I submitted my [redacted] taxes to Michigan and got a letter requesting more information. After sending what I believed they needed, I later found out it wasn't sufficient. Subsequently, I sent them all my tax documentation. I am unable to get any updates on the progress of my refund, which amounts to $[redacted]. I have tried reaching out to the Treasury Department without success. Despite calling numerous numbers listed online for the Michigan Treasury, I keep getting directed to an automated loop that doesn't address my concerns. How can I connect with a live person to resolve this issue?

I am a part of a national nonprofit organization that offers support to families affected by stillbirth. Recently, I discovered new legislation signed by the governor on 12/31/18 reinstating the Stillbirth Tax Deduction benefit for families who experience a stillbirth from 1/1/[redacted] onwards. The bill number is House Bill #[redacted]. I am seeking information on how families can claim this benefit on their [redacted] tax returns to update our website with accurate details. I believe the process may involve acquiring a Certificate of Stillbirth, and we already have information on that. If you could provide me with the necessary steps for families to claim this deduction, I would greatly appreciate it. S. L. I am concerned that my [redacted] Michigan income tax, which was supposed to be used for my property taxes, was not allocated correctly. Being a 65-year-old senior citizen with disabilities and visual impairment, I relied on tax deferral for my property. Despite receiving a corrected tax credit and explanation, my levied taxes did not contribute to my [redacted] property taxes, leading to a $1,[redacted].00 refund discrepancy. This has caused a snowball effect of debt accumulation and overdue property taxes, hindering my eligibility for home improvement assistance. The [redacted] property taxes are marked as "Pending Audit," showing payments received, and my assessment, valuation, and classification were accurate. I urgently seek assistance with this issue to remedy the mounting financial burden and property tax arrears affecting my ability to receive crucial home improvement aid.

I submitted my tax return on January 28, [redacted], and have been waiting for it to be processed. After receiving a letter with instructions, I followed the first step but missed the second step. When I called the treasury, I was informed of the additional action needed. I promptly sent the requested information via certified mail on March 18. Checking online, I see that my $1,[redacted] tax refund is now scheduled for review completion by May 24. As a 78-year-old in need of the funds, I am concerned about the lengthy process. Is there any way to expedite this so I can access my refund sooner? Thank you.

I submitted my taxes on March 30th, but I haven't received any updates yet. Despite three emails inquiring if the issue is resolved, it remains unsolved. I've tried contacting through the phone system to no avail, and I'm desperate to speak with a live representative. Should I consider re-filing or will that only further confuse the automated system? The emails from GetHuman suggest I should be able to resolve this myself, but I'm at a loss. I've provided my information multiple times during my interactions with the automated voices. My email is [redacted]

To whom it may concern, I reside in a federally-funded apartment building where heating costs are included in the monthly rent. The remittance advice displays a 12-digit number, followed by a check number and date. The $22 refund indicates "pay to the order of" with my name. However, on the back of the remittance form, it's clearly stated, "THIS IS NOT A CHECK - DO NOT CASH." Sincerely, H.K. How can a remittance act as a check and also not a check simultaneously? When attempting to contact your office, I couldn't reach a live person due to the automated system. Calling [redacted] led to a disconnection message. A new phone number, [redacted], was provided as a replacement. The public library's computer displays the old disconnected number instead of the updated one. Respectfully, H.K.

Upon receiving my stimulus check, I used an app to deposit it into my account. However, the app instructed me to send pictures of the check and write "void" with a black marker on the front. After submitting the images, the session timed out, and the check was rejected. I am now unable to use the check as it is marked void, causing financial strain. I have reached out to explain my situation, as I have important expenses to cover. Is there a way to have the check deposited into my account instead, so I can resolve my financial obligations?

My father, Roger F. Johnson, passed away on May 19, [redacted]. I am Susan Hale, appointed as the personal representative of his estate on March 6, [redacted]. The settlement process has been prolonged due to the initial lawyer withdrawing. I recently discovered an uncashed state income tax refund check in my father's name from February 9, [redacted], totaling $[redacted].00. The check details are as follows: agency 28Z, Bank ID [redacted], ACCTG [redacted]9. Can this check be reissued to the estate of Roger F. Johnson since it remains open? Please advise on the necessary steps to proceed. Thank you for your attention; I can provide the estate's bank account information upon request.
