The woman I encountered on my first day was incredibly rude. Instead of staying at Parkland Motel 1 as planned, I was placed in Parkland Motel 2, which did not meet my needs. The owner, Linda, was very impolite and created discomfort during my initial two days. When I asked for the curtain rod to be fixed and housekeeping to be done, she was unhelpful and even instructed me to do it myself as maintenance was unavailable. The entrance door at the motel had a gap at the bottom, making it feel unsafe. Upon entering, the room had a strong disinfectant smell that was difficult for my wife to tolerate. Last night, September 14th, I attempted to book flights online through Expedia from Edmonton to London Heathrow for November 11th. Despite selecting the flight and entering all necessary information, including my credit card details, I encountered an error message stating "Error- flight not available" upon hitting enter. When I tried to rebook, the same message appeared even though the flight was still showing as available. After three failed attempts, I decided to book directly with the airline at a slightly higher fare. During my recent stay at the Premier Inn in Hamilton located at [redacted] Main Street, I was extremely disappointed with the condition of my room. There were crumbs in the drawers, mold in the shower, dirty handprints on the mirror, and blood/burnt markings on the duvet. It was unsettling to discover all of this as we were preparing to check out in the morning. It's alarming to think that I slept in bedsheets with blood stains and encountered mold while taking a shower. These issues are not typical in the hospitality industry and pose health risks. When I reported these concerns to the front desk, the only response I received was to have notified them immediately the night before. I believe a refund for my stay is necessary.

During our visit to Minneapolis, my husband, our German friend, and I, all from Canada, encountered a couple of issues at the hotel we booked for a weekend trip to the USA. Firstly, our German friend was denied entry despite us having the ESTA, as she didn't have one. This led to us missing the first night. I believe there has been a misunderstanding regarding the communication with the hotel. Despite the refund for one night, I do feel that there was an error that led to the penalty for the second night. Additionally, having to pay for the extra two nights out of pocket was a significant inconvenience.
