I mailed a check for my registration on September 23rd, but it has not been processed yet, and I still haven't received my registration. It expired on October 23rd, [redacted]. Today is November 6th, [redacted]. The check amount was $[redacted].00, with number [redacted]. I encountered a similar issue last year. It feels frustrating that there are no repercussions for the DMV's delays, while I would be charged late fees if I were late with my payment. What could be causing these delays and errors in processing my registration?

I recently got a ‘bridge toll violation’ notice from FasTrak. The notice displays a vehicle photo with a license plate number resembling mine (8SAF389), but the vehicle isn’t mine. I believe the actual plate may be 8SAE389, with the bottom of the 'E' obscured by the plate frame. Can you verify this plate number? If it's in use, could I receive a new plate to prevent any issues?
