I have tried to register my Philips Blu-ray player three times today because the online registration keeps entering the wrong date of purchase. Despite following the instructions to match the date on the receipt, it consistently changes the date to the day before. The Philips online registration app, accessed through the QR code on the owner's manual, is requiring a credit card for completion, which I prefer not to provide as I am not making any purchases online. I would like to know why I am unable to register my Blu-ray player without submitting credit card information.

I have come across the Philips spa5300 and some desktop USB speakers with a similar design. The USB speakers are sold by various brands, and I am wondering if some of these brands have partnered with Philips to use the design of the Philips spa5300, or if they have simply copied it without permission.
