I received a message saying that my certification cannot be processed, with a claim date of 12/6/[redacted]. After my Claims Examiner Interview on 12/29/[redacted], I was notified that I am eligible for benefits starting from 12/6/[redacted]. I have tried calling the number listed on the website but have been unable to get through. Additionally, I am unable to see the status of my claim online, so I am unsure of the issue. This is my first time applying for unemployment benefits, and I want to ensure I do not miss any important deadlines. Thank you.

I submitted a claim yesterday evening and later checked the Claim Inquiry online. After entering my license information, a message on the screen indicated no record of my claim. I tried submitting another claim online and encountered the same message when accessing Claim Inquiry. Despite receiving a Claim Number and a scheduled Phone appointment, I'm concerned my claim may not have been processed correctly. I hope to avoid waiting in vain for a resolution.

I submitted a claim on July 10. After approval, I received a Bank of America card and all the necessary paperwork. Instructed to verify my identity within 7 days at a One-Stop Career Center, I faced challenges due to distance and impending surgery. The hold on my unemployment funds persists as I struggle to seek guidance on whether to proceed to a center or file a new claim.

I am Samuel O., and I applied for unemployment on 09/09/[redacted]. Over two weeks ago, I received two letters indicating I could start claiming my benefits the Sunday after 09/26/[redacted]. Shortly after, I got a letter detailing my payment amounts. It stated my weekly benefit rate (full week) is $[redacted].00, partial benefit rate at $[redacted].00, and a maximum benefit amount of $3,[redacted].00. I was expecting to access the funds this week since I applied urgently due to financial needs. However, two days before I was scheduled to claim my benefits, I received a letter suggesting I may have quit my job without cause related to work. It now says I have to wait until 10/17/[redacted] for an interview to assess my eligibility. I did not quit; my workplace, Sears in Lawrenceville, NJ (store #[redacted]), closed on September 4th, with my last working day being September 2nd. I can't comprehend why I was initially allowed to claim benefits this Sunday but now face a delay until October 17th. It's frustrating and I need clarification promptly as the situation is causing financial strain.

After dedicating 45 years of my life to working without ever being fired, I faced an unjust denial of unemployment benefits following an altercation at work. Despite providing two doctor's notes to validate my situation, I was dismissed and unfairly labeled as a liar, which is completely unfounded. Despite enduring numerous health issues and multiple surgeries over the past two decades, I have consistently shown up for work. It is disheartening to be treated this way after contributing to unemployment benefits throughout my entire adult life. I strongly believe my rights have been violated, and I am determined to escalate this issue to higher authorities, beyond the standard state employee responses. I refuse to accept this discrimination and demand justice for the unfair treatment I have endured.

Can my employer require me to use my PTO during a government shutdown? Would using PTO impact my ability to claim unemployment benefits? I applied for benefits right after missing work due to the shutdown, but as a contract worker, can my employer fire me for seeking unemployment? Was I within my rights to file for unemployment since we were told to halt work? I have no intention of resigning and am willing to go back to work as soon as instructed. My employer is insisting on using up any available PTO, leaving us vulnerable in case of future absences due to health reasons or pre-planned time off. Could using mandated PTO affect my eligibility for unemployment benefits?

I have been facing challenges collecting partial benefits due to an ongoing issue with the Unemployment Insurance Web application. Whenever I try to claim weekly benefits, I receive a message stating that the system is unavailable. As a union worker, there are weeks when I have limited or no work, and it's crucial that I can certify my benefits promptly without risking my job. I'm concerned that my claim might be affected by a technical glitch or another issue preventing me from accessing it.
I initiated a claim in early December after a temporary layoff, but I was called back to work immediately, causing a delay in claiming benefits online. Now, I am unsure if I need to take action to reactivate my claim or if there is a system error preventing me from certifying. This situation has occurred before, leading to missed benefits and unnecessary stress. I believe there should be clearer guidance on the online platform to assist users in managing their claims effectively.
I have previously reached out to NJUI via email, but the response time was unsatisfactory, forcing me to resolve the issue in person and incurring additional financial losses. I am seeking a prompt resolution to this issue and would appreciate any assistance available.

I am frustrated receiving "cannot be authenticated" messages when trying to file a claim. When calling, I am asked to call back the next business day due to the high volume of calls. This situation is causing me to lose time from work to collect my benefits from last week, affecting my income during the holiday season. The system's inefficiency and lack of support from NJ Unemployment is putting me at risk of missing out on money I am entitled to. I have faced issues with filing claims before, and I fear I may lose out again. I believe a formal complaint option should be available as the delays are not my fault. I expect to receive my benefits without further setbacks, considering I rely on these payments. It's unfair to my household, and I am disappointed with the service provided. I am eager to receive the benefits I am owed.

I am encountering errors while trying to authenticate myself for filing a claim, both online and over the phone. In early December [redacted], I lost a weekly partial due to the same issue. I managed to reopen my claim but faced difficulties certifying online last Sunday and also via phone due to high call volume. I am frustrated by this situation, feeling that it is unfair. New Jersey is preventing me from receiving the benefits I deserve, due to mismanagement in the unemployment division. It seems like they are purposely making it hard for entitled individuals to get paid. I ask for unemployment to re-open my claim and ensure I can certify for benefits smoothly.

I am experiencing issues claiming my weekly benefits. My last benefit claim was processed on 1/14/19. Despite trying to contact the office every day, I have been unable to get through. I was expecting a phone call today, 2/13/19 at 11:20 am regarding possible job training and school attendance, but the call never came. I am currently pursuing my MBA and have one in-person night class on Wednesdays from 6:10 pm to 8:10 pm, as well as an online night course. I provided detailed information about my school schedule to my UI representative, Ruby Rivas-Delarosa, on 12/19/19 to demonstrate my ability to work full-time. I have also emailed my UI representative on 1/23/19 and again today (2/13/19) since I cannot reach anyone by phone. I am unsure why there is a delay in my benefits and would appreciate assistance in resolving this issue.

I encountered two issues with claiming my benefits online for the first time. Initially, I followed the instructions provided in the paper mailing and created an account, inputting my direct deposit details. However, during registration, when attempting to edit my information, the system indicated that funds would be loaded onto a debit card instead of allowing me to choose direct deposit into my bank account. As for the second problem, after completing the weekly benefits filing, the webpage encountered an error, advising me to either retry later or utilize the automated system. Given the urgency of the situation, I tried calling in my benefits, only to be redirected to a representative who was unavailable, leaving me unable to resolve the issue promptly. I have attempted multiple times throughout the day without success. Your assistance in addressing these issues is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Anthony

Hello, I am Brian F., and I encountered issues with my unemployment benefits due to an overpayment in [redacted]. Hello, I am facing a suspension from work because I had to stay home with my daughter who had no school and no sitter available. I asked my employer if I could use a previously approved vacation day instead. I recently returned from FMLA on January 14, [redacted], and had not missed a day until Monday, March 11, [redacted] when I was suspended. Since the initial training period where I was verbally attacked, it feels like there has been ongoing retaliation towards me. As a single parent, missing unpaid days is not something I can afford, so calling out is always my last resort. I am concerned about potential termination and wondering if I would be eligible for unemployment benefits. I am trying to prepare for any impact on myself and my daughter. Any guidance on this matter would be highly appreciated.

Hello, I submitted a claim a few weeks ago that was denied, and now there are more complex issues I need assistance with. There's been laparoscopic surgery involved, and I, along with two other doctors, are discussing next steps due to my reaction to stronger medications. I am dealing with significant pain from an ovarian cyst, which hinders my ability to work reliably. I am eager to recover swiftly and return to work, but it involves numerous phone calls and waiting periods. Once I'm back with my husband at Camp Lejeune, I plan to apply for jobs I had previously sought in New Jersey. I'm uncertain if my situation qualifies for unemployment benefits, so I wanted to reach out and seek guidance. Thank you for your attention, and I am anticipating your response.

I was informed on the New Jersey unemployment website that I needed to wait until after May 15th to claim my unemployment benefits of $[redacted]. However, I recently received a letter stating that I am disqualified from benefits because they believe I voluntarily left my job, which is not true as I was terminated. Now, I have to go through an appeal process with a phone conference, but I don't want to do this unnecessary process when I was terminated and did not leave voluntarily.

Hello, my name is Kurt Banff. I have been on worker's compensation since March 15th, [redacted] due to a work-related accident on January 15th, [redacted]. I sustained a hernia, two torn rotator cuffs, and back problems. Despite being in continuous treatment, I am soon to be released. I want to discuss the harassment I faced from three bosses when filing for worker's compensation. One boss, Brian, made comments about my wage and implied finding another job. Another boss, Scott, made insinuating remarks about motives for signing up for worker's compensation, while a lady boss named Lori questioned the legitimacy of my injury. I anticipate facing difficulties upon returning to work, including decreased hours and strenuous tasks to force me out. Due to a permanent 40% loss of function in one arm, returning without restrictions is unfeasible. If I decide not to return to work due to fear of harassment, could I qualify for unemployment benefits? I've worked at the company for two and a half years, witnessing how they treat others on worker's compensation. I am considering a three-way meeting between myself, my boss, and an unemployment official upon my impending return. At 61 years old, I am apprehensive about potential harm and seek advice on navigating this situation. Thank you.

Please assist us! My husband and I were self-employed, but we lost our business last September. Despite many efforts, we've been struggling to help my husband get his unemployment benefits. Mr. Bauerchamp attempted to assist us without success. The state confirmed receiving our business dissolution letter, which Ms. Carry Romanine from your office previously deemed acceptable. However, when we called the provided number, it didn't connect us to unemployment services. Mary Barbour mentioned they are looking into it, but we're stuck once again. Desperately in need of this money to catch up on our mortgage, we have hit a dead end. Any guidance from a knowledgeable individual would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

My name is Jacqueline Lavalley. I had trouble reaching someone last week as I am not familiar with using a computer. A friend is helping me write this message. I was off work from June 10th through June 17th. I managed to speak to a person today who informed me that I needed to call last week to reopen my claim for the period of June 10th to June 17th. I couldn't reach anyone until today, and now I am being told that I might not be able to collect for that week. I believed my claim was valid for 28 weeks. I am unsure if I will be penalized for not calling last week. I am seeking guidance on how to collect for the week I missed. Additionally, I will be back at work from June 18th to June 21st but will then be out of work again. When should I reopen my claim for that period - on June 21st, my last day of work, or on June 24th, the following Monday? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
