I signed up and paid for a storage unit last month. The next day, I called to cancel it and was told I would only be refunded the monthly amount. I have not received the refund yet. Today, I noticed a $39 charge on my account, and when I inquired, the staff said they hadn't canceled my account and were unsure why. I urgently need to speak with someone as soon as possible. I demand an immediate refund of all my money. The unauthorized charge has caused me great distress, and if the issue is not resolved promptly, I will have to seek legal action against Extra Space Storage for this error.

I have had a 10x20 storage unit at the Extra Space Storage on [redacted] Carpenter Road B 98 for 11 years. Recently, I was informed that I would no longer have 24-hour access to my unit after the new gate is fixed. The manager, Jeff, mentioned an additional $10 fee for 24-hour access. I have always accessed my unit without extra charges. Lately, Jeff's attitude towards me has changed, and he seems unwilling to communicate effectively. Moreover, I have started to receive monthly discounts, which were not offered before. I believe I deserve proper treatment as a long-term customer. Chris, the previous manager, was more fair in handling such matters. I urge for a resolution to these issues without additional charges or inconveniences. Please contact me promptly at [redacted]. The safety claims of Extra Space storage are misleading considering the complete lack of accountability and poor customer service experienced. After my unit was robbed and struggling to get a $[redacted] insurance reimbursement, I encountered further issues regarding promised late fee waivers and unexpected charges with no explanation like a mysterious escrow deposit. Despite being a customer for over a year, the treatment received has been disrespectful and unprofessional. Even an online chat with a helpful representative abruptly ended, leaving me feeling frustrated and unheard.

Despite having unresolved issues, I have reached out multiple times via email to Storage Post, retaining all correspondences for reference. I tried to reach out to Extra Space Storage for assistance with my delinquent account, hoping to speak with a real person as advertised on their site. Unfortunately, the call only led me to an automated service. I am now prepared to make a payment of $[redacted].00 to clear my balance. However, I am unsure if this payment will prevent my unit from going up for auction or if it will simply reduce the outstanding balance. Before proceeding with an online payment, I need clarification that the funds will indeed bring my account up to date. Despite attempting to contact the local Store Manager at their provided number, I encountered another automated system stating the staff were busy assisting other clients.

I have been requesting for three months now to have the $11 insurance removed from my bill at Extra Space. Despite multiple calls and discussions with different agents, they have not removed it yet. In September [redacted], I even called before making a payment to ensure they take off the insurance as I do not want it. An agent promised it would be done in October, but my bill for October still included the insurance fee. We should have the option to remove the insurance ourselves through the website. I expect the $11 insurance fee to be removed for November as well as for the previous three months to be reimbursed.

I recently received a text message from Extra Space notifying me about an upcoming rent payment, which I promptly paid. However, I had an issue where I was locked out of my storage unit a week later due to an alleged broken light. The storage manager used my rent payment to cover the cost of the light, leaving my account overdue and locked. In the past 3 months, our location has experienced 3 break-ins where customers' belongings were stolen. I've witnessed the security cameras and was even threatened by the onsite staff for accessing my unit. When reaching out to customer service, I was directed back to the local office and unable to escalate my concerns to corporate. I'm concerned about the safety of my unit and whether the insurance provided covers theft. It's frustrating that Extra Space Storage is not addressing these security issues promptly.
