In [redacted], I bought a New Honda Fit hatchback with VIN #3HGGK5H58FM760108 from Fenton Honda in Longview, TX. The purchase was partly financed by American Honda Finance Corporation ("AHFC"). All payments were made by the end of [redacted]. Recently, I tried to sell the car to Don Carlton Honda in Tulsa, OK, where I now live. However, there is still a lien from AHFC on the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles records. To proceed with the sale, I require a clear Texas title, which needs "an original signed release of lien on company letterhead from American Honda Finance Corp." I do not possess this document and ask for it to be sent to my address at [redacted] East 54th Street, # [redacted], Tulsa, OK [redacted].

I attempted several times last week to access my online account to make a payment without success. The system would not reset, instructing me to reset my username or password but then not allowing it. It is frustrating that Honda's website is causing these issues, and I can see from others' complaints that I am not alone in facing such challenges. Since the website does not display a contact number, I had to resort to making a phone payment after finding the number on GetHuman. There seems to be a significant delay in receiving responses as I am still waiting for a reply to an email I sent to Honda last week. Despite being informed that I could change my payment due date, the lack of accessibility is hindering this process.

My wife's car got a chunk of paint taken out from a door ding and we also ran over a weed whacker on the highway possibly damaging the front bumper. We need an estimate to decide whether to file an insurance claim. The dealership doesn't accept our insurance (USAA) and only replaces whole bumpers, not doing spot paint corrections. They charge for estimates, which doesn't work for us. Where can we get a recognized estimate on Oahu for American Honda leasing? If over $[redacted], we'll likely file a claim, but if less, we want an estimate honored by American Honda. Where can we get this done?

I heard that Honda has stopped allowing lease renewals for their cars. Can someone confirm if this is accurate? I had a distressing encounter at Apple Honda in Riverhead, Long Island, New York, on August 17 while leasing a new Honda. Sadly, the experience was not professional or honest. Despite a flyer advertising a lease for $[redacted] per month with $[redacted] due at signing, I am being charged $[redacted].45 monthly and made a $3,[redacted] deposit. I want to share the detailed events of my visit to Honda on August 17, [redacted]. I feel overcharged, and I miss my Honda with less than 4,[redacted] miles. If anyone can provide assistance, please reach out to me. Thank you, Louise B.

In May, I purchased a new Honda FIT and financed it through Honda Financial Services. Unfortunately, my car was totaled in an accident on June 23rd. Despite making my July payment, in August, I was informed by a Honda Care representative that the outstanding balance and deductible would be covered. However, Honda Financial Services has now reported me as delinquent to credit agencies for missing payments. When I contact Honda, representatives keep placing me on hold to look into the issue, but none have provided me with a clear explanation or resolution.

I need my payment due date changed to the 28th of every month. After speaking with one of your customer service representatives, I was told the date could be adjusted once the full payment was made. Recently, I discovered that a payment of $[redacted] was mistakenly sent to the wrong account back in August [redacted] and eventually returned to MoneyGram by Honda, but I was not informed about this until last Friday, September [redacted]. I believe I should still be eligible for the 28th of every month deadline, as it aligns better with my other financial obligations which occur on the same day. Juggling payments for both vehicles over the past four months has been a challenge that I have been managing.

I purchased a Honda Accord EXL [redacted] from Honda of McKinney in Texas. During the negotiation and signing process, I was expecting the promotional interest rate of 1.9% or 2.9% as discussed with the salesperson, Kevin. However, upon signing the documents, I discovered that I was charged a 5.9% interest rate without prior notification. I would like to inquire if there is a way to apply the promotional interest rate to my vehicle purchase.

Dear Honda Financial Services,
I recently purchased a Honda [redacted] Passport from Norm Reeves Honda in Huntington Beach, California on 02/26/[redacted]. However, I experienced severe lumbar and spinal pain due to some issue with the vehicle and went back the next day to address it. Despite my attempts to exchange it for another car and concerns raised about the paperwork, they refused. The car sits at DCH Honda in Oxnard, California, marked for voluntary repossession. I have already lost $[redacted] in cash down payment and have opted to return the car. Due to the discomfort, I have ceased insurance coverage. Kindly guide me on where to send the keys or if I should return them to DCH Honda. I suggest a thorough inspection of the vehicle for any structural flaws. Your prompt attention to this matter would be appreciated. I can be reached at [redacted]
Thank you,
Chris Miles

Dear Honda Financial Services,
I purchased a Honda [redacted] Passport from Norm Reeves Honda in Huntington Beach, California on 02/26/[redacted]. The very next day, I returned to the dealer to report issues with the vehicle causing significant lumbar and spinal pain. I also mentioned that the finance representative, Hunter, processed the sales paperwork incorrectly. Despite my requests for an exchange, the finance manager, James Parker, declined and opted to inspect the car for problems. They claimed to find none, but the discomfort persisted. I have decided to return the car as a voluntary repossession to DCH Honda in Oxnard, California, where it currently sits. I have already purchased another vehicle. The lack of cooperation from Norm Reeves Honda in addressing this matter has been disappointing. I have canceled the insurance on the car and am willing to return the keys as needed. You can contact me at [redacted] The VIN number of the car is #5FNYF7H2XKB001452.

I received a payoff quote valid through 4/13/19. Even though my financial institution mailed the check on 4/8/19, Honda did not cash it until 4/22/19. The additional money they are now requesting for the payoff is being disputed. The USPS confirmed that the check should have arrived within 5 days, traveling from Utica, NY to MA. I believe it wasn't my fault, my financial institution's fault, or the postal service's fault that the check wasn't cashed until 4/22/19.

Good afternoon. I have been waiting for a long time on the phone without any response. This is regarding my payment for the CR-V [redacted]. I filled out my online payment account on June 8, [redacted], and made a payment of $[redacted].52 for Acct #[redacted]79 of my CR-V [redacted], which was due on June 11, [redacted]. However, the amount has not been deducted from my checking account yet. There might be an error in posting the payment to my bank account. I need assistance to ensure that the payment is deducted correctly. I have already visited Honda Hollywood on Saturday, June 15, [redacted], and they advised me to contact a representative to address the payment issue with my bank account. I have not paid the $[redacted].52 yet and I want to fulfill my obligation. Please help me resolve this matter.

Regarding Kenneth M. Brown's account number [redacted]56, we received a bill claiming a past due fee of $[redacted].68 in September, which is inaccurate. Our bank statement from Triangle Credit Union in Nashua NH shows the check to Honda Financial Services was cashed on September 5, [redacted].
Your mistake has lowered our credit score to [redacted], which is disappointing. I request confirmation that you have contacted the credit services to rectify the error promptly to restore our credit score. Additionally, please adjust our account to remove the $11.28 late payment fee.

I reached out to the HMC CEO online about six weeks ago to explain my challenges with my car payments and the lack of satisfactory responses from HFS customer service. Despite not receiving any acknowledgement or response, I am writing again in hopes of hearing back from a high-ranking officer at HMC who could assist me. I am a 70-year-old disabled individual, and my wife, who is my caregiver, is unable to work outside the home. Dealing with financial issues resulting from a stroke and breast cancer, as well as a recent bank account hacking incident, has made it impossible for me to make my October payment due to a negative balance. I am seeking assistance from HFC and would greatly appreciate a call back from the appropriate person at [redacted]. Thank you, Albert J.

I leased a [redacted] Honda in April [redacted] with [redacted] miles. I bought the road warranty but had to replace 2 tires. The dealer couldn't confirm if the warranty would cover a pro-rated price. I'm frustrated by the situation. The dealership changed hands from Honda of Santa Monica to Honda Santa Monica, and I'm unsure how that affects my contract and warranty.

I purchased a [redacted] Ridgeline on January 8th, [redacted]. Within 2 to 3 weeks of owning the car, I misplaced both sets of keys and key fobs. It cost me approximately $[redacted] to have the truck towed to the dealership and to get two new keys made. Unfortunately, a few months later, one of the key sets went missing again. Between May and July [redacted], I was using the truck with only one set of keys which also had my house, garage, and other keys attached. I am wondering if there is any way to locate my lost fobs and keys. I've heard about a company offering an intella-key or smart key - does Honda provide something similar? Spending around $[redacted] on towing, keys, and fobs is quite a sum. Any advice on finding the lost ones would be appreciated.

I've been trying to contact financial services, but the long wait times of over an hour are frustrating. It's disappointing that no one was available at customer services, and the Ohio offices were unable to assist me. My husband recently passed away on October 26th, and he owned an Accord Touring with account number [redacted]09. I made the November payment amidst everything that was going on. However, I can't afford the $[redacted] monthly payment without Donald's income. Given my circumstances, I may need to get a new car, but I'm unsure how to proceed. I understand that a death certificate will be required, but I'm seeking guidance on what steps to take next. I hope to receive some assistance with this matter.
Thank you,
Judith Arthur

For the past 20 years, Honda Financial has been the company handling my lease payments. However, in the last year, I must express my disappointment in the declining quality of service. I have encountered significant issues with the customer service lately, and it seems challenging to find someone willing to address and resolve these problems effectively.
Recently, when I made an online payment, I noticed an additional charge that I cannot account for. Given my consistent history of timely payments, this unexpected charge raises concerns. Despite my attempts to reach out via phone, I have been unable to connect with a representative for clarification. As my next payment is due on December 18th, I feel reluctant to proceed with it until the matter is satisfactorily resolved. It's evident that I am not alone in facing these difficulties, as several other customers seem to share similar concerns.

Vehicle: [redacted] Honda CR-V
Topic: Payment Inquiry
Issue:
Greetings, I am close to completing the financing for my [redacted] Honda CR-V. Over the past few months, I have observed an additional charge of about $20 on my monthly statement payments. I have thoroughly reviewed my payments to ensure this increase isn't due to any other factors and even adjusted a payment to make it an even amount, but unfortunately, I continue to incur this mystery charge on my statements.

I am experiencing challenges obtaining a license plate for my leased vehicle. When I acquired my latest vehicle through a lease, the dealer was supposed to transfer the plate from my previous vehicle, but this was not done. The dealer claims they cannot proceed as the finance company should initiate the transfer. Unfortunately, Honda Finance is refusing to do so, stating that the dealer is responsible. My old plate has expired, leading to me getting pulled over twice. Law enforcement suggested getting a new plate, but I encountered issues online as it requires paying sales taxes, which should not be necessary for a lease. The Department of Transportation requests proof of ownership to issue a plate; I believe Honda Financial should possess this information and could send it to the DOT. However, I am unable to reach them as they are not answering their phone. I am seeking guidance on how to properly license my vehicle.

My mother passed away in September [redacted], leaving behind a [redacted] Honda Accord with an outstanding balance. I, Crystal G. Brown, her daughter and sole heir, inherited the car and took over payments. Due to financial struggles during the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges like identity theft, I fell behind on payments. Sadly, Honda repossessed and sold the car, claiming there was an overpayment on my mother's account. They issued a check in her name, which I tried to cash using a small estate affidavit, but my bank couldn't process it. I am seeking Honda's assistance in reissuing the check in my name, as I am the sole heir with the necessary documentation. I hope Honda can address this matter promptly. Thank you for your attention.
