I am writing to address a concerning situation regarding the payment of my loan. On October 1st, [redacted], I fully paid off my loan, which was never late in the five-year period. After confirming the payment on October 5th and arranging the delivery of the title card due to unfortunate circumstances, I was shocked to discover on November 1st that another payment was deducted from my account. When inquiring about this charge, I was informed that I still owed $82.99, supposedly for a late fee. I challenged this explanation as I have never missed a payment deadline. The representative then claimed it was interest without providing further details. Despite establishing the mistake, I was told it would take 21-31 days to receive a refund via mail, leaving me with overdraft charges and without access to my funds, which I urgently need, especially during the upcoming holiday season. I am deeply dissatisfied with this experience and questioning whether to conduct future business with your company. I seek a resolution to expedite the return of my funds. Thank you.

I recently went through a rough divorce, and my wife was unexpectedly awarded child support, leading her to owe me $10,[redacted]. The judge has now vacated this order. Additionally, the company I worked for has gone bankrupt, and my new company has not started paying me on schedule. I am in need of a break financially until the new job begins providing income. I am concerned about potentially losing my car if the current situation persists.

I am writing about my closed account with you for my 08 Hyundai Santa Fe, Account number [redacted]9. Sadly, on August 12th, my car was involved in an accident and declared totaled. After my insurance company paid off the car post my final payment, I was told I would receive a reimbursement check for the remaining balance. Regrettably, I have yet to receive this check despite being informed it was reissued twice. The last time I called, I was told I would have to wait another 30 days for a reissue. This inconsistency in information is frustrating as I feel I am being deceived. If I do not receive the check within the next 10 business days, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter to small claims court with the support of my lawyer. You can contact me at [redacted] or [redacted]

Hello, my name is Laquanta Smith. I have been experiencing health issues, leading me to visit the hospital frequently. I am in need of setting up a payment plan but have felt disregarded when calling for assistance. I am a single mother of three and am wondering if it is possible for you to grant me an extension until the end of the month to make my full payment, even if it incurs late fees. Your prompt response is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

My name is Kelly Dudley, and my Account Number is [redacted]5 for a [redacted] Kia Spectra with VIN: KNAFE[redacted]07. My payment that was due on 2/1/[redacted] was delayed as I set up a new debit account that my work did not update on time. The details have been corrected now, and the check has been mailed. I anticipate its arrival today or by Saturday, prompting the change in the due date. This is an unusual situation for me as I am usually prompt with my payments. Once this payment is settled, I plan to revert the due date to the 1st of each month. I have ensured that my new account information is correctly updated for direct deposits in the future. I apologize for any inconvenience; the delay was due to an oversight by my workplace in updating the information.

I have used Credit Acceptance in the past, and they have been awesome. I always paid on time and managed to pay off my loan successfully. Currently, as a site supervisor responsible for transporting supplies between sites, I am in need of an affordable and reliable newer SUV. Credit Acceptance has approved me once again, which I am very excited about. However, I recently experienced a family tragedy as my baby sister passed away, and I used my savings to give her a proper burial. As a result, I am struggling with the large down payment requested by dealerships. I am reaching out to Credit Acceptance for help in this matter. Despite this crisis, I am confident in my ability to repay the loan as I earn a good income. Credit Acceptance has been a great partner, and I appreciate their support. Thank you.

I have been a customer of Credit Acceptance for 3 years. Right at the start of my loan, I contacted customer service to arrange for automatic ACH debits from my account to ensure timely payments. Recently, I received calls from Credit Acceptance claiming late fees were accumulating and showing a past due balance, even though I had set up automatic payments. It turns out the initial customer service agent set up my ACH payment incorrectly. Despite numerous attempts, the issue hasn’t been resolved, and I was shocked to see a past due amount reported on my credit by Credit Karma. This misinformation has affected my credit score, and due to financial constraints amid the pandemic, I had no option but to pay the amount demanded. The lack of accountability from Credit Acceptance's customer service is disheartening. I had to pay $[redacted] to rectify the mistake caused by their representative, leaving me with a negative mark on my credit report.

Hello, this is Michael Gardner. You provided financing for a [redacted] Ford Fusion for me. My social security number is ***-**-[redacted] with a birthdate of 10/30/64. Due to the challenges of the current situation, I have been struggling with my payments. I made a partial payment 10 days ago and plan to make the full payment either this Friday or next. I recently refinanced, and you will receive the payoff amount in a week. It would take me two months to catch up completely on my payments. Please give me a call to discuss further. Despite my financial difficulties, I am grateful for the credit you extended to me when others wouldn't. I am eagerly awaiting my stimulus check, as I have been without any income for almost 3 months. I utilized Open Road Lending for the refinancing. I will contact you on Tuesday to provide more details. Please refrain from repossessing my car for now. I assure you, I am working on a solution.

Hello, I hope you're well. I have sent correspondence to your team regarding my current communication difficulties. I have explained that due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to vacate [redacted] Emory Hill, Jackson, TN [redacted]. I was residing there temporarily due to COVID-19 impact. I reported the incident where I was struck by an F-[redacted] with the vehicle owner's lack of insurance. Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover this. As I am currently unable to work, I requested the vehicle to be retrieved and for any financial obligations to be forgiven. Please reach me via email at [redacted] for further coordination. The keys are with Patricia Jackson at the site. I appreciate your prompt attention to my situation and apologize for any inconvenience. Feel free to request the police report, as my lawyer has confirmed my innocence. Thank you, Tawonna Green

Dear Concerned Parties,
I am reaching out regarding my car loan with Credit Acceptance. Due to the impact of Covid, I fell behind on my $[redacted] monthly payments. Despite my efforts to catch up by making extra monthly payments, I was surprised to find that the principal balance did not decrease accordingly. Furthermore, the extended warranty I was required to purchase has not provided the coverage promised, causing additional financial strain.
I am seeking a refund of the extended warranty costs plus interest, to be applied to the loan. I also request that the excess payments I made be applied towards the principal balance. Ultimately, I would like a final payoff amount as I believe I have fulfilled the car loan requirements.
Moving forward, I intend to deposit my payment funds into an escrow account instead of sending them directly to Credit Acceptance. I would appreciate guidance on the next steps to address these matters promptly.
Sincerely,
E. Vecchio

Subject: Assistance Needed Regarding My Credit Acceptance Car Loan
Date: November 22, [redacted]
To Whom It May Concern,
I am reaching out regarding my car loan with Credit Acceptance. Due to financial challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, I fell behind on my payments. Despite my efforts to catch up and make extra payments, I have noticed discrepancies in how the payments are applied to my principal balance. Additionally, issues with an extended warranty that I was required to purchase have yet to be resolved.
I am seeking a refund for the extended warranty costs, along with the accumulated interest, to be put towards my loan. I request that any extra payments I made be directly applied to the principal. Ultimately, I am seeking a final payoff statement, as I believe I have paid off the vehicle in full.
I would appreciate guidance on the next steps to take. To ensure the funds are handled appropriately, I intend to place my payment amount in an escrow account instead of sending it directly to Credit Acceptance.
Sincerely,
E. Vecchio

I am seeking some guidance. I purchased a [redacted] Hyundai Accent last year and had been making bi-weekly payments of $[redacted].00. Unfortunately, my car was recently seized when I got pulled over in Indiana for a marijuana charge. To add to my troubles, I ended up losing my job, becoming homeless, and my bank account used for the car payments is now closed. I am currently relying on Social Security income. I am feeling anxious as I am unsure about the status of my car, how much I still owe, and to whom I owe the remaining balance. I am also concerned about any potential impacts on my credit report, whether the car has been auctioned off, and if there are impound fees to settle. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a car from AUG Automotive Group, who arranged financing through Credit Acceptance. Shortly after driving the car, the check engine light appeared, indicating an issue with the catalytic converter. AUG informed me they don't handle repairs, leaving me to address it independently. Months passed without receiving my license plates, and the dealer provided little assistance, leading me to drive without valid registration. To my surprise, my Credit Acceptance account vanished from the payment portal after AUG repurchased the contract. Due to financial struggles due to covid, AUG agreed to wait for my income tax payment. However, they repossessed the car a week later. Credit Acceptance stated the account is closed and referred all inquiries to the dealer, who remains uncooperative. I later discovered AUG is renting out my vehicle on hyrecar.com.

To whom it may concern,
I received a check on February 15th for $1,[redacted].69, dated February 7, [redacted], made out to me, Robin R Castellanos. After confirming with Credit Acceptance that the check was indeed intended for me as a reimbursement, I deposited it into my bank. Unfortunately, four days later, I was informed that the check was from a closed account, leading to multiple overdraft fees. I am baffled by this situation and concerned about how it occurred. I contacted Credit Acceptance to address this issue, and they suggested sending a copy of the check for further investigation since my account is paid in full due to a recent refinance. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Robin R Castellanos

I have an outstanding balance and am aware of this. Recently, I've been able to begin making my normal monthly payments again. I've informed every caller that I'm waiting for the finalization of my disability determination and will utilize my retro pay to clear the balance. In the meantime, I will make my monthly payments and an additional $20. I will not respond to repeated calls. I've communicated this to multiple representatives, indicating my commitment to resolving the past due amount when my funds become available. Please cease the incessant calls. If this continues, I will report your company to the BBB for excessive interest charges and utilizing debts as leverage, especially during a pandemic. I consider this behavior harassment despite my cooperation.

Dear Credit Acceptance,
I want to express my gratitude for your exceptional service and understanding regarding my late payments. I am now up to date with my payments and am enjoying my new role as a CDL Truck Driver. Due to the challenges brought on by Covid-19, I took a break and attended truck driving school to pursue this career, which initially had a low starting salary. However, I am now earning $[redacted] a week.
I am reaching out to inquire about the possibility of arranging a pay-for-delete agreement to remove any negative marks on my account. While I am committed to making monthly payments, even with interest, to build my credit history, I believe that improving the late payment history would significantly benefit my credit score. I am prepared to pay $[redacted] for each late payment removed as a gesture of my commitment to this process.
Thank you for considering my request.
Sincerely,
R.E. Shea

I apologize for the delay in reaching out. My work schedule has been hectic, and I forgot about my payment due on the 22nd. I made a partial payment today as I had some issues with my overtime pay, resulting in a shorter payment. I will make the remaining payment by the 1st next month. I just wanted to explain and ensure you that I am committed to paying. I apologize for any inconvenience and will make sure this doesn't happen again. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Damien Walker. There is a judgment against me for a car I purchased years ago. I am working on improving my situation and would like to settle this with a payment of $[redacted]. However, I need to sell my land to make this payment. I kindly request an extension on the payment date until August to fulfill this obligation after the land sale. I appreciate your consideration in assisting me during this time.

Hello, this is Marilyn Saulsberry. In [redacted] or [redacted], my father purchased a Chrysler [redacted] from All Star Chrysler in Bridgeton, Missouri, through Credit Acceptance. When my father fell ill at the dealership, I was called to finish the paperwork. Thinking it was gap insurance, I signed the loan documents without fully understanding. After my father's passing in [redacted], I struggled to keep up with the payments as I also had another car to maintain. Credit Acceptance is now offering an 80% discount on the remaining balance of around $4,[redacted], reducing it to $[redacted]. Unfortunately, I can only afford $[redacted] at the moment, but they are refusing to accept it. I believe it's unfair of them to not allow me to settle the account with the amount I can afford, especially since I took responsibility by signing the contract, even though it was not originally mine.

Due to my grandmother's hospitalization followed by her passing away right after we acquired the Ford Focus, I was unable to make payments because she was the co-signer. The pandemic restrictions prevented me from getting any information while she was in the hospital, and I was unable to bid her farewell. Now that the vehicle has been repossessed, I am facing financial hardship with my credit. I kindly request that the account be removed from my records if feasible. Your understanding and assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
