I am experiencing an issue at [redacted] Wabash in Kansas City, Missouri. The tenant residing there has had their power disconnected for the past few weeks. Despite being a registered account holder with your company, he is facing difficulties due to a previous tenant or property owner stealing electricity. This situation is beyond our control, and I urge you to address it promptly. Your delayed response is jeopardizing our tenant relationship, and I request to speak with a supervisor or someone in a higher authority position to resolve this matter efficiently.

In [redacted], KCP&L switched software systems, and my account inadvertently got labeled as a business instead of residential due to billing address conflicts with our garage. Despite paying online as recommended, I noticed a discrepancy when comparing my bill to my neighbor's - my bills were taxed. Upon contacting KCP&L, I was informed that my home was categorized as a business and the garage as residential, implying I lived in the garage.
At 77 years old, I felt taken advantage of financially. After meticulously reviewing past bills, I discovered I was overcharged $5,[redacted].89 due to the incorrect business classification. Despite submitting a Claim Form with detailed evidence of overcharges, I was denied reimbursement rudely by customer service.
Though the issue was finally corrected in August [redacted], with no more taxes or license fees, I still seek reimbursement for the past errors. If no resolution is found, I may escalate the matter further. It's disheartening to compare how KCP&L handled our honest billing inquiry versus a substantial unpaid bill left by others at our previous property in St. Joseph. Your assistance in rectifying this situation would be greatly appreciated.
