I recently discovered that the DiGiorno Pizzeria Thin Spinach & Mushroom Pizza will be discontinued. I urge you to reconsider this decision as there is no equivalent product available. This pizza with its thin crust and traditional sauce is unique. The alternative Spinach and Mushroom option from your house brand features a thick crust and an overpowering alfredo sauce, which does not compare in healthiness and taste. I prefer vegetarian pizzas and find the DiGiorno option much better than other alternatives with meat toppings or thick crusts, which I try to avoid due to the high bread content. I am disappointed at the thought of having to go back to making my own pizzas or settling for a subpar option. Please keep in mind that those of us who enjoy vegetable pizzas have limited choices already, and removing this option will further restrict our selection.

I noticed that Albertson's carries Pepperidge Farm products, but I would like to request adding one more bread to your stock: Farmhouse Oatmeal. I recently had to bring two loaves from NE since I can't find it in AZ. Also, have you considered carrying Thomas Corn Toasties? They are quite popular in New England, and there are many NE transplants in Tucson who would likely enjoy them. On the topic of New England, a beloved ice cream flavor there is maple walnut. Could you check if any of your distributors can add it to their product list? It's nothing like black walnut. I appreciate your attention to my suggestions. Thank you.

I reside in Daly City, California, and have been a loyal customer of the Safeway store located at [redacted] Westlake in Daly City since [redacted]. Firstly, I must mention that this Safeway is not well-maintained, evident from its low health department score and unclean bathrooms, especially important since they have a cafe. Despite always purchasing Nescafé Clasico coffee, I find it inconvenient that it's kept at the customer service area, causing unnecessary hassle whenever I try to buy it. Recently, when I tried to purchase coffee at the self-checkout, a manager insisted only cashiers could provide it, displaying a dismissive attitude. I simply wish to purchase coffee without complications. Unlike the friendly atmosphere at other Safeway locations in the past, this particular store lacks the same charm. I notice the cashiers often forget to thank or smile at customers, some even displaying rudeness, unlike the delightful experience at Trader Joe’s in the same mall. I hope for improvements to make this store a better shopping destination like it once was.

I visited Safeway in Jackson, CA around 11:50 P.M. and was informed that the store is closed until 1:15 A.M. for register reconciliation. Despite the store being open until 2 A.M., customers were turned away. Concerns were raised about missed opportunities for sales when customers left due to the delays. The situation resulted in wasted time for many patrons.

I visited Safeway on Jackson Street in Hayward, CA [redacted] for groceries and needed to use the restroom. Unfortunately, I was shocked by the terrible condition of the facilities. There was feces on the walls and floor, no toilet paper holder, and a discolored broken toilet seat. The walls were in such bad shape it felt extremely unsanitary, reminiscent of a restroom in a developing country. This restroom is used by both employees and the public, and I believe the health department should investigate this matter as it is unacceptable.

I have a WIC benefits card with a balance for groceries that needed to be used before midnight. I shopped for items left on my card balance and went to the cashier 30 minutes before closing. During checkout, two items were not approved due to specific requirements. The cashier canceled the transaction to verify my balance, which matched what I had shown her. However, there seemed to be an extra charge that could not be identified, prompting the cashier to seek assistance. The confusion led to most items being canceled, and I was left with a receipt indicating only a few approved items. When I inquired about the discrepancies, the situation escalated, and the cashier refused to assist further before abruptly closing the register. Unfortunately, my WIC card was charged without receiving any items, causing distress as my family, including four children, were left without essential groceries.

I recently visited the Safeway Store in Milpitas, CA, as I usually do every week. During my visit, I purchased one pound of Oriental Mix from bin #[redacted]. Unfortunately, I found the quality to be very poor, lacking salt and taste. Despite paying $4.99 for the item, I was left unsatisfied with the product. I kindly request a refund for the full amount of $4.99 due to this experience. I appreciate the good service and customer care provided by this store and still plan on being a regular customer. Thank you.
Best,

At the Bareyessa/Capitol Ave store in San Jose, there was an incident involving my 83-year-old mother being harassed by the general manager and another employee. While my mother was husking corn, the clerk yelled at her, causing distress. When I intervened, the manager removed both my mother and me from the store. This disrespectful treatment towards customers, especially towards an elderly Asian lady with a nursing background, is unacceptable. I am seeking appropriate disciplinary action for the staff involved.

I have been shopping at Clayton VS store for 25 years. Typically, I shop between 9-10 pm to avoid crowds, especially with the virus situation. I do understand the need for adjustments due to COVID-19, but it was disappointing to arrive at the store at 9 pm and find it closed. Closing at 10 pm would make more sense as many people are still out at 9 pm in this area. I may consider going to Grocery Outlet or Lucky's across the street since they have later closing hours. Closing at 9 pm seems unreasonable, particularly with the shelter-in-place starting at midnight tonight. I am curious if they have changed their closing hours since then, as there are still many people out. If they apologize for the inconvenience, actions would speak louder than words.

This morning, my husband and I visited Safeway on Ralston and Alameda de las Pulgas at 7 AM. During 6-9 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the store is reserved for senior citizens due to the pandemic. However, there were numerous younger individuals shopping, causing concern among staff. It would be beneficial for Safeway to reiterate and enforce the age restriction to ensure the elderly have access to essential items. Engaging with younger shoppers to explain the policy and kindly request compliance could help maintain a safer environment for all customers.

I purchased the Chicken Enchiladas (Signature Select), which came with a plastic cover instead of aluminum as stated on the box.
Removing the plastic burned three of my fingers badly, causing painful blisters. The largest blister had to be drained nine times, and I couldn't use my left hand for weeks. I would be willing to provide pictures if I could have a direct email address.
While I'm uncertain about how to resolve this, switching back to aluminum covers could be a good start. Though an apology wouldn't mean much now, it would be nice if the company could find a solution to prevent this from happening again.
Thank you for hearing me out.

I am currently participating in the Monopoly game at Safeway, but I am unable to access the Shop, Play, Win section on the website because I cannot remember my email address and password from my previous account. When I tried to create a new account, the website required a phone number and stated that there was already an account linked to it. I have attempted to reset my password using various email addresses but have not been successful. I believe there should be an option to create a new account with the same phone number or change the email associated with my previous account to resolve this issue. However, I am unable to modify my email without logging in, and I am unable to log in due to forgetting all my previous information.

We bought a product with a 'Club Card Price' offer that had no stated expiration. However, upon delivery, we were charged the full price instead. Customer Service explained the discount was not applied due to the delivery after the sale ended. They claimed all sales finish on Wednesdays, which we find unusual as it was not mentioned prior. We are requesting a refund for the difference between the sale and full price for the following items:
- Tillamook 'Club Card Price' x3: $5.99 each
Total: $17.97
Charged: $9.49, $8.99, totaling: $27.47
Overcharge: $9.50
We feel the Customer Service representative did not handle this properly and could not connect us with a supervisor. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

On April 16th, I placed an order for over $[redacted] worth of merchandise. The delivery was prompt, and I was pleased with the overall experience.
Among the items received was a large box of Tide Pods, 72 count, priced at $25. Unfortunately, upon opening it, I found that the pods were stuck together due to some of them being broken open, rendering them unusable. After contacting support, I was assured a credit for the Tide pods would be issued.
However, on a subsequent order with Safeway today, I did not receive the promised credit, which amounts to over $25. Additionally, I did not receive the sale price for the items purchased. I made both purchases through Instacart, just like I did previously.

Concern regarding racism at Safeway #[redacted], located at [redacted] S 320th St in Federal Way:
During a recent visit to checkstand 5 where Steven and Patrick were working, I observed preferential treatment towards a white customer over me. The conversation with the bagger and checker took an inappropriate turn, with the mention of protesters and disturbing remarks suggesting the use of tanks. This behavior is unacceptable. All employees should adhere to professionalism and sensitivity.

I am looking to purchase Signature Care men's underwear in size L/XL. If my local store does not stock this item, is there an online ordering option available? I rely on this product daily and do not wish to continue ordering through instacart due to additional fees. As a senior with heart disease, I cannot drive to the store, so I am seeking an alternative method to procure this essential item.

Yesterday, I made an online order and was only informed that it wouldn't be ready when I called the store an hour after it was due. They mentioned a staffing issue causing delays.
Today, I tried again for a delivery between 5 and 6. Got the same call at 6, saying too many orders had affected mine.
It's frustrating dealing with such service problems at Safeway when other stores don't have these issues. If Safeway can't handle deliveries efficiently, maybe they shouldn't offer the service at all.

For some reason, when my wife entered her debit PIN, it registered as a cashback transaction. When we explained this to the teller, they circled the amount on the receipt and gave her the money, seemingly laughing at us. Later, we discovered an item we bought at a 50% clearance was not included. When I went back to customer service, I was rudely told to wait until they finished assisting others. I feel frustrated waiting in line for a mistake that wasn't mine. I have never encountered such poor service in my 49 years on this planet.

On 10/27/20 at 9:45 p.m., while at Safeway on 7th Street and McDowell in Phoenix, AZ, I noticed two adult shoppers not wearing masks despite the signage. I inquired with a staff member, who confirmed masks were required and said he would inform security. However, the security guard took no action. Suggestions for Safeway to improve safety include: 1) Train staff to assert mask requirements at entry 2) Provide free masks to those without 3) Consider refusing service to non-compliant customers. As regular shoppers, my family needs to feel secure during our visits.

I forgot my password and tried to reset it using an alternate email, but it didn't work. Now I have to wait until tomorrow morning to contact the help desk. Other systems allow password resets online, which is frustrating. I've spent nearly an hour trying to fix this issue.
