I am searching for a mailbag response discussing the antioxidant precursor NACA. I have reviewed issues from [redacted] to [redacted] of Prevention Magazine but couldn't find the information. The July [redacted] issue has torn pages after [redacted] where the mailbag responses should be. Can someone verify if the NACA details appear in those responses? I recall seeing it mentioned around October [redacted] but haven't located it in my old magazines or the weekly editions from '80-'93. I believe it was in a mailbag response from the Editor. Thank you.

I am seeking advice on dealing with belly fat as a Type 1 Diabetic. Despite owning several of your books, including cookbooks, the information seems focused on Type 2 Diabetics. I have been managing Type 1 for 33 years and, though a size 8, I struggle with visceral fat in my lower abs. I am dedicated to eating whole foods and have even delved into the book on Insulin Resistance. The stubborn belly fat has been with me since college and affects my confidence, especially in a bikini. I am eager to find the right approach to address this. I am open to trying new methods, especially if they involve incorporating coffee into my morning routine. Looking forward to your guidance. Thank you. - Kristina H.

I am experiencing an issue with the order format because I unintentionally clicked twice within one minute while trying to purchase the book "World's Healthiest People" priced at $31.95. I only intended to order one book, but the confusion in the format led to a double order being processed. Prevention, kindly remove one of the duplicate orders from my credit card. The double click was a mistake on my end as I was not aware that the first attempt had gone through.

I have recently been asked to pay $36, but according to my account, my subscription is active until November [redacted]. Back in December [redacted], I already paid $36 for a 2-year subscription. Can you please explain why I am being requested to pay again when my subscription is not due for renewal yet? Additionally, the online subscription details indicate the $36 fee is for 24 monthly issues, so I am puzzled as to why my previous payment was labeled as a 1-year subscription. I would be grateful for some clarification on these discrepancies. Thank you. - S.T.

My name is J. Farrell, and my address is [redacted] E 63rd Street, Brooklyn, NY [redacted]. I have been experiencing issues with a stalker who is subscribing to magazines in my name. I have noticed charges on my bill from your company for magazines I did not order. This is not the first time this has occurred. Previously, I contacted your customer service to remove my information from your database after receiving a charge for an unordered book. Despite assurances that my information was removed, I am now billed $24 for magazines I did not order. I am frustrated that your company allows orders without upfront credit card information. Please permanently delete my information from your system and ensure it does not reappear. I do not subscribe to magazines or books. I also request reimbursement for the shipping cost of the unordered book, as promised by your representative. I am extremely upset about having to address this situation again and demand my information be completely removed from your records. If I receive any more mail at my address, I will involve legal action. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Denise Dinan, and I can be reached at denisedinan @hotmail.com. My customer account number is [redacted]. Previously, I have been responsible for paying for subscriptions for myself and 3 friends, unfortunately, two of them, Audrey Bosca and Trish Rogge, have passed away. I would like to confirm if I am still required to pay for their magazine subscriptions. Furthermore, I would like to continue paying for Maureen Latka's subscription and add a new subscription for Linda Laurence. Maureen Latka's address is [redacted] S Woodlands Dr, Clarklake MI [redacted], and Linda Laurence's address is [redacted] John P Street, Clinton Township, MI [redacted]. The current bill amount totaling $36.00 needs to be clarified. Could you please confirm the correct payment amount that I should send to Prevention magazine? Thank you, Denise Dinan

I subscribed to Prevention magazine through DiscountMags. When my three-year subscription was ending, I renewed and paid on their website. However, Prevention sent me a notice to renew at a higher price, which I declined online. Unfortunately, my magazine stopped coming altogether. They did not send the final issue of my old subscription or start the new one supposed to begin in February [redacted]. Despite contacting DiscountMags via email multiple times, there has been no resolution. They informed me recently that Prevention had completely canceled my subscription instead of just trying to renew at a higher cost. I have not received a refund from either company, and now they are telling me to resolve the issue with Prevention directly. Neither company will honor the three-year subscription I paid for, and I am frustrated that my money was taken without receiving the magazine. I am seeking guidance on how to resolve this situation with Prevention since DiscountMags claims they only handle orders.

I signed up for Prevention to get 12 free books but haven't received them yet. I was surprised to be billed $24 before receiving the books. Customer Service informed me the books will take 8-12 weeks to arrive. I am canceling my subscription as I expected to have the books upfront. If the books will arrive soon, I'm interested in resubscribing.

Two years ago, I signed up for a Prevention magazine subscription. I was unaware that it would automatically renew without notification. After discussing in [redacted], I agreed to pay for [redacted], assuming it was my misunderstanding. Despite requesting to not renew automatically, I have been billed for [redacted]. I no longer wish to receive the magazine.

In the January [redacted] issue of Prevention, the front cover features a subtitle for an article titled "Easy Tricks for a Flatter Belly." Excited about the topic, I purchased the magazine, considering a subscription. However, upon looking at the Contents Section, I noticed that the article was supposed to be on page 46. When I turned to page 46, I found an article about gas and bloating instead. I tried to locate the article on achieving a flatter belly, but couldn't find it.

Dear Editor, I wanted to update you on my journey since being featured in your publication three years ago. Today, on October 9, [redacted], I am celebrating my 97th birthday. Despite my age, I continue to write, tackle important issues, and provide advice, including insights on reducing crime. I have authored seven books available on Amazon, and I welcome any inquiries. My daily routine still includes writing and staying active. I previously credited my well-being to consuming yogurt daily, and this practice may still hold true today. Over the years, there have been advancements in understanding the relationship between gut bacteria and overall health, which aligns with my experiences. I hope my ongoing story can inspire others, showing that one can remain vibrant and engaged even at 97 years old. Best, M. G.

My name is Tina Brigandi, and my account number is [redacted]. My subscription is set to end with the April [redacted] issue. I mailed my $24 check on 2/7/20 with the expectation of receiving 12 bonus pamphlets. Despite contacting customer service on 3/11/20, 5/22/20, and 7/29/20, I have yet to receive the promised items. A supervisor, Susan, mentioned during our call on 7/29/20 that the warehouse claimed to have sent the items on 6/8/20, but they have not arrived. I was recently offered a refund by a person from the refund department, yet they were unable to address the pamphlets and requested access to my computer, which I declined. I am disappointed by the lack of resolution and delay in receiving the bonus items. I hope for a prompt and satisfactory solution as this experience has tarnished my view of the company and the magazine I once enjoyed - Prevention.

I need to cancel my Prevention subscription with account number #[redacted]. My only income comes from Social Security, which doesn't allow for extra expenses like donations or magazine subscriptions. I can only live within my means. I hope for a positive change in my financial situation, but for now, I can't afford any additional expenses. Thank you for your empathy. Sincerely, Ms. Lee Winslow.

Hello, I am a 70-year-old senior citizen with a low income, a disability preventing me from driving and working, and have dealt with belly fat gain since a hysterectomy 20 years ago. I have come across articles and exercise DVDs that could assist me physically and improve my mood significantly. I am interested in receiving a copy of these materials to help address this issue, as my doctor's advice has been limited. Despite having a thyroid condition, recent tests show my medication dosage is correct. If possible, could you please send me the exercise DVD and related articles on reducing belly fat? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Judy Booz at [redacted]

I am attempting to purchase the stretch video DVD and booklet, along with the 10-minute Pilates workout from the Prevention Store. I reside in Ontario, Canada. Unfortunately, I encountered issues during the ordering process as it required me to create a PayPal account, which I prefer not to do. I solely wish to buy the DVDs and workbook totaling approximately $58. I have made purchases from the store in the past without such difficulties, making this frustrating. Contacting the 1-[redacted] number yielded no solutions, as the representatives could only suggest ordering through Amazon, a U.S.-based option. I am perplexed by the lack of information provided for Canadian customers, especially considering there used to be a store in Georgetown, Ontario. This situation has consumed several hours of my time.

I recently made a purchase at Prevention Shop with Order #[redacted]99. After placing the order, I realized I missed applying the free shipping promo code "Ship35." Even though it says "Best shipping" on the order, free shipping should apply. I wanted to cancel the order to re-submit it with the promo code but couldn't find an option to do so. I would appreciate it if you could adjust the order to include free shipping and refund the $9.99 for shipping. Unfortunately, reaching out to Prevention Shop has been difficult, as my replies to the Order email were returned, and I couldn't find a customer service email on their site. Your help in rectifying this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Carol G.

I would like to share a different perspective on mineral sunscreen options. The top pick mentioned might not be the best choice due to its alumina content, which can raise concerns about aluminum absorption into the skin. I recommend considering alternatives like the Solbar Shield Sunscreen with Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide, or the Banana Boat Sensitive [redacted]% Mineral Sunscreen Lotion with SPF 50. These options are effective in preventing sunburn and are budget-friendly compared to others. Remember to look beyond endorsements and analyze the ingredients, potential risks, usage issues, and the overall efficacy of the product. It's essential to make informed decisions based on the product itself rather than external factors.

I'm writing in response to the sales brochure you sent a couple of months ago. After reviewing your sales material, memories of being a loyal reader of Prevention flooded back. I currently hold onto 37 old issues, dating back to the seventies and maybe a couple from the eighties, which I refer to often. The reason for keeping these old copies is simple: the absence of the "mailbag" section in your publication. This section was the sole reason for my subscription. I frequently turned to it when I needed guidance on health matters. Bringing back this column could potentially attract past readers like myself as new subscribers. Let me illustrate the value of this column. Some years ago, when I was considering buying a new car, I turned to people driving models I was interested in and asked for their feedback. The insights I gained helped me make an informed decision. Similarly, Prevention's mailbag section provided a window into how others were managing their health issues. I hope my perspective sheds light on my stance and why I cannot subscribe without the presence of a mailbag section. It's unfortunate because this small addition could significantly boost your readership. Regards, W.P. in Orlando.

I signed up for a 6-month Prevention magazine subscription through a prepaid postcard promotion, paying $18 with my MasterCard ending in [redacted]. I was under the impression that I would receive an invoice towards the end of the subscription period to cancel if needed. However, I noticed a $36 charge on my bank statement in December, despite having only received 4 out of the 6 issues. I am disappointed that the renewal was automatic and want to receive the remaining 2 issues before canceling and receiving a refund for the $36 charge. I am unable to locate my membership number online to handle this myself. I appreciate assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you.
