I encountered an issue while trying to set up my Homelink with my new car. I couldn't locate my Craftsman remote, so I purchased a supposedly compatible one online. Despite opening the garage door, it wouldn't sync with my car. Subsequently, when I programmed the remote, my Craftsman keypad malfunctioned. I replaced it with a Liftmaster keypad, but faced the same programming issue. After finding the original Craftsman remote, I managed to program it successfully with the car, yet the keypads remained non-operational. Resetting the opener using the RED learn button multiple times revealed a puzzling situation — I can only have either the remote or the keypad working, but not both simultaneously. Even the second Craftsman opener failed to sync with the keypads or the new remote, although it functions with the original remote and the Homelink option. All devices have new batteries installed.

I recently bought the Craftsman 1 hp ultra-quiet belt drive garage door opener. Setting up the app with MyQ on my smartphone was easy, especially since I had a similar setup with a Gateway in my previous house. My only query relates to the alerts or notifications. With the Gateway app, there was an audible sound when the door closed, whereas now, the app only shows the door status without an accompanying sound. I'm wondering if there's a setting I might have missed in the setup menu that allows me to receive a sound notification on my phone when the door closes. This feature was really useful in the previous app. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I have some inquiries about the durability of the T2200 lawn tractor, particularly regarding the capability of the K46 transmission with a 42-inch snow plow along with weights and chains. There are conflicting opinions online, mentioning that the K46 might not withstand this setup and suggesting upgrading to the K58 or K66 transmission or even opting for the larger Husqvarna with a locking differential. Additionally, I noticed in your video that you didn't remove the deck for snow plowing. Can you confirm if this is accurate?

I recently installed LED light bulbs in my garage door opener, which is part 045DCT with FCC ID: HBW356. The LEDs worked for a few days but then stopped working. I tried replacing them with incandescent bulbs, but the lights still did not come on. Strangely, I have another Sears garage door opener of the same model that I also upgraded with LED bulbs, and they are working perfectly fine. I'm puzzled as to why the LED bulbs are not functioning in one unit but work in the other. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I own a Craftsman riding mower, model [redacted]0. Last September, both sides of the frame broke, rendering it unusable. The first technician confirmed this and advised scheduling a follow-up to install a new frame. I paid $[redacted].07 for the service call. A new frame was delivered, and a second technician was scheduled for the final repair. However, the second technician stated they do not repair frames and informed me Sears would replace the mower since the frame is under a five-year warranty and I have owned the mower for four years. Despite contacting Sears/Black & Decker 27 times, spending hours on hold, and making 3 calls today totaling 38 minutes on hold, I have not made any progress in resolving this issue. I am considering taking legal action as my next step. Any advice would be appreciated.

I visited Lowe's on Plainfield Avenue in Michigan yesterday to look for replacement tools for my Craftsman set. Unfortunately, I encountered rude and unhelpful staff. They insisted I contact Craftsman myself and were uncooperative. Despite living far from the store and being an older person, I received poor service. One employee refused to handle the tools or assist me. Feeling rushed and frustrated, I couldn't make multiple trips for just a few replacements. Also, I received new tools as Christmas gifts with no receipt but tags from Lowe's. When I inquired about exchanging them for store credit to buy a TV, I was rudely informed that Lowe's doesn't sell TVs, although I saw them online. Except for one helpful young man, the rest of the staff were unkind and unhelpful. My experience at Lowe's was disheartening, and I hope my feedback is taken seriously to improve customer service. Despite needing tools and willing to invest in a TV, the treatment I received makes me wary of returning. Thank you for addressing this matter.

For 55 years, I have relied on Craftsman tools for my home workshop. I've used my four C3 battery drills and two impact drivers for the past 15 years, but as older drills' batteries are no longer available, I switched to the C3 series. I've collected PP2010 and PP2020 batteries as nickel-cadmium ones failed. I love the battery test and power level indicator features, preferring the smaller 1.3Ah size due to weight. Newer models lack these features and are overpriced at $[redacted] each. Other brands offer similar batteries much cheaper. Sears' pricing is disappointing, as for $[redacted] plus shipping and taxes, I could buy a new drill set. It's disheartening to see Sears neglecting longtime customers. I seek affordable C3 batteries with original features. Thank you. - Robert W. G.

I need assistance with wiring my Craftsman convertible jet pump model [redacted]82 for [redacted]-volt operation. Currently, I have the black wire connected to the rightmost contact, the red wire to the leftmost contact, the green wire to ground, and two white wires from the pump connected to the center contacts. I would appreciate any help.

I am unable to find a phone number to contact Craftsman regarding a riding lawn tractor technician. After requesting to speak to a supervisor, I was informed that there are no over-the-phone technicians available and that service reps are sent out for appliances. The supervisor provided me with the phone number [redacted] and took note of my three safety concerns to forward to the Product Safety Department for a follow-up call. The concerns are:
1) I inquired if newer riding tractors are taller than one that is 10-11 years old, with Model # 13AN77XS093, Serial #1C16MB30398, as we are considering returning it.
2) The slippery vinyl seat causes me to feel unstable on the lawn, particularly when making oval cuts, and I fear falling off the seat while mowing.
3) I am seeking information on whether a 46" deck would offer more stability and safety compared to the current setup.
Please respond promptly as we need to make a decision quickly due to limited mower availability. Thank you.
Best regards,
S.W.

I have a Craftman 3/8" air ratchet that needs replacement parts. Unfortunately, the parts are no longer available. I've tried reaching out for support but have been passed around without any resolution. After dealing with this issue for two months, I was directed to an online store called "Shop Your Way," where I could only interact with a bot and not a live person. Despite having a lifetime warranty for my ratchet, I couldn't find any information on their website to replace it. The store valued my ratchet at $33.14, while a similar one was priced at $[redacted].00. I'm hesitant to make a purchase since my warranty should cover it, but I can't get in touch with anyone for assistance. The customer service experience has been extremely frustrating, with disconnected phone numbers and unresponsive emails. I'm seeking advice on how to proceed with replacing my ratchet.

I recently purchased a Craftsman riding lawn mower from Lowe's Home Improvement Store in Ruston, Louisiana. After realizing it was used and missing blades, I spoke with the manager who offered only a $[redacted] rebate on the full $2,[redacted] I paid. When inquiring about a replacement, I was told it would be nearly impossible to get one promptly from another store. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, as a customer service representative myself, I believe the customer should be valued and provided with better solutions. I feel it's unfair to pay full price for a used item. I am hoping Craftsman and Lowe's can replace this used mower with a new one promptly. Despite my attempts, the staff couldn't locate the transaction on their system. I am seeking a resolution and hoping for assistance from Craftsman.com in addressing this matter and obtaining a new lawnmower in exchange for the one I inadvertently purchased.

I contacted [redacted] at 1-[redacted] and was transferred to the supervisor headquarters. After being on hold for 45 minutes, I have not yet spoken to anyone. My z560 model Craftsman, purchased for over $3,[redacted] from Lowe's, has been malfunctioning since the beginning of May. Despite a mid-May repair, subsequent issues led to it being taken to another repair shop for nearly 7 weeks. Upon its return, within minutes of use, the belt came off, rendering it inoperable. Following conversations with Kaylor and Chris at Lowe's, I learned that my lawnmower's repair was outsourced to WE Equipment in Castroville, which they do not service. Despite attempts to reach out to Chris and Jason for scheduling, no one has returned my calls. After several attempted contacts with Lowe's, they have now informed me that it is covered under a Craftsman warranty. I simply seek assistance in getting my lawnmower serviced promptly. The serial number is 1J049H10252, and the service request number is 1[redacted]6. Kindly reach out to me on my cell at [redacted].

I purchased a Craftsman blower in April along with a warranty. The purpose of buying the blower was for its functionality. It should not be difficult to get a working product without jumping through unnecessary hoops. Waiting for the blower to be fixed for 10 days defeats the purpose of having it accessible when needed immediately. If the vendor cannot ensure the product’s quality, the company should step in. My experience with customer service was unsatisfactory, as I was even disconnected several times for not agreeing to warranty terms. I plan to reach out to the BBB if the situation is not resolved properly. It is essential for companies to prioritize customer care, especially when warranties are involved. Craftsmen should improve their service to avoid disappointing others in the future.

I have a Gas Trimmer Model # [redacted]7, but the pull starter rope isn't engaging with the flywheel. As a result, the motor won't turn over when I pull the rope. The return spring seems fine, and the unit runs smoothly when it starts. On inspecting the starter rope inside the cover, I noticed 4 plastic cups that turn the flywheel. These cups seem stretched and are unable to turn the motor over. I hope I've explained this clearly. Thank you. - Bob B.

I own a Craftsman snowblower attachment with Model # [redacted]71. I am looking for ways to increase its height in transport mode. Despite adjusting the lift release cable multiple times, I haven't noticed any improvement. Currently, I have to push the lift handle more than necessary to lift it off the ground. How can I adjust the lift to allow for more height during transport without constantly pushing the handle down? Are there any modifications available, such as a new lift bracket, that could help resolve this issue?

I recently received a Craftsman adjustable workshop stool as a Christmas gift from my wife. I am facing an issue with my Craftsman Snow Blower, model no. [redacted]82, regarding the auger not disengaging properly. Even after following the Manual's instructions to adjust the cable and move the "Z" hook on the bracket, the auger continues to slowly rotate when the control bar is released. It is confusing that moving the "Z" hook further down tightens the cable instead of loosening it. I am unsure why this adjustment does not stop the auger from turning. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this problem. Thank you for your help.

I am seeking a refund for my purchase due to numerous issues I have experienced. After spending $[redacted] on professional lawn care services three times to address problems with the carburetor choke and pulley, the unit keeps malfunctioning. Despite fixing the choke not closing, pulley issues, and spring-loaded pull system challenges, the carburetor consistently leaves the choke open. Attempts to repair the plastic part that holds the two arms for the pulley were unsuccessful, as it broke repeatedly. Yesterday, both the pulley system and carburetor malfunctioned in the same manner. As an experienced industrial millwright, I have tried extensively to resolve these mechanical problems to no avail. I possess all the original documentation and components and am adamant about requesting a refund and removing this problematic item from my workspace.

I received a Craftsman lawn mower today around noon. The packaging had a torn and scrunched clear tape, making it easy for someone at 78 years old to open. The inner white box labeled "charger and battery" was dented and empty. After contacting Lowes and then FedEx, I was directed to speak with a real person. I asked FedEx to check the truck for the missing battery, but I have not received an update yet. I suspect the battery might have been lost or taken. I feel that the company should improve their packaging with stronger tape to avoid such incidents.

I purchased a new Craftsman riding mower that was delivered with issues by Lowe's, who arrived late for the delivery. Due to the delay, I quickly parked it in my shed as it was getting dark. The next day, excited to try it out, I noticed multiple cracks on the front and side near the hood bolt. When operating the mower, the hood moves uncontrollably. Two weeks later, I found broken brackets near the lights causing the hood to not stay in place. As a result, the black part where the hood locks is beginning to bend. Despite a 3-year warranty, I am struggling to get the issue resolved. Lowe's directs me to Craftsman, who then directs me to MTD, creating a frustrating back-and-forth. I simply want a new hood or a refund given the nearly $[redacted] I paid for the mower. I am disheartened that warranty claims seem challenging to resolve these days, and I am determined to address this independently without involving any outside parties.
