I bought 5 Mets tickets for a game on 5/12/[redacted] which got rained out. The tickets indicated we had a year to use them, but due to the Coronavirus, we couldn't make it back to NYC before the 5/12/20 expiration date. I'm looking to extend the validity of the tickets to a later date when the Mets start playing again and it's safer to travel back to the city. How can I arrange for this extension?
I recently became a 20-game season ticket holder with Chris Notaro as my salesperson. Unfortunately, I have been unable to reach Chris for the past 5 weeks. I heard from a friend that tickets for games this weekend are being distributed, but I have not received any communication from the organization. It's disheartening to feel neglected as a paying customer. Despite having a smaller package, I still expect to receive assistance and at least a call back to help me with my ticket setup.
I have a concern with the Mets' managerial choices. I have been a loyal Mets fan since [redacted], previously a Brooklyn Dodgers fan. The constant turnover of GMs and managers has been a struggle. I recommend considering Jim Thome as the new manager. He is a Hall of Famer known for teaching and respect. Allowing him to pick his coaching staff could greatly benefit the team, especially considering his connection with Lindor from their time with the Cleveland Indians. As a 76-year-old retired man in Florida, I don't have easy access to Mets games. I hope this message reaches someone influential with the Mets. Winning one more championship would mean a lot to me before I pass away. Thank you, Joe M.
My mother and I attended the Hernandez retirement number game on 7/9. We were waiting at the Seaver entrance, with my 90-year-old cancer patient mother in a wheelchair. As the heat started to affect her, I requested if she could sit in the A/C inside while I waited outside for the gates to open. However, the security personnel were unprofessional and refused entry. Concerned for my mother's well-being, I spoke with the security supervisor, who said he would check on it but never returned. A female security officer sarcastically said to call [redacted] if my mom needed help. As a retired NYPD officer and 9/11 responder, I have never faced such poor treatment. I have been a Mets fan for over 30 years, and attending games is one of my mother's favorite things to do. I am disappointed by this experience. — Carla D.
Good afternoon, I recently sent fan mail with baseball cards to Danny Mendick at 41 Seaver Way, Queens, NY [redacted]. I dispatched the mail on March 27, [redacted], hoping he would receive it upon his return to Citi Field from spring training. Unfortunately, as Mr. Mendick was assigned to the Syracuse Mets on March 27, [redacted], someone else handled his mail and returned my cards to me. I am puzzled as to why someone from your end went through Mr. Mendick's mail. It was unexpected for me that Mr. Mendick would be sent to Syracuse on the day I sent my letter. I am disappointed to receive my items back and not by Mr. Mendick himself. I would appreciate a response regarding this matter. Thank you, Dave
I watched the game last night against the Phillies. Did anyone else notice the Phillies' closer in the ninth inning consistently touching the bill of his hat while striking out MyMets? There appeared to be a round dark substance on his hat bill. I am surprised that no one checked his hands or anything after the game. I feel like the game might have been influenced to give the I-95 workers a memorable match. Unfortunately, I lost money and bragging rights due to this, and it's puzzling to me why I seemed to be the only one who noticed the pine-tar stain on Kimbro's hat.
