For the past two days, I've encountered issues with Duo not updating my progress and points. I'm using the Android app while being logged in, but even after completing multiple lessons, my progress remains stagnant. I received an email indicating I used my streak freeze yesterday, despite actually completing around seven lessons. The same problem persists today, and unfortunately, I'm unable to utilize the 'report a bug' feature on Android.

I had to purchase the online textbook and SpanishLab for my class through the CSU Monterey Bay bookstore. I received a hard copy of the textbook and a DuoLingo access code. When trying to register for MySpanishLab on Pearson, I used the access code on DuoLingo, but it only created a DuoLingo account. I still need an access code to register on the Pearson platform.

I am having trouble adding friends to my account. The system is stating that I need to be older than 13. However, I turned 13 in September of [redacted], so I meet the requirement. I suspect that my age may have been mistakenly entered incorrectly. My correct date of birth is September 17, [redacted]. If you can update my age accordingly, please notify me via email. I previously raised this issue and unfortunately received an impolite response stating I might not receive an individual reply. The problem persists today, prompting me to seek an alternative method for learning Spanish. It appears that Duolingo is solely focused on monetization. I visited the store to utilize my [redacted] points for extra hearts, but the transaction failed, resulting in the loss of all my points. This behavior seems deceitful and is uncharacteristic of Duolingo. For the past three years, I have enjoyed using this app to learn Spanish and proudly recommended it to others. However, this recent experience has changed my perception. The absence of live chat support further indicates a lack of customer commitment. I am disappointed by the stark contrast between the current version of Duolingo and its original ethos.

Hello everyone! I've been using Duolingo to learn French for over a year now, and I truly enjoy how the app incorporates grammar naturally through repetition rather than overwhelming users with complex terminology. Recently, I've noticed a change in the number of lessons per level, particularly in Level 4 French, which used to have around 20 lessons but now seems to only have about 5. I'm unsure if this change is part of an A/B test, a glitch, or a permanent feature. Could someone please clarify if this reduction in lessons is a permanent adjustment or a temporary issue that will be resolved? I would appreciate any information on this matter. Thank you, Duo!

I signed up for Duolingo Plus's one-week trial a week ago. After a few days of attempting, I managed to cancel the subscription to avoid being charged. Unfortunately, I was still charged which left my bank account with less than $5. This situation has put me in a tough spot as I now have limited funds for food and transportation to work. I am urgently seeking a refund. Your assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, Good day. I appreciate the chance to communicate with you here. I initially wanted to subscribe monthly to the Duolingo app at the rate of two thousand nine hundred Nigerian Naira ([redacted]) per month. However, instead of this monthly charge, the full six-month fee of seventeen thousand four hundred and sixty-nine Naira ([redacted]) was deducted in one go yesterday, 13th February [redacted]. Additionally, a further deduction of about twenty-six thousand six hundred and four Naira (26,[redacted]) was taken from my account today, which I am unaware of the reason for. Therefore, I respectfully ask for a refund of the funds. I prefer to switch to a monthly payment plan of two thousand nine hundred Naira (2,[redacted]) for the next six months. I used Duolingo to study German. Accidentally subscribed to Duolingo Plus, got charged for a six-month subscription, enjoyed it for a bit. Cleared browsing data, lost access, frustrated. Couldn't reach a rep. Want to end service, can't afford inaccessible program. Unable to log in despite attempts. Disputed charge, got refunded, had to change bank details. Now another charge, looking for refund and resolution. Hoping for assistance.

I downloaded Duolingo and tried the free trial for Duolingo Plus. Unfortunately, I fell seriously ill and had to be hospitalized. Since I am on a limited budget due to being disabled, I was shocked to discover that nearly £80 was deducted from my bank account without warning. This caused my taxi fare home from the hospital to be declined. I believe I should have been notified before this charge was made so I could have canceled it to avoid this situation. Currently, I am left owing the taxi company £18 and have no food at home. I urgently request the cancellation of my subscription and a refund of my money. I feel this subscription was misleading, and if this issue is not resolved promptly, I will be compelled to share my experience on social media and with newspapers. I am 45 years old and find this unacceptable. Kindly refund my money promptly. Tracy L.

I have been utilizing Duolingo to study French for the past two weeks and have been enjoying it. However, I have encountered a recurring issue that is quite frustrating. Despite correctly pronouncing a French word, the system often does not accept my answer when prompted to record my voice. This results in me losing a heart, which can be discouraging. I have noticed that the system seems to do this to prompt an ad for me to restore my heart. I find this practice off-putting and it hampers my learning experience. I take my language learning seriously, and such incidents make me hesitant to continue using the app, despite the valuable resources it provides. I have consistently reported these issues, but they persist.

I am confused about how the app handles spaced repetition. While using the Japanese course, I noticed a dumbbell button that lets me practice. Is this your spaced repetition system? However, when I switch to the Chinese or any other language course, this button disappears, and I cannot practice. I have progressed in the Chinese course up to the first checkpoint with one skill being golden, but I still cannot find the dumbbell icon like in the Japanese course. On the web page, I see a blue dumbbell icon for all trees, unlike the iPad app where it only appears in one tree. I am unsure why this discrepancy exists and cannot find any information on your help or community page. I would appreciate your assistance with this matter.

I encountered an issue with Duolingo Plus not accepting my payment for the February 28, [redacted], installment. After experiencing frustration, I decided to cancel my subscription, which was not my intention. I would like to request that Duolingo reprocess the payment for the missed installment. I believe the initial problem might have been related to the payment method set to Play points instead of my usual card. I am looking to undo the cancellation and resume my monthly subscription. To ensure the security of my payment information, I prefer not to keep my card details stored on Google, especially after experiencing unauthorized transactions last month.

I spent the whole week aiming to reach the top spot on the German leaderboard. I noticed a user named Cleighton earning hundreds of points in an hour. Despite my honest efforts, he surpassed me in the last half-hour through cheating. It seems he cheated as the points he earned in the amethyst league are unattainable for a human. I'm disheartened by the prevalence of cheating discussions and am contemplating withdrawing from the competition. Can anything be done to address this issue?

I utilized Duolingo and recently purchased "time bonus" tokens for my account last night. These tokens are supposed to be used in the XP Ramp Up Challenge module. However, when I attempted to use the first token, a pop-up message appeared stating that I couldn't access it and advised me to contact support. Unfortunately, I am unable to locate any contact information. The tokens were free, but I am unsure how to access them now. I am hesitant to try purchasing them again. Hello! I am not the one who has to solve, but you are. I have been following you for almost a year with English first and now with French. In English? Reached level IV after the lesson on attributions, the supposed V level did not open, why? Silence as an answer. Then, a notice appeared to switch to free Duo Plus by inviting friends, okay. I invited Umberto Passariello and immediately received the registration message and Plus opened. Then I invited Debora Massari who registered, but this time no message, the same goes for my friend Franca Nigri... In short, after the week with Plus, I went back to the previous condition. I wrote to you through the platform but got no response. Technically, I have the impression that you are not working so well! Now, I have given you the full names of the registered friends; I hope to deserve some attention. By the way, you also ruin my competitiveness in terms of leagues, another unclear topic that has many aspects to observe, despite being nice. Anyway, I need to finish and improve English, and you have blocked me, but I recently started French and I like it. I just want to be able to continue without problems or interruptions, and Plus seems like the most suitable way for this need. Thank you for your time, and I hope to receive answers and solutions.

To whom it may concern, I have encountered the same problem repeatedly for the past five days and am eager to have it resolved. This issue is specific to a particular question involving images of a newspaper or a cake. Despite inputting the correct answer that matches the provided solution, the app does not recognize it as correct. I have reported this multiple times, yet I continue to encounter the same question with no success. This situation is hindering my learning progress, and I am reaching out for a prompt resolution by one of your team members. I have two concerns that haven't been addressed. Firstly, the Spanish course's female voice is often unclear and too fast. This needs improvement. Secondly, the sentences used are illogical, such as cows watching TV. It would be more beneficial to have sensible sentences. These issues have been pointed out before, yet no actions have been taken to rectify them. I am hoping for a response from Duolingo as a paying customer, clarifying why these issues in the Spanish course persist. Thank you, Martin Gray.

I am a big fan of Duolingo and signed up for the one-week trial. Unfortunately, the payment was already deducted from my account before I could cancel, which is causing me financial strain during the current Coronavirus situation. I desperately need the refund to buy food as I am currently unemployed. I have reached out to Apple for a refund immediately after the payment, but I have not received any response. I have also tried to contact Duolingo via Instagram and Facebook for assistance. I sincerely hope to get my money back soon to alleviate my financial situation. Thank you.

I attempted to cancel my free subscription, but the process was unclear. The instructions mentioned canceling through the payment method, which in my case was PayPal. Unfortunately, the transaction did not appear under Duolingo in PayPal, causing confusion. Duolingo's no-reply email made it challenging to seek clarification. Despite reaching out to PayPal for assistance, resolving the issue has been difficult. Unexpectedly, the full amount for a 6-month subscription was deducted at once, creating financial strain. I prefer to switch to a monthly subscription to manage payments better. My original plan was to opt for monthly billing, so I seek guidance on making this adjustment.

I have read all the French stories in your app. The website mentioned that more stories would be added over three days ago. I opted for your PLUS service after trying it for free as it is cheaper than Pimsleur and Babbel. However, I am unable to find a customer service number. Price is important, but quality matters more. Please inform me if there are no more French stories in the app, so I can reconsider my choice and switch to Pimsleur, a top-rated language app. Thank you.
