I renewed my driver's license in early January through the online system and paid the fee. Despite calling once, I still haven't received it. They claimed to have sent it out on February 2 to the wrong address, which was an old one I haven't used in years. The problem persists as I can't reach anyone at the DMV. A representative mentioned that they couldn't assist due to phone line or computer issues. I am frustrated as I need my license for various activities like cashing checks and starting a new job. The delay is causing significant inconvenience.

Hello, I have an urgent request and would greatly appreciate your prompt assistance. In [redacted], I moved from PA to CA but forgot to transfer my car title. Subsequently, in [redacted], I relocated to New York City for work before everything shut down due to COVID-19. I still have the CA license plate: 8HQA651. My previous registered address in CA was [redacted] W 36th Place, LA, CA [redacted]. At the NY DMV, they require my CA state title. I was advised by a customer representative that I need an email or letter from the DMV headquarters at [redacted] stating that I do not possess a CA title in order to register my car in NY. Your assistance in this matter is essential. Given that establishments are gradually reopening, I urgently need to update my car information to avoid any potential fines or violations. Best regards, Devina

Hello, I purchased a vehicle from Modesto Prestige Auto in Modesto, CA, and only received one rear license plate. I am looking to buy a front plate to comply with California law since the dealership did not provide it. The vehicle, a [redacted] Mazda CX-5, is legally owned by my wife and me, but we are missing the front plate. We have the title and registration, and the dealership has not resolved the issue despite our multiple requests. My wife and I would appreciate any help to ensure we follow California laws. The vehicle details are as follows: [redacted] Mazda CX-5 License Plate #: 7KFF322 VIN: JM3KE4DY6F[redacted] Thank you for your time and assistance! Sincerely, K.T. & N.T. My license got suspended because I didn't report an accident. The car involved was a rental, and I had comprehensive and collision insurance. I believe there was a secondary insurance policy to back up the first one, but I'm unsure. The other driver was at fault for driving the wrong way. The license suspension is for one year from the June 5, [redacted] accident date. Is it possible for the DMV to lift the suspension six weeks early? I am willing to pay a fine for the late report as it's my first offense. I assumed the rental company would handle it due to having insurance. Your guidance on this matter is much appreciated. Thank you.

About 20 years ago, I had three DUIs and served jail time plus 18 months in the HART program. I didn't complete the program due to its cost and my circumstances back then. Ten years ago, I requested a reduction in program time from the Sacramento DMV based on their guidelines for those with a clean record for 7 years. They approved a 3-month HART program. After some delay, I completed the program and got SR22 insurance for a year. However, when I tried to submit the insurance to my local DMV, they refused it and insisted on a longer program due to my multiple offenses. Despite explaining the situation, the staff member was rude and unhelpful. When I approached the HART program, they confirmed following the DMV's instruction for a 3-month program. I am now unsure of what steps to take next.

I am reaching out about the vehicle registration issue for a car that has been sold for scrap by a towing company. The vehicle, with the license plate SHDC056, was registered to my son, Sergio Ospina. Despite informing them that the vehicle no longer exists, I received a renewal notice, this time requesting $[redacted].00. I initially returned the fee notice with an explanation of the situation. The car needed a new radiator, which was paid for, but the mechanic found a blown head gasket, deeming it not worth fixing. The car was meant to be donated but was instead left on the street by the mechanic and then towed by the police, costing me $[redacted].00 in impound fees. The car was ultimately scrapped. Any assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Sue N.

I have held a Class C driver's license for almost 50 years and am looking to obtain a REAL ID quickly. My driver's license and birth certificate have mismatched names. The name on my license is Joseph Patrick Nowakowski, while my birth certificate reads Patrick Joseph Novakowski. Despite the document error, it is signed by my mother using the correct spelling. I possess various supporting documents under my usual name, Joseph Patrick Nowakowski, including my social security card, insurance policies, old school records, and marriage certificate. I am 70 years old and have always gone by Joseph Patrick Nowakowski. I have an appointment at the Westminster DMV on May 13th, [redacted]. Would the DMV be able to issue me a REAL ID if I explain my unique situation in person? If not, what alternatives do I have to obtain a REAL ID? Sincerely, Joseph Patrick Nowakowski

I discovered that someone has been misusing my California Historical Vehicle plate (HV [redacted]) to avoid tolls on the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge. This has been captured in photos by Fastrak, showing the culprit's vehicle with my plate number. My [redacted] Buick California Highway Patrol car indeed has both plates. While I contacted Fastrak about two erroneous bills earlier this year, I received another bill recently. I plan to reach out to Fastrak about this latest issue. I am seeking guidance on how to inform the California DMV about this fraudulent use of my license plate, as their website does not offer assistance with this matter.

I received a DUI in Madera County, California, while living in Washington State. I have completed all DUI requirements, but California has placed a hold on my old California DL# C[redacted], belonging to William J. B. Jr. I now reside in Arizona, where the California DMV mentions I am not eligible for an Arizona driver's license. Can you please remove the hold so I can obtain a license in Arizona? All proof of paying DUI fines in full and meeting all specifications can be provided from the Madera County Traffic Court case# CCR056649. They can't issue a copy to me but can give the DMV records of the completion of court requirements. Kindly resolve this matter and lift the disqualification. I would like to be notified when this is resolved, and I become eligible for an Arizona driver's license. William J. B. Jr. [redacted] E La Riata Rd Fort Mojave, AZ [redacted] [redacted]

In [redacted], my father passed away, and I discovered that someone forged his signature on the title and deed to his home, as well as on the notarized documents I received. The notarized ledger even contains a driver's license number that doesn't exist. I am seeking guidance on how to retrieve his authentic signature and which forms are required to aid in bringing the responsible individual(s) to justice for theft. The real estate agents who processed the property documents just two days after his passing should be held accountable for their deceitful actions. Thank you for your assistance.

I would like to renew my driver's license and inquire about the cost. Do I need to make an appointment? I also need to register a car that was gifted to me by my late mother, Patricia M. Bannatyne, at [redacted] Devonshire Avenue, San Leandro, California [redacted]. She has signed over the pink slip to me. Do I need any additional documentation stating it was a gift? Before proceeding, I want to check if I have any outstanding tickets or fees that might affect my license renewal or vehicle registration for the [redacted] Chevrolet Nova. My name is Alfredo D. Castillo, residing at the same address. Please provide the necessary details for payment and let me know if I can pay over the phone with a debit card or if payment needs to be made in person at the DMV. Thank you, Alfredo D. Castillo.

I contacted the office in early May regarding the non-arrival of our F350's registration notice for the second consecutive year. The representative explained an error in the registration as a commercial vehicle subject to annual weighing. I completed the necessary form and sent a $[redacted].00 check as instructed. However, it is now past May, the check remains uncashed, and the envelope has not been returned, indicating the DMV has it. Resolving this matter promptly is essential to prevent its recurrence. Please take note of the vehicle ID number: 1FT8W3BT1KEE41491. Thank you, T. DeYoe.

In October [redacted], I attempted to register my [redacted] F450 Superduty with the DMV and was informed that due to it being a diesel vehicle with a GVWR exceeding 14,000lbs, I couldn't register it or place it on non-operation status. I sought guidance from the CARB Hotline, which reiterated the same information. Despite trying to sell it, I've had no luck. Surprisingly, I recently received a letter from the State Of California Vehicle Registration Collections demanding payment for registration and penalties. When I contacted the DMV again, they had no record of the restriction. This conflicting information has left me perplexed. The DMV directed me to reach out to your office, but I have been unsuccessful in getting through for further clarification.

To Whom It May Concern, I, Ernest Petrosyan, reside at [redacted] Sherman Way, #[redacted], Van Nuys, CA [redacted]. My California driver's license number is B[redacted]. I encountered a recurring problem with my license during insurance applications. In [redacted], I relocated to California from Rhode Island, obtaining my CA driver's license without issues. About 15 years ago, trouble surfaced when my license was deemed invalid. After reaching out to Massachusetts for a release form and renewing with Sacramento, a similar issue resurfaced five years later. Repeatedly resolving this with Massachusetts, my license is in order currently, but while attempting to insure my vehicle, it was flagged as invalid. I am seeking a permanent solution to this reoccurring problem, experiencing validity issues every five years upon renewal. I am eager for assistance or guidance in resolving this matter promptly. Sincerely, Ernest Petrosyan

I paid off my [redacted] Nissan NV [redacted] van on July 2nd and was informed I would receive the Title within 7 days. However, Nissan explained that since I am in California, they do not provide printed titles but instead handle electronic titles through the DMV. This process might take up to 6 weeks, which is concerning as I am moving to Wisconsin in 4 weeks without a permanent address yet. I recently sold the van on 6/20 and need the title for transfer, but with the time constraint, I won't be present to sign it with the new owner. I require the title before July 29th to complete the transfer. Is there any way to expedite this process?

I have tried to take the permit test three times in the past few years. The distractions during my first attempt were overwhelming and caused me to fail. On my second try, I passed but wasn't able to meet the driving requirements for my license. This morning, during my third attempt, I failed twice because the woman next to me had five small children who were extremely disruptive and made it impossible for me to concentrate. This situation is unacceptable, and I believe my test was completely sabotaged.

Three years ago, I encountered an issue with the DMV that has been unresolved since. I got stopped due to a flat tire, and the officer, without my awareness, reported to the DMV that I lacked driving skills. Consequently, my license was suspended without receiving any notification. It took six months to reinstate it, only to later discover that the CHP officer was responsible for informing me to contact the DMV, which he failed to do. My car was towed twice during this period, adding to the inconvenience. It's frustrating how such situations can occur without our knowledge. There should be a better system in place to prevent unjust suspensions caused by lack of communication from law enforcement. The responsibility lies with the CHP officer for not following state laws and informing me properly, and the DMV should hold them accountable for their actions.

In late March [redacted], I completed the payment for my car loan anticipating the title. I discovered the car was titled in both Virginia and California. The Chase Bank, the lienholder, just sent overnight documentation on July 26, [redacted], to the California DMV title department regarding the vehicle's registration in Virginia to facilitate the release of the electronic CA title transfer. I have plans to move overseas by August 12, [redacted], and intended to ship the vehicle, but I need the title with no lienholder to proceed. I kindly request urgent processing and expedited title issuance to allow me to arrange shipping before my departure. Thank you.

I have visited the DMV twice, but my ID was not received despite their claims of mailing it. This has caused frustration as I have previously held IDs in multiple states. I have concerns with the REAL ID and wish for my ID to be processed promptly and correctly. I recently moved to protect myself and requested the ID be sent to Nevada, but it has yet to arrive due to address issues. I urge the DMV to handle this matter lawfully and with efficiency, as my safety is at risk. Thank you for your attention.
