Dear Customer Service, My name is J.B. and I'm a lifelong fan of the Phillies and any team that dislikes the Yankees, including the Red Sox. I will be attending the Boston vs. Philadelphia game at Citizens Bank Park on Friday night with my friend E., a devoted Red Sox fan who is battling early-mid stage Alzheimer's disease. E. is a wonderful person, and I try to spend time with him weekly. This week, I'm taking him to the game, and we are both thrilled to be in Section [redacted], Row 1, Seats 1 & 2. Would it be possible for a Red Sox player to sign a baseball for E.? It would mean a lot to him. I understand if this isn't feasible, and I will contact the Phillies if needed. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, J.B. from West Chester
It is evident that neither ownership nor management prioritizes the team. The pitching performance is subpar, making it hard to justify spending hard-earned money to watch their games. Despite the offensive efforts, the pitching staff's inability to hold leads is disappointing. The recent sweep at their home field by a lower-ranked team reflects a lack of concern from the team's owner, John Henry. This continuous cycle has landed the Red Sox back in the cellar. As a lifelong fan, aged 64, with a family tradition of supporting the team, the disappointment is deeply rooted. Attending only one game in childhood highlights the long-standing issues. Perhaps if fans united and boycotted games until ownership invested in quality players, there could be a positive change. As comedian Ron White humorously puts it, sometimes "You Can't Fix Stupid."
