I recently stayed at your Scarborough, Maine location on Southborough Drive. My wife and I received a gift certificate from Hotels.com and decided to visit Portland for the first time. Not being frequent travelers, we were excited for a getaway. While we appreciated the pet-friendly policy, we were unaware of the implications. Despite staying in a lovely suite, my wife developed allergy symptoms and had difficulty sleeping due to finding a tick in the room. When discussing this with the front desk, we were informed that the hotel is pet-friendly throughout. I suggested having specific rooms for guests with allergies and was disappointed in the lack of clarity on this policy. The response about ticks being common during the season was unsatisfactory, and the hotel's approach to the situation left me dissatisfied. I had hoped for better understanding and accommodation regarding allergies and pests. Although I plan to revisit Portland, I will choose alternative accommodations in the future.
