On October 15, [redacted], I received the Syncisc injection in my left knee from my orthopedic surgeon. Within 24 hours, my knee became severely swollen and painful, and I have not experienced any relief from the injection. Prior to Thanksgiving, I contacted the doctor's office to proceed with knee replacement surgery. I completed the required tests and informed the scheduler that I had fulfilled all pre-surgery requirements. Despite this, I have not heard back from the doctor's office to schedule the surgery. Today, December 14th, was the last day I felt comfortable proceeding with the surgery due to my wife's urgent need to visit MD Anderson in Houston for a clinical trial related to her aggressive ovarian cancer. Since other treatments have not been successful, this trial at MD Anderson is our last hope. I am seeking approval from Medicare to receive a different injection of Hyaluronic acid from my pain management doctor in Tifton, Georgia, so I can accompany my wife to Houston in mid-January.

I urgently require my medication. Upon contacting my insurance, they have not granted me an override. I am about to leave for the holidays without my medication, which is crucial for my health as an HIV-positive individual. The medication I received was damaged, and I am seeking assistance for an override, which the insurance company has not approved. I need to disenroll promptly so I can obtain my medication from an alternative source.

I am currently facing an issue with obtaining my medication Genvoya from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Despite explaining that my medication was damaged and I would be away for the holidays, I have been unable to get an override for an early refill. I am now left without medication, without funds to pay out-of-pocket, and in urgent need of a solution to receive my medication promptly from Medicare when I transition to them in January. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

I recently received a bill from my eye doctor for a procedure that they are informing me Medicare no longer covers. I am curious about the reason for the change in coverage and if there were specific protocols the eye doctor should have followed. I do not recall signing any waivers for this procedure. It is called an ophthalmoscopy, extended, potentially identified by code [redacted]. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I recently got my initial bill from Medicare amounting to $[redacted].00 for Part A & B over 6 months, due by 3/25. This sum is a significant one-time burden for me. I was under the impression that Medicare premiums would be deducted monthly from my forthcoming Social Security benefits starting in April. Additionally, I am uncertain whether I need to pay for January to March despite having coverage through my employer. It's possible I may have misinterpreted the setup process. My Medicare number is 8CW4DR7HU71. Thank you, Mary S.

I have been dealing with chronic arthritis in my right knee and have been on a 6-month cycle of injections for years, which have provided significant pain relief. However, after my last injection of "Gel 1" on February 1st, I did not experience the usual relief. When I spoke with my orthopedic doctor on February 25th, he mentioned my insurance would not cover another injection until six months have passed. Currently, I'm managing the pain with Ibuprofen and Hemp Cream, but I find the situation unreasonable as I am in severe pain. I am seeking guidance on alternative options like switching to Synvisc or retrying Gel 1. The pain is impacting my daily life, so any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

My name is Hannsa P. from Plano, TX. I have not been employed for the past 10 years and will be turning 65 soon. During this time, my focus has been on supporting my husband in managing hotels in various locations and dealing with health issues, including multiple surgeries and cancer treatment. Despite not drawing a salary from our business, we have filed joint tax returns. Currently covered by my husband's work insurance, I am concerned about losing coverage once he retires. He already has Medicare part A. I am wondering if I am eligible for Medicare part A without premium based on my husband's work history or my health condition preventing me from working. His name is Deeshynt P., employed at SMC Ltd. Thank you for any assistance provided.

Dear Medicare,
Recently, I received a bill from Medical City Green Oaks Psych Ward for $1,[redacted] out of a total of $15,[redacted], which they claim Medicare covered. I was planning to inquire about this charge, as I have been disabled since [redacted] and thought of proposing a monthly payment plan of $5 as I do not work.
When I attempted to contact them, the automated system disconnected my call after I provided my details. Upon redialing, the representative repeatedly asked if I was calling from a smartphone, which seemed odd and led to further confusion.
The bill is linked to Medical City Hospital in Texas, and during this frustrating process, I found the attached photocopy missing. I suspected a mishap due to potential overseas involvement in their operations.
I intended to seek legal advice from a local attorney regarding this billing issue but encountered obstacles in reaching out for assistance, which only added to the distress caused by the billing discrepancies.
Kind Regards,
TWiillyM

I'm seeking guidance on how to request Medicare reimbursement for purchasing a ResMed CPAP, as recommended by Dr. John J. Villa, a Medicare-enrolled physician. The ResMed CPAP was acquired as a replacement for a Phillips CPAP that was recalled. Despite being placed on a waiting list by Phillips, no communication was received from them. Consequently, the patient paid for the replacement CPAP in full based on the doctor's prescription. What steps should be taken to facilitate reimbursement from Medicare for this purchase? Your assistance is appreciated.

I need assistance with my prescription coverage. I spoke with a Medicare representative and visited a Lifespan office for help selecting a plan due to my severe rheumatoid arthritis and use of Biologics. However, I am still confused about my coverage. Last night, I checked the cost of my medications and it's over $[redacted] per year for my mental health medication and $[redacted] a year for my RA Biologic. The plan recommended to me is the Aetna Medicare Elite Plan (PPO) (H5521 - [redacted]) with coverage starting on 11/01/[redacted] for both Part A and Part B.

I currently have Healthspring, but I have recently moved and would like to find a doctor closer to my new location. Unfortunately, the doctor I prefer, Dr. Elizabeth Stevenson at Greystone Family Care, does not accept Healthspring but does take other Medicare plans. I am considering dropping my Healthspring coverage and switching to either original Medicare or another supplement plan. I am wondering if this change will affect my prescription costs. I only have two medications that I take each month for my blood pressure. Thank you for your assistance.

My name is George J. Meyer. I have been dealing with issues in the Queensland medical system for the past 7 years. It all began with a AAA repair and has been a source of continuous stress and pain since then. I have diligently kept records of all medical documents, CT scans, hospital visits, and communications with various authorities. Recently, my experience with Fraser Coast Radiology left me deeply concerned. Despite previous experiences of purchasing CD copies of my scans, this time I was only allowed access to an online patient portal. The downloaded images were incomplete and edited, showing no metal in my body contrary to previous scans. I have escalated this matter to authorities like the OHO, State Ombudsman, and even the police, but have faced challenges getting a proper investigation. I am worried about the potential consequences of inaccurate medical records. I will continue to push for accountability and transparency in my medical care. George J. Meyer.

I recently received a suspicious phone call from a caller with broken English claiming to be issuing new Medicare cards. The call displayed Valero SVCS Inc on the phone ID ([redacted]). Upon contacting Valero, they were unaware of Medicare issuing new cards and recommended reaching out to Medicare directly. Can anyone confirm if this was a scam? If so, what further steps should I take? Thank you for any guidance on this matter. - Gerlinde K. Pyron
