I have been a loyal customer of Loblaws for more than 50 years. I am disappointed by the new policy requiring customers to become members or buy multiple products to access discounted prices. This practice feels like price gouging, especially for seniors like myself who may only need one or two items. It seems unfair to use customers like me to subsidize discounts for others. I purchased the lobster roll pack on sale from my local Independent a few weeks ago. When I thawed the lobster, it appeared nothing like the picture on the box. It was mushy and had various unfamiliar items that should not be on a lobster roll. I have decided not to return it but instead discard the lobster and utilize the buns. The discounted price of $5.99 compared to the regular price of $24.99 in the summer now makes sense. Having enjoyed many lobster rolls on my annual trips to Nova Scotia, I can confidently say that nothing I received resembled an authentic lobster roll.
