In my rental housing, electricity is included in the rent. We recently experienced a power outage for the second time during my tenancy. To report outages to Penelec FirstEnergy, an account number or connected phone number is needed, which I don't have access to. I reached out to our building manager, who doesn't have this information as it's managed solely by the housing authority. Contacting them involves a restrictive phone system with a by-name search requirement to leave messages. I spoke to a FirstEnergy Customer Service representative who acknowledged the issue but didn't have a solution. Most businesses have replaced direct contact information on their websites with social media options that I don't use. I believe common sense should prevail, making it easy for all customers to communicate with a business. Any help with Penelec would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There are currently two trees lying on the electrical line along Colbert Ave in Oil City, PA, before [redacted]. Positioned on the left side when traveling into Siverly, two trees on the hill are at risk of falling onto the lines and causing potential damage. While not an expert in stormwater drainage, I have observed severe erosion caused by water runoff from the top of the hill down to the Allegheny River, affecting areas such as Cedar Ave and Grove Hill Cemetery. The water's wide flow path is lifting topsoil and carrying it into the river, highlighting the need for action. 1. Remove the two trees from the wires. 2. Cut down and clear any trees that endanger the wires or passing vehicles along Colbert Ave. - Yvonne G., Director of Code and Zoning Enforcement at the City of Oil City, 21 Seneca St, Oil City, PA, [redacted], Contact: [redacted], Direct Line: [redacted].
