I need help setting up a new VOIP phone in my home office. The phone shares the same number as my office line. Both phones should ring simultaneously. I have Google Fiber at home, and my business line (Polycom VVX [redacted]) is with Consolidated Communications. Even after plugging the home phone into the Ethernet port of the fiber box/router, the phone doesn't work. Consolidated mentioned that Google Fiber must activate the SIP ALG settings, but the fiber box doesn't seem to allow this. The home phone isn't receiving an IP address. I'm looking for suggestions on how to make this setup function, possibly involving a different router, switch, or network provider. Thank you for any assistance. - D. D.

Last March [redacted], we experienced slow internet speeds. A technician visited, mentioning a router replacement. Despite the change, the issue persisted. In May, another technician found bent external wires and replaced the router, assuring a speed improvement within 24 hours. However, tests still showed slow speeds of [redacted] MBPS download and [redacted].6 MBPS upload. I am dissatisfied with these recurring problems after 14 months of patience. How many attempts are needed to resolve this issue effectively?

I am extremely frustrated because we have been without service for almost 24 hours. My daughter, who works from home, missed two days of work due to this issue. We did not receive any prior notification about the service being down. This has happened before with Google Fiber, and it is impacting our ability to watch TV and for my kids to do their homework without using up our phone data. I would appreciate some form of reimbursement for the lost time and inconvenience this has caused. I hope to receive a response from you soon and not be ignored. Thank you.
