I recently had an issue with FPL turning on the service at the wrong address. The correct address has now been updated, and the erroneous one should be removed from my account soon. The representative assured me that the $85 I initially paid to set up service will be transferred to the correct account. However, I am eager to receive the deposit refund, but I prefer to ensure the $85 credit is processed before proceeding with any additional payments. I would appreciate assistance in resolving this matter promptly so I can settle my bill accordingly.

I made a payment for my bill on October 3rd online, using a checking account that was recently closed due to unauthorized access. I've updated my account details with a new checking account, but my FPL account shows a balance of zero, which is inaccurate. I'm trying to settle my bill, but it seems that the payment has not been received by FPL. My account number is [redacted]. Thank you. R. LaRock

I was advised that utilizing automatic payments would eliminate the need for an additional security deposit. Despite setting up automatic payments, my required payment did not get processed, resulting in a warning of disconnection unless I paid over $[redacted]. I made the payment last week, but it has not been deducted from my account yet. I seek clarification regarding my Florida Power and Light account, as well as an explanation for why the security deposit was necessary despite setting up automatic payments.

I recently submitted a claim to FPL regarding a damaged compressor on my 3-year-old Trane HVAC covered by their surge protection policy. A conversation with a representative left me feeling frustrated as they required a photo of the damaged compressor, which I couldn't provide as the failure was due to power surges showing only in the failure codes. After enduring over a month without A/C awaiting the replacement part, I reached out to my Trane dealership who mentioned there hadn't been issues with similar claims for surge damage when the surge protection was in place. I possess two of FPL's surge protection products, one for electronics and the other for larger equipment. It's essential for me that FPL honors their product, and I am considering resubmitting my claim based on feedback from the dealership that denial of such claims is unusual.

I sent my payment to FPL on October 10th along with payments to other vendors, but the FPL check and others have not cleared yet. If I pay FPL now and the check arrives later, how can I avoid paying the September bill twice? I am on Social Security and cannot afford a double payment, but I want to avoid any issues. Please review my payment history on this account and any other account dating back 30 years. Thank you.

My account was closed on January 25th, but last week I received an email stating that I owe $[redacted].14 for this account. Following the account closure, it was transferred to 33 West Apartments, the company I was leasing from. Since January 25th, the FPL bills have been paid monthly through 33 West Apartments, who then remit the payment to FPL. FPL has confirmed that despite the account closure, payments were still processed through 33 West Apartments as the intermediary, and all monthly payments were received. I seek clarification on why I am being double charged despite the payments already being made, and the origin of this unexpected charge on a closed account.

I am a resident presently residing in Fort Lauderdale, FL, specifically in the Lauderdale Lakes area near 43rd Ave. off Oakland Park on State Road 7. I want to bring to your attention the activities of an individual who is approximately 6'6" tall and drives a white FPL truck resembling the size of a Dodge truck, bearing license plate GEN [redacted] and truck number [redacted]. This person frequently parks the truck for extended periods, sometimes up to 2 hours, by the Preparation School, creating a potential hazard and obstructing other residents from accessing or emptying their garbage. Despite no visible work being done in the area, he regularly appears to drop off what seems to be significant amounts of street copper wire, amounting to hundreds of dollars. This behavior has been ongoing for a while, prompting me to address the matter.

The electrical box outside my house, containing the [redacted] amp main breaker, has corroded with a hole on top that could let rainwater inside. I need to know if FPL will cover the replacement or if I am responsible for it.

Hello, I recently requested to transfer my home service to a new location within the same area. The service has successfully been established at the new location. However, the original closing date for the old house was extended, causing the service there to be disconnected prematurely. As we still have tasks to complete at the old house, we need the service to be reconnected temporarily to facilitate this process, which we can only do in the evenings due to work commitments. Is there any possibility to have the service reinstated for a few more days to allow us to finalize our move and cleaning?

Last month, my bill was $93.33, and this month it is $[redacted].57. I'm puzzled about the increase, especially since my air conditioner isn't working. I live in a [redacted] sq ft. condo, and only have the lights on in my kitchen, using LED bulbs. I have a small fan, rarely use my TV due to an overheating cable box from a building upgrade, and own a refrigerator and toaster oven. I charge my cell phone and use a laptop that I unplug at night. Recently, a hose from the washing machine caused soapy water to flood my kitchen due to drilling in the parking lot, resulting in a slip and a concussion. I've been dealing with health issues and unable to work.

I own two properties. The first one is my residence at 20 Lagoon Way, Palm Coast FL [redacted]. My account number for this property is [redacted]. The second house is currently occupied by a tenant who is moving out on Wednesday, 11/15/23. The tenant informed me they have cancelled the electricity service from that date. On 11/3/23, I called FPL and explained that I wanted to keep the power on at my second house and have it added to my account effective 11/15. I received an email on 11/4 from FPL confirming the additional account, but I can't locate it online, and I haven't been able to reach a representative for assistance. How can I resolve this issue with FPL?

Hello,
I recently discovered that someone unauthorized closed my FPL account without my knowledge. The individuals renting my property interfered with my mail and posed as me to contact FPL, resulting in the cancellation of my account.
Upon realizing the account closure, I contacted FPL and encountered difficulties. I am troubled by the fact that they verified the account based solely on the total of the last bill, information that could easily be obtained by anyone viewing a FPL bill.
I believe this situation constitutes fraud and am seeking assistance in resolving this matter promptly.

My automatic payment was recently suspended because of insufficient funds. Due to an error with my Chase Visa account, the bank withdrew all my money at once, causing delays in resolution. In addition, when I reset my bank account for automatic bill pay for FPL, I accidentally transposed two numbers.
I kindly ask for immediate access to online bill pay. Thank you! :)

I recently moved to [redacted] Country Club Drive Apt [redacted] in Margate, FL [redacted] and have noticed that my electricity bill is significantly higher than my neighbors. At my previous address, I had more electrical appliances connected including a washer, dishwasher, dryer, three TVs, a refrigerator, and a PC. However, at my new address, I only have one TV which is rarely used, a PC, and no other appliances. Despite having fewer items connected, my bill is almost double what my neighbors are paying, all of whom pay less than $[redacted] per month. I suspect there may be a discrepancy or someone else might be using my electrical system. I kindly request a review of my account to address this issue promptly. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Ernesto Divas

I enrolled in Auto Pay in September. The charges on the recent statements are unclear. I've been on hold for over 35 minutes without speaking to anyone. The upcoming balance for the late November statement seems unusually high. I need a billing representative to contact me for clarification. You can reach me at [redacted] or on my cell at [redacted].

We recently installed solar panels on our roof about 3 1/2 weeks ago. I scheduled for the second installation, but no one has shown up yet. I understand the weather might be causing delays. I'm just looking for an update on when to expect the installation. Also, we are switching our bank account from Fifth Third. When you call back, I will provide you with the new account numbers for future debits.

I had solar panels installed on my roof about 3 to 4 weeks ago. I was informed that a technician would come within 8 to 10 days to either change the meter or install a 2nd one for monitoring usage and what I was sending back to FPL. Despite my conversation with an FPL representative, no service technician has shown up after about six days. I am curious about the timeline for completing this major installation. I look forward to your response and appreciate your attention to this matter.

Good afternoon,
I have a current account for my mom in Hialeah, FL, and have had FPL service for many years at my current address. As we are moving to St. Augustine, FL [redacted], I need to establish service at my new address without affecting my mom's account. I find online processes challenging and would appreciate speaking to a representative to address my concerns. I am looking to open a new account either today or tomorrow, with power needed by Wednesday. Thank you for your assistance.

I am in urgent need of speaking with a representative at Florida Light and Power. Previously, I have successfully reached a live person on the phone. However, I am currently facing an issue with a $[redacted] bill for two months that I cannot comprehend. I require an itemized breakdown, and it is crucial that I connect with a live agent instead of an automated system. My electricity is scheduled to be disconnected tomorrow, and I will be able to settle the bill on Friday. I am unsure if timing matters, but I have two children and this situation is distressing. Please assist me in reaching a representative promptly to resolve this matter.
