I want to share my experience with Freedom Debt Relief. When I first talked to Daniel Asner, a certified Debt Consultant, on August 16, [redacted], he pressured me to enroll in the program by making false promises about improving my credit score. However, he failed to mention the high settlement fees and the consequences with some of my other credit cards. He rushed me through signing the agreement without explaining it properly. Despite contacting different representatives later, I received conflicting information about the program. Throughout my enrollment, my creditors aggressively contacted me, but FDR advised me to ignore them. I later discovered that FDR couldn't work with some of my creditors, which led to more complications. After a settlement with Bank of America, FDR charged me a high fee without my knowledge. They failed to make the payment, resulting in negative effects on my credit score. Feeling misled and frustrated, I eventually canceled the program in December [redacted], only receiving a partial refund and experiencing a significant drop in my credit score.

I have minimal funds and cannot afford to pay $[redacted].00 monthly. I've decided to file for bankruptcy with an attorney to address the situation. Please refrain from deducting $[redacted].00 from my checking account starting January 1st, as I am opting for a different approach. I will inform the bank accordingly. Thank you for understanding. No need to call to discuss, as my decision is final.

I encountered an issue with one of your agents, Carrie Laughlin, on the evening of 9/12/22. Initially, I responded to your ad and began filling out some information but changed my mind. Shortly after, I received a call from your company and was connected with Carrie.
I decided to listen since I was already on the call. I mentioned my desire to handle my credit card debt and was looking into a loan. Although I expressed I wasn't interested in consolidation, she proceeded to discuss it and belittle me about my debt and income levels, indicating I wouldn't qualify for a loan due to my low income.
I find it extremely disrespectful that she made assumptions about my financial situation and spoke condescendingly, especially considering my status as a retired disabled veteran with limited income. Following that interaction, I am considering filing for bankruptcy. I urge you to address this matter with her appropriately.
