I was booked on flight JQ287 (Wellington to Christchurch) for April 3rd. However, less than 24 hours before departure, my flight was cancelled due to operational requirements (as per the attached screenshot). Despite Jetstar only offering a flight two days later, I had to book with another airline to return to Christchurch on the same day, incurring a cost of $[redacted].80. As a mother of two dependent children, this delay would have placed a financial burden on my family as my husband would have had to take unpaid leave to care for them.
According to the Consumer Guarantees Act, I am entitled to compensation for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation. The Act specifies that compensation may amount to 10 times the price of the ticket or the actual cost of the delay, whichever is lower. Given that the reason for cancellation was due to operational issues, for which the airline is at fault, I am seeking compensation for the cost of my replacement flight. Can Jetstar please confirm that this compensation will be processed, and I will provide my bank details accordingly for payment.

Hello,
I purchased a flight from Bali to Cairns on 06/12/[redacted] through Edreams with reservation number YK86GM (Jetstar JQ91). I received an email regarding changes to my flight, but I have not received any specific information. Surprisingly, my partner, who is on the same flight, had their date changed to 06/11/[redacted]. I attempted to check my flight status on the Jetstar website using reservation number YK86GM, but it indicates that it does not exist. I am eager to confirm the status and date of my flight.

Hello,
I am scheduled to travel to New Zealand from June 12 to 18 from Australia (where I am on a student visa). My passport expires on September 10 this year. I would like to know if entering the country would be an issue with less than three months validity on my passport. According to the Spanish Government of Foreign Affairs website, it is mandatory for the passport to be valid for at least one month upon leaving the country, but three months is recommended. Would there be any problem entering the country with less than three months validity on my passport?
The Spanish government's website states that for tourist and transit purposes, Spanish passport holders may enter New Zealand without a visa but should have a passport valid for at least one month upon leaving the country. However, it is recommended to have a passport valid for more than three months upon departing from New Zealand.
Thank you, Regards.

Hello, my daughter Bethany O. is scheduled to travel from Bali to Sydney today on the delayed flight JQ38, departing at 10:35 pm on June 22nd. Unfortunately, this delay will cause her to miss the connecting flight JQ119 from Sydney to Nadi. We have instructed her to go to the airport to try to rearrange her flight. Is there anyone who can assist her with this matter? Can she speak to a representative before checking in? Thank you, Sam O.

I booked a flight for the 8th of March with the return flight being free. The ticket prices were approximately $65 and $55 respectively, totaling $[redacted] including fare, GST, and booking fees. However, upon checking my reference booking, it appears that only one ticket is showing for a person named Wayne Henderson, although I made the booking myself. I am usually quite familiar with the booking process and have booked tickets numerous times, so I am confused by this discrepancy. My husband's name is Wayne Henderson, but I completed the booking. I am also a Jetstar member, possibly under my maiden name Sharon Pope. I would like clarification on whether there is indeed only one ticket reserved, as there should be two as per my booking. Thank you for your assistance.

I am extremely frustrated with Jetstar. I have raised numerous complaints via phone and live chat, with promises of resolution, only to repeat the story multiple times. The case ID is [redacted]0 regarding being charged for hand luggage after receiving incorrect information from a Jetstar representative at the airport. I am requesting a refund of $65 to be returned to my account. It's a straightforward issue of being misinformed and the unfair inconsistency in weighing everyone's hand luggage.

Hello,
I was advised by the Canadian Consulate in Canberra about my passport. It got slightly damaged by water, affecting the photo page. The consulate believes it's still usable for travel, but recommended contacting Jetstar. I have a JetStar flight JQ43 booked for Denpasar on 11th August [redacted]. Will I be allowed to board with this passport?
Thank you,
Sarah

During our family trip in Cairns, my nephew unfortunately passed away on 17.07.23. He was scheduled to fly with his wife and two sons from Cairns to Sydney on 23.06.23. Contacting customer service over the phone was extremely distressing and unhelpful. We needed to change the flights to 26.07.23 due to his cremation on 24.07.23 in Cairns, and his family carrying his ashes. Despite explaining our situation, Jetstar insisted on issuing a voucher in my nephew's name, requiring him to be the contact person. Given that his family resides in the USA and will not be coming back to Australia, we requested the $[redacted] from the cancelled ticket be transferred to cover the new flights. However, we were informed that a flight voucher would be issued in his name within 3-5 business days.

Dear Jetstar,
I am writing to address my concerns regarding the refund I was approved for on June 30, [redacted]. Despite the promise of receiving the refund within 7-15 business days, after checking my account, I have yet to see the refund reflected. As of August 18, the refund has not been processed. My recent interaction with a Jetstar customer service agent on August 17 left me feeling dissatisfied with the level of service provided. The experience highlighted a lack of care for customers by Jetstar. Despite my simple and polite request for a refund, I was met with unhelpful responses and a lack of knowledge from multiple representatives. This left me feeling frustrated and without a resolution. I hope Jetstar can address these service issues and improve the customer experience. My booking number is NIVG2G, and I trust that Jetstar will rectify the situation promptly.

I am hoping for assistance on 1/9. After spending nearly an hour with online chat with Roselyn Abbegale, it was finally agreed that I would receive a monetary refund of $[redacted]. My bank details were provided. Two weeks later (yesterday), I contacted Jetstar. Twice, the consultant did not understand my issue, put me on hold, and eventually the call got disconnected. I am a pensioner and due to health reasons, I cannot travel alone. I have also submitted a medical certificate.
