I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent purchase of Duracell AA batteries from Target for my Medtronic MiniMed 630g insulin pump. I have been a satisfied user of Duracell batteries for years, but this time was different. The pack I bought had an expiration date of March [redacted]. Unfortunately, the first three batteries I tried from the pack were dead. It caused a 35-minute delay in my day, which was frustrating and stressful. Although the fourth battery eventually worked, it was a hassle to have to rewind my pump and start over. I disposed of the remaining batteries out of frustration. Today, my husband gave me one of the batteries from the pack, prompting me to contact Duracell for a replacement. I rely on these batteries for my health, and I hope this was an isolated incident. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Rachel M. B.

I recently bought a pack of three 9V2 batteries about 3 or 4 months ago, but I can no longer find the receipt. One battery worked fine initially, but last night when I tried to replace another battery in my smoke alarm, the second new battery didn't seem to work as the alarm kept beeping. After multiple attempts, I used the last battery from the pack and it worked well. I noticed that the numbers on the bottom of each battery are different. I would appreciate it if I could get a coupon for a discount on a new set of 9V2 batteries. Thank you.

I bought a pack of three *V* batteries a few months ago, but I don't have the receipt anymore. One battery worked fine, but when I tried to use the second one in a smoke alarm, it didn't work. I replaced it with the third battery, which worked well. The batteries have different numbers on the bottom. I would appreciate a coupon for a discount on a new set of *V* batteries. Thank you.

I recently purchased a Duracell charger for my iPhone, which cost me around $25-$30. As a 16-year-old, this is a significant amount of money for me. I expected the charger to be durable and long-lasting. I usually use it only at night in my room, keeping another charger for on the go. Today, while trying to sleep, I noticed an orange light and a burning smell. To my shock, the charger was on fire. Thankfully, my phone is unharmed, but I need a new charger now. A refund or replacement would be appreciated. I can provide photos of the damaged charger if needed. Thank you.

Hello, I purchased a Duracell car battery for my boat on the Island of Cres in Aci Marina, Croatia. The battery has stopped working and cannot be charged anymore. The authorized representative in Croatia is a company called I.T. Auto dijelovi d.o.o. They have not been helpful in providing information on where I can have the battery tested or replaced under warranty. I bought the battery on June 21, [redacted], and I have the original warranty. Please contact me urgently as I need assistance with testing or replacing the battery. Could you also provide me with the customer service number for the EU? Thank you. Regards, M. Metzner

I bought two wheelchair batteries at a local Batteries Plus in March [redacted]. In October [redacted], they were defective and replaced under the one-year warranty. Now, in September [redacted] (less than a year later), they are also defective again! Duracell informed me that Batteries Plus handles the warranty. Despite contacting them, I received no assistance. I realized I was overcharged, and they sold me the wrong batteries. As someone who relies on my wheelchair for mobility, I am frustrated. It took me two years to save for these batteries, only to face this issue. I found the correct batteries with a two-year warranty for much less. I am desperate for assistance; please help.

I am a dedicated consumer of Duracell products and rely on them for many of my devices. While I have had no issues with your AA, C, or D batteries, I have experienced consistent leaking with your AAA batteries. Despite the advertised shelf life of five years, after only one year, they leak in my devices. I have purchased multiple large packs from Costco as a heavy user. Interestingly, I do not encounter this issue with Panasonic AAA batteries. I am frustrated enough to address this matter despite having better things to do. Could you please clarify why this occurs and consider sending me replacements? Thank you for your attention to this matter, as I hope to continue our business relationship. - Jim

I received a letter from Katie R., a Product Specialist in the Consumer Relations Department, regarding my gas fireplace battery box issues with Duracell batteries. The letter requested to inspect the affected device, receive the batteries, and a copy of the receipt for evaluation. They also asked to return the 12 batteries individually in small zip lock bags inside a larger one with the provided label. Compensation for batteries with low energy was included. However, the process seems overly complicated and time-consuming. Considering the effort required and the compensation offered, purchasing a new pack of batteries from a different brand appears to be a more practical solution. Duracell's quality seems to have declined, making their return process more burdensome than beneficial. Regards, Pat Fallon from Pat Fallon Painter Printmaker LLC.

I purchased three Duracell [redacted] edition compact flashlights in a three-pack. Initially, they performed well with a bright LED light that could be dimmed by pressing the button on the handle, suitable for both work and home. However, after three months, all of them began failing, even with fresh batteries. They would shine brightly for about an hour before suddenly going out. This simultaneous malfunction suggests a potential electrical drain issue.
Despite their reliability, these flashlights failed during a recent power outage when I needed them most to assist my elderly handicapped mother. I would like all three flashlights replaced: one metallic blue, one metallic red, and one metallic silver. I am willing to provide photos if necessary.
Duracell is our preferred brand for flashlights and batteries, and this is the first time we have experienced such a problem. I kindly request that you investigate this matter and consider providing replacements. Thank you for your attention to this issue.
Sincerely,
L.K.

I bought three Duracell [redacted] edition compact LED flashlights, but they only work for an hour before dying out despite fresh batteries. I suspect there may be an electrical issue causing this problem.
I purchased these flashlights for my handicapped mother, and they are very bright, illuminating the entire room. Unfortunately, during a power outage, they only worked briefly before completely shutting off, leaving us in darkness.
My family always relies on Duracell products for their reliability, so I was disappointed when all three flashlights failed. They came in a three-pack with two light variations, offering a dimmer light option when needed.
I kindly request Duracell to replace the three malfunctioning flashlights, which were metallic blue, red, and silver. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I always choose Duracell batteries due to their reliability and longevity. However, last week, when I replaced the batteries in my Apple wifi mouse, I was shocked to find that the Duracell batteries had swollen and leaked, damaging my mouse. The batteries are within their usable date, marked MAR2027, so I'm concerned about a potential defective batch. These batteries are from a package of 20 AA batteries. Can you confirm if there have been issues with this specific batch from Duracell? I want to ensure the safety of my other electronics and know if it's safe to use the remaining batteries. Thank you for your assistance.

I have a Duracell [redacted] flashlight that I adore. The unit was functioning perfectly with Duracell 'C' size batteries. I noticed the manual did not specify that only alkaline batteries should be used, so I decided to test rechargeable batteries. Upon inserting them, the flashlight briefly turned on, now only showing a faint white square where the light used to be. Reverting to alkaline batteries yielded the same result - no light, just a dim LED square. I am disappointed that my expensive flashlight is now nonfunctional due to this issue not being outlined in the instructions. I am kindly requesting a replacement flashlight at no cost.

I bought a 34-pack of AAA batteries from either Costco or Sam's Club recently. Some of the batteries were stored in a bin in my desk drawer, while others were kept in their original packaging. Unfortunately, I discovered that a few of these batteries leaked acid, causing damage to my remotes, the plastic container, and even the original packaging. I am puzzled as to why this happened, especially considering the cost of these supposedly higher-quality batteries. The UPC on the package is 0 41[redacted]2 4. I have photos of the leaks available if necessary. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - J. Holland.

Hello,
I wanted to share my experience with Duracell batteries. Recently, I opened my flashlight to replace the three AAA copper top batteries. To my surprise, the batteries had leaked acid inside the flashlight. All three batteries had a [redacted] date on them. The contacts in the flashlight are now corroded, and I'm unsure if they can be cleaned. As a loyal Duracell customer, I was disappointed to encounter defective batteries. I hope this matter can be resolved. Thank you.

I purchased a six-pack of Duracell Quantum AA batteries recently from Menard's but unfortunately lost the receipt. I encountered issues with all six batteries being dead shortly after installing them in my TV remote. Despite being guaranteed to last for 10 years with an expiration date of December [redacted], they all failed to work. I typically opt for the gold and black Duracell batteries but decided to give these a try, only to be disappointed by their performance straight out of the box. These batteries were pricier than my usual choice, and I believe they may have been defective. I have always been satisfied with Duracell AA batteries in the past, and I am kindly asking for a replacement with the same or an alternative AA lithium battery to restore my confidence in your brand. Sincerely, Mary C. Morris

10 years ago, I purchased an Olympus Pearlcorder J300 for recording conversations during an investigation. The recorder uses a microcassette to ensure the authenticity of the original analog recording. Unfortunately, despite being stored with Duracell AAA batteries that were supposed to be leak-proof, the batteries have leaked and damaged the recorder. Now, I am in need of a replacement.
The batteries had an expiration date of MAR [redacted], but there was no time limit specified in Duracell's No Leak guarantee. I would appreciate a replacement if microcassette voice-activated recorders are still available. Alternatively, I am open to Duracell offering another reasonable solution that aligns with their advertising promises.

I struggled for over half an hour to extract a single battery from the packaging of your Duracell [redacted] four-pack. The plastic wrap around the batteries was too tight, making it extremely challenging to access them. Not only is the packaging inconvenient, but it also advises cutting along a misaligned line on the back, which could lead the customer to inadvertently slice into the batteries. Swiftly, I got rid of the batteries. My intention was to change the battery in my Snark guitar tuner that clamps onto the guitar's headstock. I kindly request four new batteries to be sent free of charge, each in its own easy-to-open package. Thank you. G.R.

Dear Customer Service,
Following a recent 39-hour power outage caused by a storm, I had to rely on flashlights in my home. Unfortunately, two of them did not work, and upon inspection, I found that the Duracell AA batteries inside these flashlights had corroded, making it impossible for me to remove them. One of the affected lights is a Coleman Battery Lock+ model with 6 AA batteries, of which 4 were successfully removed, but the remaining 2 are stuck. The other is a Mini Maglite LED flashlight with 2 AA batteries, both of which are also stuck due to battery corrosion.
Your product packaging states that if damaged by batteries, the lights will be repaired or replaced. Could you please provide me with the necessary steps to begin this process? Thank you for your assistance.

I purchased several 34-packs of AAA batteries with an expiration date of [redacted]. Today, I discovered that the last pack I used was dead and leaking, despite being stored in our air-conditioned room. The previous pack we used didn't leak but didn't last long. Unfortunately, those batteries are already disposed of.
I also had a 10-pack of AA batteries in remotes at home for about a year, and they died within a short period of time from each other and were also leaking.
I have a picture of the leaking AAA batteries available if needed. I can send it via email. I would appreciate Duracell replacing the faulty 34-pack of AAA batteries and potentially compensating for the other 34-pack of AAA and the 10-pack of AA batteries that leaked. I do not have images of the packaging for these items. This leaking issue is surprising as it has never occurred before, even with batteries past their expiration date.

I purchased a large pack of D batteries and they only lasted less than a day in my clock that requires four of them. Interestingly, when I tried your competitor's batteries, they worked perfectly. I believe there were around 10 or 12 batteries in the package I bought. I am seeking a free replacement for this defective batch.
I was quite disappointed with the customer service experience as I waited for over half an hour with no response. You can reach me at [redacted] - Gary F.
