For over fifty years, we have been loyal subscribers of the Sacramento Bee enjoying reliable delivery when we lived in Sacramento near Carmichael. However, since relocating to Roseville two years ago, we've noticed a decline in our delivery service. Lately, our carrier has been consistently late, and for the past month, the Sunday Edition has been missing the TV Guide. Our attempts to address this through the automated service line have been frustrating. We are hoping for assistance to resolve these issues promptly.

Hello, my name is Norman Davis. I'm an 87-year-old resident at [redacted] Tamara Jean Rd, Orangevale, CA [redacted]. I've been experiencing issues with my newspaper delivery since May [redacted]. Despite multiple attempts by my caregiver to rectify the situation by calling the Sac Bee Customer line for the 11th time, there hasn't been a resolution.
The problem lies in the delivery going to the wrong house out of the two with the same address. To clarify, I'm at the brown house within the white fence. When we do retrieve the paper, it's often wet from the sprinklers or damaged by passing cars.
Despite our repeated calls, the message doesn't seem to be reaching the right person. I kindly request that this information be passed on to the delivery person in our area.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Norman Davis

This is the eighth time in the last three weeks that I have not received my newspaper. I called customer service each time, but the issue still persists. I need to ensure that my account is correctly credited for every missing delivery. I request that my newspaper is placed on my porch, not the sidewalk or gutter. If I do not receive my paper tomorrow, I will have to cancel my subscription. Additionally, I prefer not to subscribe online at this time.

I reside at [redacted] Starina Way, Sacramento, CA [redacted]. It seems we have a new delivery person. As seniors with 8 steps to our front door, past deliveries were placed on the porch or at least on the steps. Lately, the paper has been thrown on the lawn or in the flower beds, causing it to get wet from sprinklers. Despite leaving the front porch light on, the paper still arrives around 3:00 am. I'm usually awake at that time but have not been able to catch the delivery person. Please ensure the paper is placed on the porch to avoid any potential falls. Thank you for looking into this matter.

I have been a subscriber to the Sac Bee for many years, but I have faced ongoing issues for the past decade. Yet again, today (8/25/18) at 7:06 a.m., my paper has not arrived. Despite my repeated calls to request delivery, I still do not receive my paper, which happens one to two times a month. Particularly during winter, I face problems with either not receiving the paper or getting a soggy one due to poor handling. I ask for redelivery multiple times, but it never seems to happen. I am left wondering why the Sac Bee struggles to deliver a dry newspaper on time consistently throughout the year. My expectation is simple - I want today's newspaper to be delivered promptly today.

I have experienced ongoing delivery issues with my newspaper subscription for the past year. Despite contacting the delivery recorder line multiple times, the problem persists. Upon my subscription expiring in July, I chose not to renew due to these issues. However, I was contacted in October and informed of owing over $[redacted] for delivery post-expiration. I was not aware I needed to specifically cancel the paper. After a representative assured me the problem would be fixed, I renewed for another year, but the problems continue. Lately, I have not received the paper for several consecutive days. My husband even spoke to the circulation manager about this. I seek assistance to resolve this issue promptly.

I have been a loyal reader of the Sacramento Bee since [redacted], but in the past few months, I have encountered delivery issues. My paper has been found under my car or next to the gutter, sometimes wet or even soaking wet. As a 70-year-old with poor balance, I would appreciate having my paper delivered to my porch moving forward. I can be reached at [redacted] It would be beneficial for the company to have a customer service representative available on weekends to address such concerns promptly. This morning, I noticed the newspapers were wet in the Glemvil Cir. and Glenroy Way neighborhood. With the upcoming Sunday on February 17th, [redacted], I anticipate a busy time for the delivery team. Having a live person to address complaints could prevent such issues and save time for both the customers and the company.

I regret to inform you that once again, our copy of the Sacramento Bee was not delivered this morning, on Tuesday, April 02, [redacted]. We followed the automated system, calling "[redacted]" early this morning to report the issue, which has occurred multiple times since a new carrier took over the delivery route in Curtis Park. Our neighbor received their paper, so it is evident that we were overlooked once more. The consistent failure to deliver is causing us frustration, considering canceling our long-standing subscription. If this issue persists, a credit on our subscription may be the only resolution to prevent us from unsubscribing. We appreciate your attention to this matter, and hope for a prompt response. - M.K. I have been struggling with the subscription services without success. I am upset about the pricing policies and plan to escalate this issue. Following the renewal of my subscription, I was billed $[redacted].83 for a year, which is exorbitant. Interestingly, my neighbor next door was charged the same initially but managed to have it reduced to $[redacted]. Another neighbor, three doors down, had their bill lowered to $[redacted]. Surprisingly, my best friend four blocks away was charged only $[redacted].20 for the exact same service. After contacting customer service multiple times, I spoke with Lance on May 6th, and today with Chris and "Rain." They provided inconsistent explanations about the billing discrepancies. Even though I have been a subscriber since [redacted], the offers made to me varied significantly. This lack of transparency and fairness is unacceptable. I was also unsatisfied with being pushed to receive digital news which I never wanted. This issue needs to be addressed promptly to retain your customer base as I will not hesitate to share my experience publicly.

We have yet to receive our newspaper today as it's been a recurring issue. I reached out to someone at The Bee on Friday morning, but once again, the paper hasn't arrived today. I've been attempting to contact the individual responsible for our delivery to no avail. Each time, there are excuses provided for the missing paper, like it being thrown on the lawn and getting wet from the sprinklers coming on.

I received the paper this morning with some of the supermarket ads missing, which I know are usually included in the Wednesday paper. This has happened several times before, especially when the ads have coupons. Additionally, the paper often ends up in the sidewalk or on the lawn, several yards away from our front step, making it a challenge to retrieve. It's frustrating when it doesn't end up anywhere close to our front steps, and sometimes it's even in front of our door. While the delivery has improved in the past few months, it's still hit-and-miss whether we receive the complete paper. We'd like to be able to tip the delivery service for a job well done, but we don't know how to contact them. Leaving a tip outside in Midtown is not an option.

After discontinuing my subscription due to ongoing delivery issues spanning over 2 and 1/2 months, the Bee offered me a reduced price for approximately three months of service, which I accepted as a loyal newspaper reader. The offer was $32.25 for seven-day delivery. Although my bank confirmed the payment, only one Monday paper was delivered on Labor Day, with only Sunday papers received since. I have reported the delivery problems through the Bee's designated page without improvement. Following a call to customer service where I was assured immediate attention, there has been no change. It appears I am paying for a service not rendered, which is disappointing and makes me hesitant to continue with this "special offer."

We, the Montoyas, have been facing continuous delivery issues with our newspaper subscription. Despite switching to only receiving Sunday papers due to ongoing problems, we have not received our papers for the last two weeks. As seniors with mobility challenges, we have requested delivery to our porch, but the papers have not been delivered as promised. We have paid for our subscription until the end of the year and expect the service to improve. If our paper is not delivered this Sunday, we request a refund of $29. We have tried calling multiple times without any callbacks. We also seek credit for the papers missed on October 13 and 20. Your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated. Sincerely, Demetrio & Anadella Montoya, [redacted] Halverson Way, Roseville CA [redacted].

Today, December 4, [redacted], I was disappointed to find The Sacramento Bee delivered wet and soggy once again. Despite my previous complaints, the issue persists. I requested a new paper, but unfortunately, I have to leave for an appointment shortly and will not be able to receive it. It is now 9:10 AM, and it seems that my concerns are not being taken seriously by the carriers or the Delivery Department. I am frustrated that the carriers do not consider the weather forecast, leading to papers being damaged by rain when left unprotected. I am starting to explore other news sources as I am dissatisfied with the current service provided by your carriers.

I have been requesting plastic-wrapped newspapers for weeks now because the area where the paper is tossed is wooden and tends to retain water, causing dampness. Despite numerous messages sent with responses from your end, today - Sunday - I finally received a plastic-wrapped paper, but unfortunately, portions of it are missing. Sections like the Forum and the Life/Style segments were not enclosed. Furthermore, I was billed $[redacted] on my credit card, which was already processed. The price seems to increase every three months, and I find it extremely challenging to access the e-edition. Despite multiple attempts, I have been unsuccessful in using it.

I signed up for the Sunday paper subscription around November 24th. I was expecting to receive the Thanksgiving edition the following week, but it never arrived. Unfortunately, I have only gotten a Wednesday paper and a Thursday paper but no Sunday paper. I recently received a Christmas card from the Sacramento Bee carrier apologizing for the service issues. I sent her a $25 gift. Since then, I only received the Sunday paper before and after Christmas, but no papers since. I've received a total of five papers in the six weeks of my subscription, but only two were the Sunday paper I wanted. I canceled my subscription before due to poor service and I'm frustrated with the inconsistency. I would like my account adjusted to reflect service starting when the deliveries are regular. If that can't be assured, I will cancel and request a refund. The hassle of contacting about missing papers detracts from the enjoyment of the Sunday paper. Also, the carrier is leaving the paper in an inconvenient spot, not by my mailbox.

I have not received my subscription of "The Bee" for the past three Sundays, as I only subscribe for Sunday delivery. I have contacted your service number and spoken to one of your agents who assured me the delivery would be made as soon as possible but it has not happened. This same issue occurred around four months ago when it was delivered one Sunday and then not for the following two Sundays. My subscription is fully paid, so I am confused about the ongoing problem. I have informed your office multiple times about access issues with the entrance gate. If the gate is closed, the code to open it is my phone number - [redacted]. The previous delivery person had no trouble with this in the past. The deliveries used to arrive around 6 am without any issues, so I am unsure why this is happening now.

At CDCR, many of my colleagues are experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) in healthcare, with over 3 years of experience. Personally, I have accumulated 30 years of experience in various healthcare settings. The key difference between LVNs and Registered Nurses is that LVNs, like myself, can administer intravenous fluids but are not authorized to hang intravenous medications unless IV certified. In California, there is a significant number of LVNs, along with newly graduated nurses waiting to take their board exams to become Registered Nurses. LVNs, like us, are eager to assist during the current shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. We believe that despite the limitations set by the nursing board, LVNs are equally capable as RNs and bring extensive experience to the table. Many LVNs have not pursued becoming RNs due to the high costs associated with RN programs in California. By providing a pathway for LVNs to advance their licenses to Registered Nurses, we can contribute effectively to the frontline response to COVID-19. Instead of recruiting nurses internationally, there are numerous dedicated LVNs in California ready to step up to the challenge and meet the increasing demand for healthcare professionals. We plan to follow up this message with a petition signed by LVNs across the state to emphasize the importance of this initiative. By expanding opportunities for LVNs to become RNs, we can address the nursing shortages in California and enhance the California health corps. We hope that our plea for consideration will be acknowledged and help fulfill our aspirations. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am disappointed in the recent articles published in the paper. Yesterday's piece by Fettering was unpleasant, and today's article by Kathleen Parker has led me to consider canceling my long-time subscription. Over the years, I have enjoyed reading the paper and solving puzzles in my retirement, but the decline in the quality of content is evident. Despite previous complaints where I hesitated, I can no longer tolerate such objectionable and misleading information entering my home. The current material, particularly Parker's article, seems disrespectful and divisive. I will seek my news from other sources aligned with my values and beliefs. Kindly unsubscribe me immediately. Thank you, Charlene Pace Elk Grove, CA
