I have already contacted Kik support about this issue and received an automated response stating that they are not currently addressing general issues. They directed me to their troubleshooting and FAQ pages, which I had already thoroughly searched through. I have tried various troubleshooting suggestions with no success. Initially, my messages would not show as sent ("s") or delivered ("d"), instead showing "..." indefinitely until some failed to deliver. Despite a good connection, the issue persisted. After logging out and back in, the app would continually freeze upon loading, making it impossible to message anyone. Despite receiving push notifications and seeing incoming messages, I could not reply. After days of unsuccessful attempts, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app today. It now loads, but all my contacts are missing. Even after testing with a friend, messages are not delivering properly on my side, while push notifications continue. As a long-time user with contacts only on Kik, I am at a loss. If you have any further suggestions, please let me know. Thank you for your assistance.

Hello, I am writing to raise serious concerns regarding the behavior of certain users within a Kik group I am a part of. I have observed a significant number of individuals, mainly men over the age of 40, engaging in what appears to be an attempt to groom a 17-year-old girl named Taylor. This troubling behavior has been ongoing for approximately a month. I feel compelled to report a specific user, "Bad," who has initiated inappropriate requests for Taylor to send him nude photos via Instagram. I am deeply disturbed by this situation and urge for prompt investigation. For safety reasons, I would prefer to remain anonymous but am willing to provide more information if required. Please reach out to me using the contact details in my signature. I can also supply screenshots of relevant accounts and assist in identifying individuals involved in potential predatory behavior. I logged back into Kik recently after a few years' break. My old public group was inactive, so I tried to create a new one. However, I keep encountering an error message whenever I attempt to start a new public group. Even after verifying that I'm not a bot, the app doesn't allow me to proceed with creating a public group. Private groups work fine, but I prefer a public one. I'm unsure what else I should do to resolve this issue.

I am attempting to reset my password on Kik by using the "forgot password" feature, but I have not received the reset link. The email associated with the account is marked as in use, preventing me from creating a new account. I contacted Kik support via email but have not received a response. I hope reaching out here will help me reset my password and regain access to my account. If not, I may have to consider permanently deleting my account with over [redacted] contacts. I have all the necessary information for the account and have followed the proper procedures to resolve this issue, but there has been no response from Kik support.

Hello, I'm Penny and I'm experiencing login difficulties. Around a week and a half ago, I created a new Kik account due to safety concerns. I had been dealing with a stalker who kept creating new accounts to harass me using my old username every other day. To avoid them, I stopped opening their messages and blocked them immediately. When I logged out and tried to delete the new account, I couldn't log back in despite having the correct password. Even my email wasn't working. After trying three times to recover my password through Kik support with no success, I reached out here for help. I have been experiencing persistent sexual harassment from an individual who repeatedly sends unsolicited explicit images despite being blocked multiple times. I have reached out to the email address "[redacted]" providing the account names this person utilizes - 'TP Olliepalmer1992', 'Toalmer1992', and 'Tpalmer369'. Each time I block him, he creates a new account to send inappropriate pictures, constituting sexual harassment. I am urging a manager to get in touch with me to address this matter by either warning or removing him from the platform. I am deeply appalled by the actions of individuals who stoop so low to harass women. Feeling unsafe, I have uninstalled my Kik account under the username tight_kitt. I was deceived by someone using the name Katie Morris, who initially wanted to meet up. After sending a video, they requested photos and a video from me. Later, they threatened to share my photos, video, and phone number on social media. They demanded $[redacted] from me to stop and delete the content. Subsequently, they insisted on $[redacted] to $[redacted] to remove everything. The harassment continues, and I am seeking assistance in dealing with this situation.

I have been using the app and I really enjoy it. Lately, when I try to chat with a friend, the app closes after being open for only 5 seconds. I have checked if it is listed as a sleeping app on my phone, but it is not. I also made sure to upgrade the app, but the issue persists. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, which allowed me to log in but the problem still occurs when I try to select a friend to chat with. I messaged a girl and asked her to delete the app. She said she did, but when I messaged the account again, the "D" changed from faded to a darker shade. I researched and found that a darker "D" means the message was delivered to an open Kik app. However, I'm unsure if she still has the app and opened it, or if the "D" got darker just as it was sent to the account. A faded "D" means the message is sent through Kik servers, waiting for the app to be opened. When the "D" gets darker, it indicates the message has delivered to an open app, meaning the person opened the app and received a notification. Will the "D" still get darker if the app is deleted, or should it stay lighter to show the app is deleted and not change to a darker shade?

Please assist me. I have previously reached out regarding my ex-husband repeatedly accessing my account to manipulate me into not divorcing him. Despite filing for divorce in October [redacted], I have struggled to deactivate and permanently delete my account as he gains unauthorized access. Recently, I discovered the app reappeared on my phone, and upon attempting to cancel my account, I found he had changed the associated email to one unknown to me, hindering my deletion efforts. Although I initially had a Protection From Abuse order against him, I reluctantly lifted it as per our lawyers' agreement for him to return to the house under strict conditions. However, the situation deteriorated, with his attempts to blackmail me using conversations from the account. I suspect he gained access through various email addresses, prompting me to create a new one. Please help me ascertain the altered email address that now controls the account, commencing with the letter "d." Your assistance in uncovering this information is crucial in providing evidence of his unauthorized actions. Thank you for your support.

I recently had a distressing experience with someone online. We were sharing photos, and unfortunately, it took a bad turn. They ended up distributing my pictures without my consent to my Instagram followers. I immediately blocked the person and deactivated my social media accounts. I have been attempting to reset my Kik password for both accounts. Strangely, my main account had its email changed by someone who gained access without my knowledge. The username Kline40 was affected, and I am concerned that my second account, kline401, was also compromised. My accounts have been taken over without my awareness of the situation.

I have multiple accounts and changed the associated emails on them, thinking I was hacked. The account I need help with is "sweetsmoothsouls." The original email was [redacted] or [redacted] Later, I changed it to [redacted], which is the current email. But I mistakenly used [redacted] I can't access that account now. I tried [redacted] as another linked email with no success. Can I regain access to my "sweetsmoothsouls" account?

Last September, I tried to log in to my Kik account, Kline40, but was unsuccessful. When I attempted to reset the account, I discovered a different email address attached to it. It became apparent that someone had hacked into my account, changing the email and phone number, locking me out permanently. I have contacted Kik multiple times about this breach, providing my email, username, and phone number, but have not received any assistance. It seems like Kik is not taking my issue seriously. Even though there is a customer care number, no one responds or returns messages. I have reported the hacking to the FBI and local law enforcement. The hacker claimed ownership of my account, despite me having it since [redacted]. It is concerning that the hacker knows personal details about me. His name is supposedly Nathan King, going by the alias Pain, and refuses to return the account.

I have been using Kik for years without any issues until the last few updates. Recently, I have been unable to join public groups as I keep receiving an error message that says, "Oops, something went wrong, please give it another whirl." Furthermore, I am unable to save pictures and other media that my friends send me. Although it shows a checkmark indicating that the file has been saved, I cannot locate it on my phone as Kik no longer creates a dedicated folder. I own a Samsung A52 with the latest Android update, and these problems started around two updates ago. I have tried to manually install an older version of Kik, but it only allows me to download the latest version from the Google Play Store. I have already reinstalled Kik multiple times, ensured all permissions are granted, but these issues persist.

This morning at 10:30, the Kik system stopped sending and receiving messages for me. I waited 30 minutes, but when the issue persisted, I logged out and back in. It briefly worked, then the problem returned. I repeated the log out and in process with no success. I uninstalled the app, restarted my phone, and reinstalled the app. Now, my friends list won't load, and I can't access chat rooms, search for friends, or find new rooms. Kik keeps timing out, and I can't complete the installation process anymore. Need assistance, please!

On Friday around 2:43 PM, while I was live, my boss made inappropriate comments suggesting I would show my nipple, which left me feeling disrespected. I'm considering filing a report, but I lack proof. Does Kik save live videos as proof? I need evidence to report his behavior. He has yet to apologize, and it's been four days since the incident. Someone made a Kik username matching mine on Snapchat a week ago, causing me to receive unwanted messages from guys. Their Kik username is lilyross27, the same as my six-year-old Snapchat username. When I asked them to direct people to their own Snapchat, they demanded payment and were disrespectful. This situation is causing me stress and impacting my health. I am reluctant to change my Snapchat as I've had it for a long time, and I also use the same username on Instagram. I would appreciate any assistance before considering legal action. Thank you.

Kik live streaming has become a source of frustration for me lately. After enjoying the app for years, I am considering dropping it soon. Even my boyfriend finds it annoying. The way random strangers are pushed on us instead of allowing us to connect with the people we actually want to chat with is bothersome. Additionally, the placement of the live stream function can be disruptive, dropping down unexpectedly and causing accidental clicks. This, alongside the issue of spam bots and inappropriate interactions, has made the app feel cheap. Many users are starting to abandon ship due to these shortcomings. It is disappointing to see an app I once liked become so desperate and unpleasant to use.
