I've had CenturyLink for two years, but it took three months for my service to get hooked up. While my mom, aunt, and neighbor were all connected in a week or less, I've faced the same issue consistently. Whenever the weather changes, my service restarts - rain, snow, or wind triggers it. I have to call EVERY MONTH about this. Technicians promised to come but didn't show up, or left without solving the issue. My speed never exceeded 14mbps even though I'm paying for 25mbps. They downgraded my service twice, blaming my distance from the building. However, my relatives are just as far and have no problems. I've tried everything - new modem, relocating it, reducing connected devices, yet the issue persists. Despite all attempts, my internet is slow and unreliable. I'm frustrated as I pay every month for a service that doesn't work most of the time.

I am seeking assistance in restoring phone service in my household. Our service was disconnected over a week ago, and despite numerous attempts to have it reinstated, progress has been limited. The situation escalated when our cell service was also disrupted due to a mandatory upgrade by the provider, leaving us without any means of communication. My husband, who is a stroke survivor, is at risk of having another stroke at any moment, and the lack of phone service poses a serious threat. In the event of an emergency, the delay in reaching help could have severe consequences. I have contacted various numbers in search of a solution, but some representatives seemed unaware of the issue. I was assured of assistance by this Saturday, but a simple fix at the external connection box is all that is needed. I am perplexed by the complexity of resolving this matter efficiently.

I recently received a refund check from Lumen for $14.41 due to being overcharged by CenturyLink. Unfortunately, I misplaced and failed to cash the check #[redacted] dated 8/24/[redacted] within the 90-day limit. I returned the voided check with an explanation, requesting a replacement, but have yet to receive it. The original check was addressed to Gaylen Flake at my sister's place due to a temporary mail routing situation. Since then, I have relocated to [redacted] N. Robson, #[redacted], Mesa, AZ, [redacted]. I still haven't received the replacement check. I'm the account holder with ID landline [redacted]492R. Can someone guide me on how to address this issue quickly? Thank you, Gaylen Flake.

I've been without internet since 4/4 when a cable was accidentally cut by Avista. After contacting CenturyLink Customer Service on 4/5, I was given an appointment for 4/7, which was a no show. After reaching out again on 4/7, they rescheduled for 4/8. The technician arrived at 8:07 on 4/8 but couldn't access the pole as it's in the neighbor's yard, and they weren't home. A bucket truck is needed for access. Despite spending hours on the phone on 4/8, there was no resolution, and I've been told to reschedule for 8/12 - leaving me without internet for a week.

On May 20, [redacted], my telephone line has been out of service the entire day. I have been trying to contact customer service from my cell phone to request a repair ticket, but I have not been able to get through. Whenever I do get connected and someone answers, we have trouble hearing each other, and the call ends abruptly. Despite providing my callback number, no one contacts me back with a repair ticket. This is the same issue I reported on May 2, [redacted], which was supposedly resolved by Century Link on May 5, [redacted]. However, the problem persists, and I urgently need a new repair ticket to address the non-operational telephone line. Thank you for your assistance. - Gail C. Steinmetz

My internet connection is extremely slow, with download speeds at 0.03K and upload speeds at 0.01. I have been having trouble reaching an actual person through their automated phone system. I need to schedule a technician visit but can't seem to get through to anyone. It's frustrating that all their phone numbers lead to the same automated system. I attempted to flag down a Century Link supervisor to no avail. Living in a rural area, I have limited options for internet providers and feel stuck with their service despite these ongoing issues.

On Tuesday, May 24, [redacted], at 3:58 pm, I contacted CenturyLink and waited for 1 hour and 23 minutes before Carlos assisted me. I informed him about the internet and landline issues under the account name Vincent Braun, with the last 4 digits of the SSN being [redacted]. I used my cell phone to reach out at [redacted]. After fixing the internet, Carlos attempted to test the landline but we got disconnected. Despite sending a text message, I didn't receive a call back. Upon contacting CenturyLink again after their closing time, a test was conducted on the landline, indicating the need for a service ticket. Unfortunately, the call got disconnected once more while scheduling an appointment. I am requesting assistance to schedule an appointment for restoring my landline. To reach me for the appointment, please contact or text me at [redacted]. Thank you. - Deborah R.

I have been experiencing issues with my landline as there is no dial tone. Despite attempting various troubleshooting measures and being "timed out" of multiple chat sessions, I have not been successful in scheduling a service call. The chat representative mentioned a physical problem with the connection based on our conversation (transcript available). This recurring problem with the phone line requires a service visit to address the issue promptly.

Regarding repair ticket VN504188 for an internet connection failure, a technician named Mike responded on Wednesday, May 25. He checked the "Main" Box two blocks from my place, confirming the lights were working and the router was as expected. Unfortunately, despite his efforts, the issue persists. I am eager to have the internet back up as I work online. I will not be available until Tuesday, May 31, but I will be home after 6 p.m. on Friday, May 27. Can someone come then? Can I grant entry if assistance is available on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday? I urgently need my internet service restored, and I am willing to explore other service providers if necessary.

I recently requested my Xfinity phone to be transferred, but encountered issues with the technician. Despite promises of completion, the technician mistakenly worked on the wrong line. After contacting customer service, I was informed the order was incorrect and needed to be resolved by tomorrow. However, the process became confusing when asked to fill out a form for the transfer. I was then told the matter was with the "port" department, but the call unexpectedly disconnected. I urgently need the number transferred before leaving town. Please ensure [redacted] is connected before our departure. Thank you for your assistance. - Vic R. (Xfinity phone under Nina E.)

I am experiencing issues with my home phone from Century Link. Even though I have scheduled service calls on three separate occasions (5-17, 5-26, and 6-2-22) where they promised a technician between 8am and 5pm, nobody has shown up or communicated with me. Each time I contact Century Link, they claim the service call was canceled, but I did not cancel it. I just want my phone fixed as I continue to pay for a service I cannot use. Please assist. Thank you, Faye W. from Martinsville, Virginia. Phone: [redacted](Cell: [redacted]).

I spoke with a representative regarding my bill complaint, and I was informed that my next bill will be $[redacted].99, up from $85.00. I inquired about discounts and was advised to talk to another agent at [redacted]. However, after waiting for 25 minutes on the phone, no agent became available. The automated recordings were frustrating, and I am contemplating canceling my services. The agent also mentioned I should call the same number but press #2 for questions regarding the security service provided by CenturyLink, Mcafee. Our Mcafee subscription expires on July 23, and I am unsure if CenturyLink will continue to offer this service for free. It's challenging to get clear answers, and being seniors on a fixed income, any savings are significant. I hope you can assist me with this situation.

I struggled with customer service for days, trying to get a new modem from CenturyLink due to my old one. Despite being a customer for 15 years, I ran through countless tests only to be met with more requests for testing. Frustrated, I attempted to cancel my service but encountered more roadblocks reaching customer support. Even after receiving a case number, my efforts to connect through the provided phone number failed. I received an email from a customer advocate, but I am hesitant to engage fearing more testing on my disconnected modem. At 82, I lack the patience to continue this futile cycle. Disappointed by the poor customer service and internet quality, I am considering seeking legal assistance. Thank you for hearing me out.

We recently moved to a new address and have a Panasonic phone with the number [redacted]. The screen is displaying a message saying "voicemail message via phone company" and asking to "Ask phone company for VM access #." We need CenturyLink to provide us with the access number to retrieve the voicemail. The customer service messages from CenturyLink are sometimes unclear and hard to follow compared to other calls we receive. Thank you, Cary Engelman.

I am experiencing a billing issue with Century Link. I only had their service for one day last year when I moved to my current location. I was under the impression at the time that Century Link only provided internet, so I promptly canceled the account and returned the equipment. However, recently I received a bill claiming I owe $[redacted].00. This is the first communication I have received from Century Link in 10 months, and I do not have an account number to reference. When attempting to contact Century Link, I am unable to proceed as the phone number associated with the account is not recognized in their system. I have had the same phone number since the 1980s and would appreciate assistance in resolving this matter. As a retired high school teacher on a fixed income, it is important to me to avoid unnecessary expenses. Having a working phone number where I can speak with a representative would greatly facilitate resolving this issue. Thank you for your attention.

I am experiencing static on the line of the community gate box number [redacted], which prevents me from connecting my computer for programming. A CenturyLink repairman previously identified the issue as a “grounded out” CenturyLink line. A gate serviceman confirmed the problem is with the CenturyLink line and mentioned it would need a lineman to fix it, likely on the pole. I kindly ask for CenturyLink to send a lineman to address this ongoing static issue with the community gate. My address is [redacted] 108th Ave Ct E, [redacted], and you can reach me at [redacted]. Thank you. - Dave Eskelin

I've attempted several times in the past few days to no avail. The phone incessantly rings without reaching the answering machine. The issue was confirmed by others too. Occasionally, a call gets through, possibly through different connectors. On 6/20/22, I reported this problem. Despite a lengthy test, it was inconclusive due to my malfunctioning cell phone. Missing important calls from various contacts due to this recurring and serious problem is unacceptable. A similar issue arose months ago, taking weeks to resolve. The technicians attribute it to outdated equipment, which is no longer an acceptable explanation. Urgent attention to this matter is requested.

For the past two months, my home phone has been out of order, and I have been unable to reach a live representative for assistance. Unfortunately, in my area, my cell phone signal is also unreliable. Despite attempting to troubleshoot the issue by unplugging and trying a different phone, the problem persists. I attempted the text option, but they insist on a $99.00 payment for a repair appointment. Given that I cannot troubleshoot at home due to the phone being down and lack of internet access, I am at a loss. Calling their repair service only leads to an after-hours recording, and the long wait times make it impossible for me to hold on while at work. If someone could please reach out to my cell phone number [redacted], I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your help. - Melanie W.

I am experiencing difficulties accessing CenturyLink home phone features through the Update Center. When I called the Update Center at 1-[redacted]-(area code)-[redacted] from outside my home, I did not receive options for features like Call Forward, Call Following, or Call Rejection. Even when dialing *78 from home, I wasn't able to access these options. Although I managed to activate Call Forwarding using *72 while at home, I need to be able to do this remotely. Despite contacting CenturyLink for help, I was directed to technical support but left on hold for over an hour. The Chat support has also been unsuccessful for me as it never seems to work. Email responses have not been helpful either, just referring me back to guides that do not address the issue of not receiving options from the Update Center. I am seeking specific guidance on how to access these phone features through the Update Center, not just general instructions on how to reach it or what codes to dial for each feature.

There is a phone line hanging across our back fence at [redacted] W. Royal Palm Rd since 7-3-[redacted]. I would like a repairman to splice it into the house terminal at [redacted] Las Palmaritas Dr., one street north of our home in Glendale, AZ. When dialing numbers, the phone makes clicking sounds that match the digits dialed. This issue started when the line was cut during shade post installation in the neighbor's backyard. Since then, techs have come out multiple times to address the problem, including splicing the line back together. I have contacted Repair Representatives and technicians, but the issue persists. I would appreciate prompt assistance to resolve the wiring and noise issue so that I can use my home phone without disruptions.
