I am looking for information about our stepfather's situation. He is in the care of my husband and sister-in-law due to his dementia. We are wondering if Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida provides coverage for ambulance transport for dementia patients. I heard from a friend that her mother, in a similar situation, does not have to pay for ambulance services for hospital transfers. Can you confirm if this is the case with our insurance provider and explain the process to access this benefit?

My wife and I are UK citizens, and we have recently received our US immigrant visas. We plan to enter the US in January to become lawful permanent residents. Can we begin the health insurance application with Florida Blue now during the open enrollment period so that it will be activated upon our arrival in the US to provide us with coverage?
