I need to provide proof for Selective Service. I arrived in the USA last year as an asylum seeker and was granted asylum in June [redacted]. After receiving my social security, I applied to Selective Service but was told I was ineligible due to my age of 26. I have the necessary documents to prove my status. How can I email these documents to you for assistance?

I attempted to electronically sign my FAFSA, but as a dependent, I also need my parent's signature. My FSA ID allows me to sign it, yet my parent thinks she doesn't have an FSA ID account. When trying to create one, her information seems linked to an existing account, prompting her to use the "manage FSA ID" feature to resolve any issues, which she can't do without her username and password. We tried the phone and email methods with no success. Is there a way for her to retrieve her username and reset her password if she doesn't recall creating them? Alternatively, can the previous FSA ID be invalidated to create a new one?

As a parent, I attempted to log in for the fourth year in a row, facing the same issue each time. The system claims it does not recognize my login/password. Even after changing the password, I am still unable to access it. I verified my login information, but I am still locked out. I submitted the form without a parent electronic signature, only to be notified days later to complete it. Now, the system does not recognize my SSN, despite it being accurate in the login/pass code information screen. This online setup is incredibly frustrating, demanding an excessive amount of personal financial information for a system that is so flawed.

I am a parent currently working on completing a FAFSA application for my son, who will be a junior in the upcoming academic year. Despite him not having received any financial aid previously or having any outstanding student loans, given the current economic situation, we are considering applying for financial assistance through FAFSA this year.
After attempting to use the information from a FAFSA form submitted two years ago for his freshman year, I encountered an issue where the system prompted me to start from scratch due to the elapsed time. Upon trying to proceed with the application process and encountering a message stating that my email was associated with another account, I reached out for assistance. Following a chat session, it was suggested that I create a new email address since the current one seemed to be linked to another account. Despite trying various solutions, I am still facing difficulties in completing the form for submission.

I am reaching out regarding an issue I encountered at Great Basin College concerning my financial aid for the Fall Semester [redacted]. I mistakenly completed exit counseling on the FAFSA website which I now realize was premature as I plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in the Spring Semester [redacted]. I am requesting that this error be noted on my FAFSA account to avoid any impact on my current or future financial aid. If further clarification is needed, please contact me at [redacted] or via email at "[redacted]". Thank you.

Hello, my name is Reon Gillespie. I am a student at UIC and have been experiencing difficulties with my application process. This year, my application faced issues with the submit page, preventing my parents from signing in on the confirmation page. Despite ensuring that all information was accurate and matching, I had to resort to a temporary sign-in. Even after submitting a physical copy by mail with a confirmation number, my school has not acknowledged receiving the documents. I am seeking assistance in verifying if my application has been successfully processed in the system or guidance on the next steps to take. Thank you.

I set up an account as "abcoulson" a few months back, but postponed starting school until January. Unfortunately, my old phone broke and I got a new one with a different email and number. Subsequently, I created a new Fafsa account as "abc[redacted]" and mistakenly input the incorrect social security number. I now have the correct ssn but I am unable to update it in my new Fafsa application. I am seeking assistance, please help with this issue.

I need help with my parent's FAFSA account. I forgot their FAFSA ID password and when I tried to retrieve it, it said their email wasn't activated. I created their account a few years ago and might have forgotten to activate the email at that time. Is there a way to resend the activation link to their email address? Thank you.

Hello,
I recently received an email informing me that my parents need to provide a signature on my FAFSA. The email stated that they should have their own FSA ID to sign electronically. However, when they attempted to create one, they received an error message saying that the information was already associated with an account, even though they don't have any accounts on the site. Despite entering the correct ID and password, the system still did not authenticate the parent FSA ID. We are unsure why this issue is occurring and would appreciate your assistance in resolving it so they can provide the required signature.
Thank you.

I sent my parental signatures originally late October or early November. I updated my FAFSA application three times, but on the fourth update, it requested my parental signatures again. Although I submitted them about two weeks ago, my FAFSA application status still shows that the parental signatures are missing. I am unsure if the FAFSA office has received and is processing my signatures, as it usually takes 2-5 business days for them to do so.

I am unable to access my FAFSA account as I have forgotten my password and no longer have access to the original email. Approximately 2 years ago, I attempted to recover my account but did not complete the process. I have all the required documentation, but my account recovery is still pending due to the previous attempt. Unfortunately, I cannot find the email chain from the last time I tried to recover my account.

I have completed the entire application, but I am facing an issue when trying to submit it. Despite multiple attempts to submit my application after signing the final signature, an error occurs, sending me back to the login screen without submitting it.
I require assistance from a FAFSA site expert or employee to help me resolve the recurring error screen preventing the successful submission of my application.

My son, Drake Stevens, mistakenly entered his social security number incorrectly, leading to the creation of a new account. Unfortunately, his old account is now inaccessible, causing a mix-up with phone numbers. His personal number is linked to the old account, and my number is linked to his new account. I am attempting to switch these numbers, but upon trying to input my number, [redacted], I receive an error message stating that it is already in use. This issue is preventing me from obtaining a parental login to complete the signature process.

My son was not eligible for financial aid this year at Clemson as he is now considered an independent student. In [redacted], his gross income was $42,[redacted], and his taxable income was $30,[redacted]. I have a couple of questions:
1. What is the income threshold or criteria for independent students?
2. If we decide to have an accountant review his [redacted] tax return for possible amendments (we used TurboTax), and it is amended, will FAFSA be able to provide an updated assessment for Matthew for the [redacted]/[redacted] academic year?
We are trying to understand if this financial situation will be the new normal for his remaining two years at college. He lives with his dad, who is on disability when not in school.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I am N.D.K, a newly admitted student at George Washington University with the GWID G[redacted]7. I am reaching out regarding my student loan application (FAFSA) as I made an error due to my disability. I have been unable to work due to a spinal issue I have been battling for a decade, causing constant pain and emotional distress. Since arriving in the USA, I have been under the care of Dr. Clark for my spine problem, though I still struggle with it. I kindly request that my handicap be taken into account when processing my financial aid for my master's program at George Washington University.

I believed I had a full scholarship, but my university claims I owe them money. They are withholding my transcript because of this outstanding balance, making it difficult for me to transfer to another school. I am facing a roadblock as they are asking for over $10K, which is essentially all the money I have invested in my education. Despite my attempts, the university is not providing any further details or assistance in resolving this issue promptly. I am unsure if there is a problem with my FAFSA account, but I urgently need this situation rectified so I can transfer and continue my studies this semester.

I am currently in my second year of college, and my EASE grant was revoked due to my current GPA. I am looking for other financial aid options that are not loans. Last year was tough for my family due to Covid-related job loss and other hardships, causing a lot of stress and mental health issues for me. Despite my struggles, I had never let my grades slip until then. I noticed that my friend, whose GPA is lower than mine, had her aid reinstated, and I am unsure why. I would appreciate any information on how to appeal this decision. This situation is causing significant stress for me and my family. Without this aid, I may have to cut my college year short due to the financial challenges we faced last year.

I pay rent as an independent, but the FAFSA form does not have that option available. I live with two homeowners, and more than half of my income goes towards my rent, covering $[redacted] a month. I need to show proof of this arrangement, so what documents should I provide? If I have submitted the form incorrectly by indicating there are three in my household and that the homeowners depend on me for rent, how can I rectify this error? The form currently identifies me as a dependent, requesting my parents' information, even though they do not financially support my living or educational expenses. This situation is confusing, as I am self-reliant and do not rely on my parents for financial assistance.

My daughter has attempted to apply for the FASTA program three times with the assistance of the Student Aid Office at Western KY Tech School. Despite filling out all the necessary forms, the system keeps rejecting the application. We were originally told to wait a few days back in August. It's frustrating to encounter these issues. We completed the forms online at the Financial Aid Office at West KY Tech College in May and August, and again yesterday. Unfortunately, West KY Tech hasn't been able to provide much help, claiming they are unaware of the situation. My daughter, A.S., and I spent hours trying to submit the application yesterday. We urgently need this semester's tuition paid, and it's disheartening to witness funds going unclaimed due to this frustrating situation.
