I bought a carton (1.75qt) of Dean's Country Fresh Black Walnut ice cream and was disappointed to find only one black walnut in the entire container. Comparatively, other brands like Mariano's have plenty of black walnut pieces throughout their ice cream. Here is the information from the packaging: 17-81 18:24 [redacted]. This includes the plant ID, production time, and lot number. Despite this, I have always enjoyed Dean's products, and this was a rare letdown. I wanted to purchase four cartons for the Fourth of July gathering and was hoping this flavor would be good, especially since Moose Tracks is a family favorite. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Regards,
Frank S.

I am disappointed with the situation regarding the ice cream packaging. I purchased 1.75 boxes only to find them 3/4 filled. I have photos to prove this. I will try to return them to the store for a refund. I am considering switching to a different brand due to this experience. I have not received any response to my previous messages to Dean Foods, and the recent reply did not provide any answers or solutions. I am unsatisfied with the lack of communication and resolution. I hope Dean can address the issue of underfilled containers and improve customer service.
Sincerely, AL

While shopping at Family Dollar located at [redacted] Nichol Avenue in Anderson, Indiana, I encountered an issue with an employee from Deans, an outside vendor. The employee was standing near a shipment by the entrance/exit, obstructing the path to the cash register. Despite politely asking to pass through, the employee did not move, causing inconvenience to my son and me as we tried to reach the checkout. I reported the incident to the store manager, who confirmed that the individual was from Deans. This experience left me disappointed as a long-time consumer of Deans products. I hope this behavior does not represent the professionalism of all Deans employees, as it reflects poorly on both Deans and Family Dollar.

I recently encountered an issue with a 1/2 gallon of your ice cream product. My attempt to resolve the matter by calling the provided customer service number, 1-[redacted], was met with unsatisfactory service. After multiple calls, on February 26th, a customer service representative was unhelpful and evasive when I requested to speak with a supervisor. Despite threatening to escalate the issue to the FDA, I was still faced with resistance before being put on hold for an extended period without any follow-up. Subsequently, I contacted [redacted] and felt brushed off by the individual I spoke with. As a conscientious customer who took the time to report a subpar product, I am disappointed by the dismissive and inadequate responses received. I expect a more respectful and proactive approach to addressing customer concerns.

On July 4, [redacted], I purchased a tub of Dairy Pure sour cream at the Dollar General in Etowah, TN [redacted] for a cookout. Although I did not receive a receipt, I contacted the store about the quality issue. Despite having experienced two previous instances of bad sour cream from this brand, I hurriedly bought the one from the back of the cooler without dried bits around the lid. At the cookout, the sour cream appeared like cottage cheese and did not resemble sour cream even after stirring. Unfortunately, I had to discard it. Furthermore, my child, who loves sour cream, fell ill after consuming it, prompting us to realize the sour taste. While I usually buy other dairy products from the same store without any problems, the recurring issues with this sour cream brand have been a concern. I have been a loyal customer of this brand for years but have only encountered these problems over the past six months. Despite our regular consumption of sour cream, the recent incidents have made me wary due to health concerns for my child.

Hello, my name is Patricia Leavy from Las Vegas, Nevada. I bought True Moo chocolate milk from 7-Eleven around 6 AM Pacific Time. When my brother and I tasted the milk, it had a strange, chemical flavor like hospital chemicals. We believe the milk was tainted and want to get it tested to find out what made it taste like poison. Both of us had the milk and could tell it was bad. I am allergic to iodine, so if that's what's in it, it's dangerous for me. I called the [redacted] number, but the customer service was unhelpful. They refused a refund because I'm having it tested. I will file a lawsuit if needed to get my refund and more for this bad milk. It ruined my breakfast and I want answers. This incident has made me unable to trust Dean Foods products and I will warn others. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time. - Patricia Leavy
