Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Customer Service Issues

My parents, who always enjoy dining at Cracker Barrel, went to the Somerset Kentucky location on July 5th. Unfortunately, they had to send back their food to be reheated, raising concerns about the quality. Upon receiving the food again, it still didn't taste right, leading them to take some dessert to go. At the counter, they witnessed a veteran struggling to pay the exact amount, making them uncomfortable. After consuming the meal, they both fell ill, with my father vomiting excessively. Concerned, they sought help from a family nurse practitioner. It's evident that they suffered from food poisoning, which is distressing after their loyalty to the restaurant. I believe they deserve some form of compensation for this distressing experience at a place they cherish.

The bacon was undercooked, needing additional heating, and we received a minimal portion of Hashbrown casserole. This is not the first time our order was incomplete. During my recent visit to the McDonough, GA Cracker Barrel, I encountered a frustrating experience. I placed an order over the phone, but upon arrival, I had to wait in line as my order wasn't placed. Reordering took 44 minutes, and despite the late hour, other customers were served and employees clocked out before I could pay. The situation worsened when I received the incorrect order at home. The following day, the day manager requested a receipt number to address my complaint, which I didn't have. This lack of organization and professionalism from staff was disappointing. I expected better from Cracker Barrel.

I am having trouble using gift cards for the heat and serve Thanksgiving dinners as I was informed in-store that only credit cards are accepted. Gift cards should be equivalent to cash. Additionally, the customer support number has been unhelpful and keeps looping back, while the chat has been unavailable since 8:30 am. It is frustrating not to be able to speak with a representative when online it states that this is the customer support platform. I seek clarification regarding why gift cards are not accepted for payment.
