I've noticed some issues with my Star Tribune delivery service. Last summer, despite requesting a vacation hold for over a week, my papers were still delivered, leaving a pile of newspapers on my front landing. Recently, my Sunday paper was missing the comics, and the weekday papers have been inconsistently placed on either the steps or landing. Previously, I had excellent service where the paper was reliably delivered to my door. Now, at 85 years old and recovering from a heart procedure, I find myself having to go out to retrieve the paper from unpredictable locations. It's becoming challenging for me, and even though I prefer reading the physical paper, I end up reading online due to delivery issues. I'm considering switching to online service, but it would make me unhappy. While my Sunday paper is delivered correctly, the weekday service needs improvement.

We have been subscribers of the Minneapolis Paper for over 57 years. Both my wife and I have heart conditions, and with our driveway being downhill, it's challenging for us. Lately, the paper delivery person has been leaving our paper near the street end of our driveway instead of closer to the garage door like we used to have. Given our concerns about falling in bad weather, I decided to cancel the paper delivery this morning. If this is the level of service they provide to people with disabilities, we have decided to discontinue receiving the paper.

For years, my neighbors and I have been facing subpar delivery service. In the past month, I didn't receive my paper on 10 days. Despite contacting customer service multiple times and them being polite, nothing improves. Yesterday, I asked for a redelivery which didn't occur. I also sought a call from the carrier's supervisor, but that didn't happen either. I need assistance with this ongoing issue.

I missed receiving the Sunday paper for two consecutive weeks. The first time it was redelivered on Monday morning. Yesterday, I reported the issue again, and was assured a replacement would be sent. However, as of Monday at 10:41 am, I still have not received the paper. I suspect it may be getting stolen as it's left at the end of the driveway instead of by the front door. I would like a credit for yesterday's missed paper and request that the paper be delivered to my front door this coming Sunday. Otherwise, I may need to cancel my subscription. Thank you. - Gene

On January 2, [redacted], I received an offer from Star Tribune for 26 weeks at $1.00 a week. When I signed up online, I mistakenly ended up with the daily service instead of Sunday only. After contacting customer service, "June" assured me the change to Sunday only was made, which seemed resolved until I received papers on Monday and Tuesday. Despite attempting to rectify this with the carrier named "Wade," I kept receiving daily papers. When I called again today, "Amber" requested a code I didn't have to make the change. Feeling frustrated, I asked to cancel the subscription as this experience has been disappointing. My intention was to take advantage of the special offer for 26 weeks at $1.00 for Sunday delivery only.

I have been a loyal customer of the newspaper delivery service for years until a new carrier took over the weekday deliveries. Unfortunately, the placement of the paper has been consistently problematic, landing on the sidewalk or in the yard instead of on the front landing where it's easily accessible. Despite filing a complaint through Get Human and speaking with a representative at the Star Tribune, the situation did not improve. The carrier's lack of effort to deliver the paper in a more convenient location has made it difficult for me to retrieve it due to medical reasons, leading me to resort to reading the news online instead. I decided to cancel my delivery service as I found myself increasingly relying on the digital version of the paper. It's disappointing to see a decline in delivery quality and makes me question the management's priorities regarding print delivery.

I have tried to reach out to you via email and phone regarding my newspaper delivery. For many years, the Tribune has been delivered directly to my garage door, wrapped in plastic. The usual practice was for the delivery person to drive halfway into my driveway and place it next to the door. However, the new delivery person leaves it in the middle of my drive near the street or about a third of the way in, which is not convenient. I prefer it by my garage door for safety reasons during icy conditions. This change is disrupting my routine of putting on boots and a coat to retrieve the paper. I understand challenges in snowy weather but expect the usual service otherwise. I value my subscription but may need to reconsider if this continues. Thank you. Corene B.

Over the past weekend, I experienced more delivery issues with the newspaper. On Saturday, March 18th, I didn't receive the paper at all. Then, today, the delivery person once again failed to place the paper in the tube as promised and just tossed it on the ground. According to Brian, if the paper isn't put in the tube, I shouldn't be charged for it. This means I shouldn't have to pay for both days this weekend. However, I noticed that you have already charged me for this paper on my recent bill covering Jan. 23rd to Mar. 20th. It seems unfair to be billed for services that were not provided properly. The delivery person's behavior is unacceptable and should be addressed promptly.

We placed a vacation hold from 2/18 - 3/14 for account #[redacted]6 and received your email confirmation. After returning home, we discovered that all weekday papers were delivered despite the hold, totaling 17 unwanted days. We are requesting a credit for those 17 days.
Additionally, we've encountered an ongoing issue with the weekday delivery person. Our house at [redacted] Clinton Ave. South has a porch reachable by 12 steps from the curb. The weekday individual consistently throws the paper from the curb, often landing in a snowbank or partway up the steps, posing a challenge for me due to mobility issues. In contrast, the weekend delivery person reliably places the paper directly at the porch door. We kindly request that you address this matter with the weekday delivery person or consider assigning a new individual to this route. Thank you, Mike & Ann Carter.

I need to request a credit for the paper from April 1st. It was not delivered to me despite the efforts made. I usually refrain from making complaints, but last summer our route faced challenges in finding a reliable driver. The weekend carrier consistently fails to deliver the paper close to my garage door, which is troublesome for me as an older customer with physical limitations. On weekdays, the service is excellent with the paper always on my doorstep. However, on weekends, the delivery location is inconsistent. I have even had to venture out in icy conditions to retrieve the paper from across the street. I have been a loyal customer for many years, but if this issue persists, I may have to cancel my subscription. While I appreciate my weekday carriers and tip them generously, the weekend carrier's service needs significant improvement, as even substitute carriers have performed better.
