," is unsatisfactory. Living in Hawaii, I expect fair prices due to the high cost of living. For example, while mangoes are abundant and priced at $1 each elsewhere, Safeway is selling them for $3.59 a pound. This discrepancy feels like a rip-off. Despite expanding stores, shelves often remain empty, causing confusion even among the staff. Having a larger store is pointless if it cannot be adequately stocked. It is frustrating when sales are advertised for items that the store has no intention of selling.

I want to share my feedback regarding the deli service at Novato Sfwy on Nave Dr in Novato, CA. They seem to be understaffed, but Bea provided exceptional service. She sliced the meat to my desired thickness with a pleasant demeanor, and she took the time to ask if there was anything else I needed without making me feel rushed. I have witnessed Bea's impressive customer service and knowledge not only at the deli but also at the Jamba Juice counter and register. It is evident that Bea is well-trained, experienced, and versatile in various roles. Novato Sfwy should take pride in having such a valuable employee who excels in customer service. Thank you, Anita Micheli Novato, CA [redacted]
