I recently purchased two Savage Mod. 99 rifles on GunBroker. I paid by bank check for one, which was cashed. However, after trying to arrange shipping with the supposed seller, my local FFL licensed gunsmith discovered the address given was for an insurance company that did not know the seller. GunBroker is currently reviewing the situation. The seller, James S. Dibetta of West Virginia, informed me he sold the gun to someone else but wants to hold onto my payment for some unknown reason, mentioning "due-diligence." The other rifle was paid for by credit card, but the seller, Collectors Firearms of Houston, claims they have no record of the transaction. I may need to pursue legal action if this issue is not resolved promptly.

I, Nicholas Hine Sr., participated in a shotgun auction on 2-5-21/2-6-21 on Gunbroker for a Tristar Viper Max auto loader from Zacchhe’s Gun Smithing in New York. The new black synthetic 12 gauge was supposed to be shipped to Sensibily Armed in Reading, PA by 2-8-21. However, as of 2-17-21, the gun has not arrived despite numerous attempts to contact the seller. I have reached out to Gunbroker for assistance but received unhelpful responses. Their customer service phone number has been of no use as the mailbox is full and there are no call backs. I can be reached at [redacted] for assistance. If the issue persists, I may need to involve the authorities.

Hello, I am encountering a problem with a seller. I have been attempting to purchase Item #:[redacted]61 from seller savminter. He is yet to send an invoice, and when I requested one, he instructed me to request an invoice through PayPal. Given his poor English skills, I am beginning to suspect this might be a scam. I would appreciate assistance either in paying for the item or canceling the order. Our conversation went as follows: Me: Hello, I am interested in paying for this item. Please let me know how to proceed. Thank you. savminter: Hello, place an order and I will send you a PayPal invoice for payment. Me: Hello, I am not comfortable sending a PayPal request. Could you please send an invoice through Gun Broker so I can make the payment promptly? If not possible, please cancel the order.

I am unable to refund your order at this moment. I will reach out to PayPal to facilitate your refund. The funds are being held due to your claim against me. Kindly avoid using PayPal if you are unfamiliar with it. I will process your refund once PayPal completes the transaction. Please, do not send any more money." This message was received from PayPal after Eric contacted them regarding a transaction for ammunition, which PayPal had already informed me they would not support due to its firearm-related nature.

I need help canceling Gunbroker.com live auction number [redacted]33. I need to cancel due to selling the item in a previous auction, [redacted]17, where the buyer was from California, and the item could not be sold there due to state regulations regarding the number of magazines included. The winning bidder of the second auction, [redacted]33, is a Law Enforcement officer from California who is legally allowed to purchase the item. Hi, I would appreciate some assistance. I submitted a help request a few days ago regarding a seller who is charging exceedingly high shipping rates, sometimes equal to or greater than the items' bid prices. After contacting the seller and learning that the high shipping fees are how they make extra money when bids are lower than expected, I was taken aback. My bid stands at $[redacted].00, and the $[redacted].00 shipping cost is far above the usual rates, bringing the total to $[redacted].00. I've reached out to the seller to retract my bids as this pricing is unreasonable compared to the standard $38.00 shipping rate for similar items on Gun Broker. I've been a loyal customer for years and have never encountered such inflated shipping costs. The auction is ending soon, and I've noticed a suspicious new bid matching mine, which seems peculiar given the situation. I suspect foul play. I am unwilling to pay the exaggerated shipping costs and may consider leaving Gun Broker due to this issue tarnishing the platform's reputation. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I recently bought a handgun on Gunbroker (Item#: [redacted]72/Order#: [redacted]0). The seller requested a money order with next-day delivery, advising not to include their name. The seller's contact info differs from the provided details on Gunbroker. Initially, the auction allowed USPS Money Order or regular payment, but the seller insisted on Paypal or Zella instead. Since I don't have a Zella account, I agreed to use Paypal for a payment record. However, the seller now demands Zella payment. I feel unsure about this situation. With restricted access at work, I can't check the seller's history or feedback. Could you provide any advice?

Hello, I bid on an item a week ago and won it. The seller immediately shut down their account. I am new to this method of buying, so initially, I thought I did something wrong. Then, the seller started emailing me directly. I noticed the emails were not through the platform, but directly to my email. On the item posting, it mentioned the account being closed with a note saying, "Do not send money through GB." This alerted me that something was off. The seller persisted with emails, and even though I responded initially, I realized it was not safe to engage. I reported the incident to GB and forwarded all the emails but have not received a response yet. I hope GB will take action against this seller for their unfair practices. I really wanted the item I bid on. The lack of communication from GB is disappointing. Initially upset, now I am patiently waiting for a resolution. GB, please respond to me.

I won item #[redacted]81, order #[redacted]3 on May 22, [redacted]. I completed the process on Gunbroker, intending to pay with a Postal Money Order. I tried contacting the seller but couldn't leave a voicemail because the box was full. I emailed the seller on Monday, May 24, [redacted], informing them of the money order. After a week passed with no response, I followed up via email. The seller replied asking for the product information, to which I responded promptly. Despite this, I never heard back. Today, June 4, [redacted], I called again, but it went to voicemail. I left a message, yet it has been nearly two weeks since I made the payment. The seller is Coltman 52, known as David Ponseigo. Gunbroker Support Needed I am reaching out because I am experiencing an issue with a recent purchase I made on 7/4/21, listed as number [redacted]12. I have tried contacting Support via email but have not received a response. The seller, Richard Crosiers Fine Firearms, located at [redacted] Back Creek Rd. Waddy, KY, requested payment in the form of a USPSMO. I sent the payment via UPS on 7/7/21, but based on UPS tracking, it appears that the package is being returned to me. I have been unable to reach a live person at UPS thus far. I received one email from Matt, not the listed seller, who mentioned being out of town. The payment instructions indicated it should be made out to Nancy Noonan, identified as Rick Crosier’s sister in an obituary. I am unsure if my payment has been received. Despite my decade-long use of GunBroker and A+ rating, the lack of support in this matter is concerning. In April, my husband utilized an intermediary to order a gun through gunbrokers.com. I sent a $[redacted].00 money order for the purchase, but the gun dealer did not receive it. It became clear that this was a scam, and we lost money to a fraudulent seller who never had a gun. Upon further investigation, it came to light that the same individual also scammed another gun dealer in Indiana. Having been assured of the company's reliability and a reimbursement guarantee for up to $[redacted].00 in case of fraud (with a $[redacted].00 deductible), I trusted the transaction. Despite attempts to reach the seller being futile and gunbrokers.com failing to respond to complaints, I eventually reached out by mail in July, receiving no reply. A recent call to them also yielded no concrete response. This experience has been distressing, and I seek a refund for the lost funds, crucially saved money intended for the gun purchase. The lack of communication and accountability from gunbrokers.com is concerning, leading me to warn others about their dubious practices. My account has been compromised, and the hacker listed 4 guns for sale under my name. They changed my ID from crittergitterman to crittergitters1950 and altered other profile information, including the contact email. They are now asking for payment to be sent to a different person. I have taken the step of locking my credit card, but that's all I can do from my end. All 4 buyers have reached out to me, providing me with significant information. Interestingly, the hacker failed to update the phone number associated with the account. My best contact number remains my landline at [redacted], and my email remains [redacted]

The notice mentioned that I should contact support to have my account reviewed and that it could take up to 48 hours. I followed the instructions and requested a review as I am unsure about the reason behind the lock. However, it has been over 48 hours now, and I have not received any updates or information. I would appreciate it if someone could clarify the situation and unfreeze/unlock my account promptly.

I have recently been purchasing multiple firearms on Gunbroker. I use Big Daddy Guns in Gainesville, FL as my receiving FFL, and I usually send their FFL via email. Gunbroker seems to not have Big Daddy's FFL on file and keeps providing an incorrect mailing address, causing vendors to ship to the wrong location. The incorrect address belongs to the old Corporate Headquarters, while the correct one is [redacted] NW 75 St, Suite D, Gainesville, FL. The incorrect address - 69xx 22 St, G'ville - is causing a lot of issues. Could the correct address be updated or the incorrect address removed from the system?
