I had a LightStream account that was set up for monthly payments through an automatic deduction from my SunTrust Bank account. Last year, I underwent treatment for prostate cancer involving a lengthy course of radiation therapy and accumulated various medical bills. Despite my financial difficulties, I continued to make payments on time. However, I had to file for bankruptcy in November [redacted]. After my bankruptcy filing, I noticed that no payments were being automatically deducted by LightStream in December. Upon contacting them, I learned that payments were suspended during the bankruptcy proceedings. In March [redacted], I was informed that my LightStream payment was included in the court resolution of my case. Although I did not default, my brother, Harold H., who co-signed the loan, suffered health issues affecting his credit. Regarding reference #[redacted]6, I received an offer from your company for a soft credit check that won't impact my credit score. My user # is u4a8ji2j. While reviewing the application form for the debt/credit card loan, I found errors that need correction before submission. I am unsure how to edit the information. I have been approved for a $5,[redacted].00 loan, but there seems to be an issue. The loan officer, Danny Williams, sent $[redacted].00 to my bank account, but requested that I purchase $[redacted].00 in eBay Store Cards, keeping $29.00 for myself. I complied and sent him the eBay Store Cards. However, there is now a hold on the $[redacted].00 funds. Additionally, there was $1,[redacted].00 deposited and then removed from my account overnight. When asked for another $[redacted].00, I became suspicious of a scam and refused. I am asking LightStream to return the $[redacted].00 as I no longer wish to continue with this loan process. I have already reported this to LightStream, SunTrust Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, and the Texas State Police for possible fraud.

After listening to Hagmann's Report, I was introduced to Lightstream and I am interested in applying for a loan for relocation and paying off my car. I have been recovering from surgeries due to an occupational accident, but I have a solid job offer from the Veterans Administration with a salary of $***,***. I am hoping to explore loan options with Lightstream and would appreciate guidance on what they can offer me. If Lightstream is not a good fit, I would appreciate recommendations on other potential lenders. Thank you.

I submitted an auto loan application on 4/27/[redacted]. After Lightstream notified me of difficulties in accessing my TransUnion report due to a credit freeze, I promptly removed it on the same day. However, on re-applying on 4/28/[redacted], the same issue persisted, leading me to contact TransUnion once more. They assured me that there were no restrictions on my account and advised Lightstream to directly reach out to them at [redacted]. This communication breakdown is hindering my efforts to secure financing for a car purchase. I would appreciate any help resolving this promptly. Thank you.

I received a call from an individual claiming my loan was approved, giving me details about the loan. Later on, he mentioned I needed to purchase insurance, instructing to pay with a gift card. After some back and forth, I ended up paying $[redacted], only to realize it was a scam when he asked for more information from the card. Feeling suspicious, I contacted the store and found out that the card had money on it. The scammer then requested a picture of the card and receipt. I began to doubt his intentions and declined. I acknowledge that I fell victim to a scam and wanted to alert your company about this fraudulent activity. I outline the details provided by the scammer, along with my unfortunate financial situation due to recent events. I understand that it may be challenging to track down these scammers, but any assistance in reclaiming my funds would be greatly appreciated.

I spoke with Andrey Simms at 1-[redacted] regarding a $3,[redacted] loan. Initially, I was informed about needing $[redacted] in prepaid cards to secure the loan. Following this, Andrey mentioned a red flag on my name causing the inability to process the loan unless I sent an additional $[redacted]. When I requested to speak with a superior, Andrey refused to provide any contact information. This situation appears to be a scam. I insist on the return of my $[redacted] immediately. Andrey, at 1-[redacted], is not responding to my calls, and I have documentation of the Google Play prepaid cards. However, Andrey then claimed there were issues with my name and requested an additional $[redacted] to proceed. When I inquired about speaking with a supervisor, Andrey refused to provide any contact information. This situation appears to be a scam. If this is the standard of operations for your company, it's concerning. I am requesting a refund of the $[redacted] as Andrey is unresponsive. I have evidence of the purchased Google Play gift cards. Please refund my money promptly. I am not interested in the loan under these circumstances. I fell victim to a scam by your company. I applied for a personal loan, and someone claiming to be from your company contacted me. They said the loan was approved but due to my low credit score, I needed to pay for loan insurance and taxes. I paid $[redacted] but never received the loan. When I inquired, they mentioned a red flag on my information and requested another $[redacted] to clear it. I refused and now want to report this fraud and recover my money. I recently received a notification from LightStream praising my past good credit and offering a special invitation to apply. Despite my excellent credit history, my loan was declined as they couldn't access my credit report due to a lock. I verified with TransUnion which was not locked but had to unlock Equifax. Now I can't reach anyone at LightStream by phone, and the decline letter hinders me from seeking help. Previously, my experience with LightStream was positive, but this time it's disappointing. Unable to connect with a live person on the phone, I may need to look elsewhere for financial assistance.

A representative has been assisting me with a loan application, but the process has been inconsistent. I have been asked for a lot of personal information and then informed that my application would need to be reviewed by the FTC. I decided to decline the offer, only to be informed that I would need to pay 8% of the loan amount. I have not received any confirmation of the loan being processed, and my bank accounts were closed the day I shared my account details with the representative, Jack Slater. Furthermore, the paperwork I received looked like a copy with several typos. I am uncertain about the legitimacy of this situation, but it appears to be suspicious. Important information regarding our auto loan with LightStream: Please do not list LightStream as a lienholder on your vehicle title or loss payee on your insurance policy. If asked, simply inform the vehicle seller or your insurance company that you did not utilize secured financing. This will help us avoid future paperwork inconveniences. Thank you!

Dear LightStream, I recently applied for a debt consolidation loan through State Farm. As an agent employee, I promote the LightStream/State Farm partnership. However, my loan application was rejected due to my credit history and debt/income ratio, despite having more than 40 years of credit history and a credit score above [redacted]. I recently received a call from a representative at Live Stream Finance informing me that my $5,[redacted] loan application was approved. However, he requested my account number and routing number. Before providing this information, I would appreciate speaking to someone to confirm the legitimacy of this approval. I am hesitant as I find it strange that I cannot verify this over the phone. I have been in contact with an individual who claims to be affiliated with your company. I have been attempting to secure a loan but have encountered various requests for payments. Initially, I was asked to pay insurance through AIG, followed by additional requests for money because of alleged losses incurred by the supervisor. Despite being informed that the loan is ready for me, I was instructed to visit Western Union for its collection due to my credit score. I was provided with two numbers which, according to the individual, were necessary for the transaction. After consulting with Western Union and visiting Walmart as instructed, I was informed that I needed to pay an additional $[redacted] for each number to proceed. I have details of the individual involved who has been disrespectful and insulting. I am seeking clarification on this process and whether it aligns with your business practices. I am genuinely in need of a loan but want to avoid potential scams and work with a reputable organization.

I am Deborah Poole. I initiated a loan process with a gentleman named John who initially approved me for [redacted]. However, he later requested [redacted] and then [redacted] from me. After assuring me of funding in 30 minutes, he asked for [redacted] for document preparation. With only 1 dollar to spare, I emphasized the importance of transparent fee disclosure upfront given my extensive 20-year banking experience. I am of the firm opinion that the [redacted] fee should be waived for my loan.
