I am frustrated about being automatically charged for a magazine subscription without my consent. This seems to be a common issue, causing inconvenience and surprise charges. The lack of renewal notices is disappointing and the significantly higher amount is unfair. Cancelling over the phone only to wait 48 hours for it to be reflected in my account is inconvenient. This kind of business practice is unacceptable and disrespectful to customers.

I was automatically enrolled for Women's Health in December, and I can see the charge of $10.93 on my credit card statement dated 12/20/19. I would like to cancel this subscription since I have not received any magazines in the last 6 months, except for the initial one in April [redacted]. I have already contacted Hearst Magazine about missing issues, yet the problem persists. On a positive note, I have received a gift subscription of Women's Health from my spouse and look forward to starting a new subscription shortly. This cancellation request pertains to my previous account with the magazine. The account number is WHL[redacted]/0#.

I have been a loyal subscriber to Good Housekeeping for many years, but lately, I have not received any issues. I did not cancel my subscription. Recently, I received a mail offer to subscribe to both Good Housekeeping and Woman's Day for $15 for 2 years, and I am interested in this deal. However, on the offer notice, there is a credit adjustment of $61.80. I am unsure if this is related to the missing issues I never received. It seems that only the Woman's Day order was processed on the order confirmation, and I was charged $2.00 for it. I am a big fan of Good Housekeeping, so my primary interest is in receiving those issues. Can someone please clarify the situation for me? Thank you for your assistance.

On January 18, I purchased exercise programs on the Hearst site but quickly changed my mind. I contacted Customer Service to cancel my orders and was advised to follow up in a few days before shipping. I no longer want the items and am seeking a refund for the $54+ Get Fit 10-Day Full Kit DVD set and the $30+ Get Fit Transformation DVD. I have also informed my credit card company. Please cancel these orders, do not ship them, and refund my money. I have made multiple calls to request cancellation, with the first call placed within 30 minutes of ordering. Thank you. Elizabeth

In October [redacted], I got an offer to receive a sample issue of "Prevention" along with 12 free reports. Unfortunately, I was billed twice prior to receiving the magazine. The content of the magazine did not meet my expectations, so I decided to cancel my order. Despite that, I have not yet received the promised free reports. When inquired, I was informed that I needed to subscribe to receive them, contrary to the initial advertisement. Due to this experience, I have now canceled all my magazine subscriptions with this company and will inform others about the lack of follow-through on their advertised deals.

I received an email from Car and Driver magazine and decided to subscribe to their mail. However, I started getting bills from Hearst magazine for a Car and Driver subscription that I did not order. The information they have on file seems outdated and the only accurate detail is my name. I did not request any subscription, yet I received a threatening email today stating it's the final notice. If necessary, I will take legal action and hire a lawyer to handle this issue with Hearst magazine regarding this apparent scam.

I received a subscription to Car & Driver to replace Autoweek when Autoweek transitioned to digital only. I requested a refund for my remaining Autoweek subscription by mailing a letter to Autoweek on 12/4/19. Following up with a call to Autoweek on 1/20/20, I was advised to contact Hearst if there was no response within a week. Contacting Hearst on 2/6/20, I provided an email address as requested and was promised a response within 2 weeks. However, it is now 2/18 and I have not heard back. Despite receiving 1 or 2 issues of Car & Driver, my Autoweek subscription was for 2 years, and I would like the remaining balance refunded, as indicated in the notification about Autoweek going digital-only.

I placed an order for Country Living yesterday (3/1) online. I chose the 2-year subscription for $15, but my confirmation email states I'm getting 1 year of Country Living for $10 and 1 year of House Beautiful for $5. Can you adjust my order to receive only Country Living for 2 years as originally intended? I'm not sure why it changed when I selected the 2-year option from the menu. Thank you, Kathy B.

I initially subscribed to Food Network Magazine when it first launched. However, I have not received an issue in over a year despite consistent payments. I have cancelled and restarted my subscription multiple times but have had no success in resolving the issue after speaking with the company several times. Recently, I attempted to order through a middle school fundraiser, hoping for better service, but faced the same problem – no magazine received despite them claiming it was delivered. Now, I received a renewal notice from Food Network Magazine, proving they can deliver to my address. It's disappointing, as I enjoy the content of the magazine. The service provided by Hearst Magazine Service, after taking over, has been disappointing and unreliable. It's a frustrating situation that has left me dissatisfied with their incompetence and lack of honesty.

I initially only wanted a one-year subscription, but unintentionally got charged for two years. I would like to cancel all three subscriptions for Good Housekeeping, Woman's Day, and VERANDA. I did not authorize any charges after the first year. Please remove these magazines from my account. Also, I have relocated from the address where the magazines are currently being sent. The address listed on my subscription is: Para S. at [redacted] W. Dublin Drive, Apt. [redacted], Madison, AL [redacted]. Kindly cease sending any further magazines. Thank you for your assistance. New address for Para S.: [redacted] Maree Drive, Athens, AL [redacted]. Please cancel the account. Thank you.

I saw a $5 subscription ad on Facebook for three magazines: Country Living, Marie Claire, and Prevention. However, when I selected the magazines and paid, I was charged more than $5 for two of them. I am disappointed by this deceptive ad and I am seeking a refund. I have tried calling but have not been able to reach anyone. Please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you. - SS

I keep noticing recurrent charges on my credit card that I can't explain. They appear to occur monthly, with this month's charge being $25.60. While I do receive Sports Illustrated, Eating Well, and Good Housekeeping magazines, I have been charged multiple times. Please inform me of any additional subscriptions under my name and proceed to cancel them promptly. My details are as follows: Michelle L., [redacted] Fans Rock Road, Hamden, CT [redacted].

This is the second or third instance where my magazine has been left on my lawn and ruined. The last time this happened, it took months to receive my past issues. Today, I found the current issue covered in mud and dirt due to heavy rain. I receive my other magazines through USPS without any issues. I would like to request a replacement for the May issue, and after that, I am considering canceling my subscription and exploring other delivery options.

I placed an order for 7 magazine subscriptions approximately 3 weeks ago, but I have yet to receive any of them. I am unsure of the shipping carrier; is it USPS? I have attempted to track my orders but have been unsuccessful. Any assistance in providing an update on my orders would be greatly appreciated.
Upon reviewing the status of my magazine subscriptions, I noticed that not all of them are for a one-year subscription. While all 7 orders were intended to be for a one-year subscription, only one order reflected receiving all 12 magazine issues. The other 6 orders only showed a portion of a year's worth of issues. I kindly request for this discrepancy to be investigated and resolved promptly. Thank you.

I noticed that I was mistakenly charged twice on my Visa for a House Beautiful subscription renewal. On April 30, [redacted], I received a renewal notice on my computer with an offer for 2 free gifts, which I do not wish to take advantage of. Believing that it was my renewal fee due, I responded to both notices within 20 minutes, only to realize I had already renewed my subscription successfully. My account number is [redacted]. I adore House Beautiful and wish to continue receiving it, but I would appreciate a refund for the duplicate charges on my Visa. Please reach out to me at [redacted] for further confirmation.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am hoping to contact someone at Hearst Magazines regarding a poem titled "First Born." This poem was penned by my father, Charles Gordon Rex, around the years [redacted] or [redacted] and was featured in Good Housekeeping Magazine. As we compile a collection of approximately [redacted] of my father's finest works for publication by a small press, we are keen on preserving his legacy for future generations of the Rex family. While this project is not driven by profit, having this poem included would hold immense sentimental value for us. As my father rarely sought to publish his poetry during his lifetime, my mother submitted this particular piece to Good Housekeeping Magazine out of affection for it. Given that both my parents have passed away, we are seeking permission to incorporate "First Born" in our forthcoming collection. We are open to acknowledging Hearst Magazines for allowing us to feature the poem. I am looking forward to connecting with someone who handles historical copyright matters like this. Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
Charles Rex (Jr.)

I am requesting contact regarding the email below. I cannot find a phone number in the email, nor a receipt for my payment. Upon following the link, I logged into PayPal to pay $5USD but was charged $33 instead. Based on our exchange rate, this seems incorrect. After the payment confirmation, I received two more emails thanking me for $33USD, which was unexpected.
The original email promised Men's Health subscription for $5 with free shipping, a deal I accepted. I have also emailed [redacted] over 24 hours ago with no reply.
I urgently need a call to clarify this situation and arrange a full refund to my account. Looking forward to resolving this matter promptly.

Hello,
I want to thank you for consistently sending me my favorite magazine, O Magazine, over the years. I am reaching out to check the status of my subscription. Last November [redacted], I believed I had renewed my subscription through May [redacted], but I continued to receive renewal notices. Today is May 30, and I have not yet received my June [redacted] edition, which I typically would have by now. I suspect there may have been an issue with my November payment. I am currently reviewing the date on my last received magazine (May [redacted]) which is marked as "May20 Feb22." I am unsure if this signifies the end of my subscription or not. I'm uncertain if I mistakenly purchased an unnecessary additional subscription. Could you please clarify if I need to pay for another year or if I have accidentally double-paid for the same subscription?
Thank you for your assistance with this matter.
Best regards,
Katherine H. [redacted]

My horseshoe contest prize resulted in a second subscription to Country Living, which I did not sign up for. I want to cancel this immediately. If this isn't resolved promptly, I will not hesitate to contact the NYS Attorney General about these deceptive practices. Thank you.
