My license was suspended due to an error at the courthouse in the town of Pollock, LA. I contacted them when I found out the reason and they emailed me a letter to send to the state to clear my license and record, as well as my insurance. I have the email with the letter explaining the error made by one of their workers, stating the incorrect last two digits on my driver’s license number. This has been escalated to the next level of authority. I need them to clear my license from suspension, but I can't reach them by phone. I must email them the letter of clearance and obtain confirmation promptly to prevent my insurance from dropping me. I am on a deadline and struggling to reach someone for assistance.

My daughter's name is Patricia Cundiff. She moved from Porte Baree, Louisiana on September 29, [redacted], to Kansas City, MO. Patricia got a new driver's license, tags, and switched her insurance to State Farm. We are looking for information on where to return the Louisiana tags. She received a letter today from the sheriff's department. Please email me the address to send the plates. Thank you very much,
Her mother,

I have been attempting to contact the OMV since 11-28-22 to reinstate my suspended license. Unfortunately, none of the OMV Field Offices, Public Tag Agencies, or Online Services are able to help with the reinstatement. The only option provided is to call [redacted]. I have made multiple calls every day, but the high call volume message instructs me to call back later or leave a detailed message. Even after leaving numerous messages, I have not received a call back. This situation has led to my insurance being cancelled. My license was suspended due to a ticket in October [redacted], which I believed had been resolved in St. Charles Parish on 11-10-[redacted]. The local OMV directed me online for reinstatement, only to inform me that I must call the mentioned number. This cycle leaves individuals in a challenging position without a solution if no one responds or returns calls promptly. I am requesting a direct contact number or email for the Commissioner's Office of the OMV to address this recurring issue affecting many Louisiana residents. It is crucial to escalate this matter for resolution and improve the cumbersome reinstatement process that significantly impacts daily life.

I currently have a flag on my license, leading to an expired registration and tag. The flag stems from a leased vehicle that I returned years ago, but it hasn't been updated in the system. I've sent proof of the turned-in lease by mail and email to the Baton Rouge DMV, but I haven't received any response. It's been a frustrating process for several months now. My local DMV is unable to assist due to staff shortages and changes related to COVID-19 closures and storms. Despite my efforts to reach out via phone and online, I haven't been able to speak to anyone or find a resolution. I feel stuck and unsure of what steps to take next.

I am having an issue with the renewal process regarding the mailing address used. Despite indicating a PO Box for mail, my renewal was sent to my home address. Despite notifying of an address change and a check payment, the correct address was not used. I am frustrated by the lack of action taken when the registration and sticker were sent to the wrong address. I feel like having to pay an additional $70 for this error is unjust as I fulfilled my part. I updated my address with the DMV while renewing my driver's license, so why was this not reflected? Now I am required to visit a physical location to correct the address, which was not clearly stated on the renewal form. This whole situation is causing unnecessary inconvenience.

I am concerned about the handling of my renewal request. Instead of mailing it to my PO Box as requested, it was sent to my home address. I clearly indicated an address change on both the notification and my check, but it seems the corrections were overlooked. If the registration and sticker were sent to the wrong address, shouldn't they have been returned due to an incorrect address? It is frustrating to learn that I may have to pay an additional $70 for another renewal. Despite updating my address with the DMV when renewing my driver's license, the proper changes were not reflected in your system. I am dismayed that the renewal form did not specify the need to visit a physical location for an address change, requiring me to schedule an appointment just for this purpose. This situation is incredibly inconvenient.

I encountered an issue at the New Roads DMV. I requested a handicap tag for my father with a form that the doctor had to fill out. The first time, the doctor forgot to check a box indicating my father was not present, so the staff refused to process it. When I returned with the correct box checked, they still wouldn't accept it and demanded a new form. I feel discriminated against because of my race, as the staff member seemed unwilling to do her job properly. I believe she should be dismissed immediately for negligence and causing unnecessary inconvenience over a simple handicap permit. It's frustrating to see individuals like her neglecting their responsibilities, especially when it impacts the system and costs time and money. Lazy behavior like this shouldn't be tolerated in a public service setting.

On 9/25/[redacted] - 9/27/[redacted], I had a lapse in my insurance. When I tried to renew my registration, I found out that all my vehicles had a flag on them, resulting in a penalty. I paid the penalty for my [redacted] Ford van, [redacted] Kia Forte, [redacted] Chevy Spark, and [redacted] Toyota XB (date unknown, pre-COVID). There seems to be a flag on my daughter's license for the [redacted] Toyota XB that I thought I paid for. I would like to know the date of that transaction to double-check and resolve the issue.

I have visited the OMV in Lafayette three times now, twice with appointments and once without. During my first appointment, the system was down and I was unable to process anything. Despite being assured I could return without an appointment, subsequent visits were also plagued by system issues. I returned after Memorial Day to find out my paperwork was lost, and eventually, on a Friday at 3:00 p.m., everyone was sent home due to computer problems once again. I agree that a backup system should be in place for such occurrences or the system itself needs fixing. It's frustrating to make multiple trips without being able to resolve the initial issue.

On July 28, I visited the office to address an issue with my license. It turned out there was a flag on my record and I was given information about the fees required to resolve it. To reinstate my license, I was offered a payment plan option. I agreed and was informed that I needed to pay $[redacted] for the flags, but unfortunately, payment had to be made by calling a specific number. After several attempts, I finally reached a representative named Miss Janice on August 4. She mentioned the total due was $[redacted]. I requested to speak to a supervisor, but haven't received a callback yet.
